I watched Wirfs a lot in the playoffs....I don't see much difference between him and Thomas. If Thomas can do what he did the last half of the season...he'll be fine. The first half was bad though.

I know fans here think they know more than Mel Kiper, but he was on Rannaan’s podcast today. Projects Waddle or Pitts as targets for us at 11, but both could be gone. Says Pitts should be viewed as a receiver. The opt outs will fall in the draft so teams should get steals in the later rounds. Grades 41 receivers in the first 6 rounds, there are some talented WR’s in the second round but the top 3 are a league above the rest. Draft is deep at WR bit empty on edge rushers.
Also grades Jones higher than all the QB’s except Lawrence. Still thinks Jones has a future but admits this is the year he needs to prove it.

In Florida he lined up mostly as the Y. Kiper's point was that you shouldn't compare him to traditional TE's. He's not going to be doing alot of blocking, which is why he fits the Giants where we utilize multiple TE's. |

As for Wirfs, he would have done just as well with us. Offensive line play can translate around the league. Now, the way they’re coached is something else. We had a revolving door at the position. So Thomas playing on an ankle that had to be repaired surgically. and Becton already missing games with a sore knee I think he will be greta if he can stay healthy. I'm not saying Thomas is the best of them but I will take the guy who puts the team first. |

We needed either side I wouldn't of had a problem with them going RT in the first at the same time I have no problem with them gong LT first we needed both and they got both jury is out but Peart showed some promise and Thomas was a man the second half. |

Pitts is not an NFL outside WR and should not be attempted to be converted into one Think Marquis Coleston witb more athletic ability and hight and blocking ability for a comparison that will be bad mismatches inside and against whomever follows him outside... |
