Ugh... didn't need Familia to blow this one... the rest of the Bullpen staff were quite capable.

Aaron Judge not surprised by the emerging of Brandon Nimmo’s success. MILWAUKEE — Turns out Aaron Judge found Nimmo years ago and knew the outfielder was capable of being an impact player with the Mets. The Yankees star and Brandon Nimmo were teammates on the 2014 Scottsdale Scorpions in the Arizona Fall League. “I’m glad Brandon is getting the opportunity,’’ Judge told The Post earlier this week. “He’s a really good player.’’ Read more. nypost.com/2018/05/26/aaron-judge-not-surprised-by-this-emerging-mets-success/

Really? Again? deGrom... 7 nice innings right down the drain. Are they stuck in some nightmare of high school relief pitching? very sad. You can just imagine so many old, faithful Met's fans falling right off a cliff. Sickening

Fully capable of dropping 2 here.
The Mets give so many extra outs and gift bases it is ridiculous. Their defense is flat out horrendous.

Syndergaard goes on DL with finger injury Noah Syndergaard was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a strained ligament in his right index finger, the Mets announced on Tuesday. After experiencing soreness in the finger, Syndergaard -- who was scheduled to start on Wednesday against the first-place Braves in Atlanta -- underwent an MRI at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, which revealed the ligament strain. He dealt with a blood blister in the same finger that surfaced during his start on Opening Day. The club didn't give an indication how long it expected Syndergaard to be sidelined. Mets took 2 of 4 from the Braves which is nice is you're willing to ignore that they should have won all 4 games. Gsellman closed it out tonight, interesting move by Callaway. Thought he was going to use Familia for 2 innings, but his shaky 8th where he was bailed out by an amazing DP probably was enough evidence that he didn't need any more chances to blow it tonight. On the upside, Nimmo and Rosario have been picking it up, Plawecki is finally back, Joey Bats has actually been decent. I can't see past all the injuries, but there's a decent team in there somewhere.

I agree there is a decent team in there. Unfortunately that’s all it is.
Alderson always seems to manage, perhaps through sheer force of will, to always attain mediocrity.
Let’s go Mets

Yes, and tonight Matz gets pulled in the third for ANOTHER finger injury? You cant make this stuff up. Really? Damn, that sucks.. It's hard to believe how the Mets are getting slammed with injuries this year. We have 11 on the DL right now. 16 total so far this season. Almost every righty hitter we have is on the DL - Yoenis Cespedes, Juan Lagares, Todd Frazier, Wilmer Flores and Travis d’Arnaud. Kevin Plawecki just came back. Legares and d’Arnaud are done for the season. 2 starting pitchers are now on the DL too, along with 3 relievers. Its actually encouraging they are still over .500.

Plaw is picking up where he left off and the Os are stepping up too. Lets hope they can keep it close until we get some guys back from the DL. Still need the starters to pitch deeper into games.

The Mets offense is tremendous. Just amazin! Yes. As had been the hallmark of the Anderson era, we couldn’t buy a run from a hooker if we had a fistful of 100s. I hope the stadium empties for the rest of the year. Two advantages to that: 1 - it’s more enjoyable to go to a game without all those front running a-holes and 2 - maybe the owners will finally get the message that this two bit, billy beane tepid crap has no place in a market like NY. Take that shit back to Bum**** where it belongs. Another season wasted.

It is sad the way these pitchers are wasted without a team around them. Nothing changes. This is EXACTLY what Harvey went through when he was the ace. And wtf is up with Cespedes? Is there no timetable for him to return?

I laugh every time I read about a starting pitcher having a strong outing and being taken out ...for no good reason....only to have the bullpen blow the game....time ....and time .....and time .....and time ....and time again! It’s an idiotic practice that doesn’t work....why why why do they not see this, and continue doing it?????

The Mets/Jets are cursed organizations. The sooner some of you realize this, the better you'll sleep at night. Now if some of you are into yr in/yr out suffering with these 2 loser organizations, then more power to ya.
I sleep a lot better not giving a crap about either team anymore.
