The season is approaching quickly so it's the perfect time to get some predictions going.
Let's get this thread bookmarked so we can all revisit after week 18.
The template is simple. Passing Yards, TDs, INTs, Completion %, Rushing Yards & Rushing TDs
Passing Yards: 4600 Yards Passing TDs: 36 TDs Passing INTs: 11 INTs Completion %: 63% Rushing Yards: 450 Yards Rushing TDs: 4 TDs
What are your predictions?

That scares the crap out of me me because even though he has a lot to prove, Mike Glennon is a nightmare. I'd much rather have Colt McCoy back.
I predicted 13 games played based on his two year record of getting hurt. My predictions for his productivity are a huge improvement on what we've seen. I do this because of the improved weapons we have.
Frankly, our entire QB situation scares the crap out of me.

13 games. 3200 yards 18 TD's 12 picks. How many fumbles? Probably a lot. Don't know if his pocket awareness will ever be where it needs to be.

I don't like Glennon as well, but I do see a bunch of Giants players, including Jones, Shep, Saquon, Jabril, etc., who've bulked up to survive a full season - similar to Phil in 1984.

With that logic I guess the Bengals blew the Burrow pick already Lol Will he only play 10 games this year as well? Or is he immune to the same logic you use on Jones?

The only stat I care about from him this season is 10+ wins. The only problem witb this is what if they do this despite Jones to where he is relegated to basically a game manager because he hasn't taken that next step, add in his injuries, and they barely win these games playing a goober style prevent offense that can't come back from any deficit despite the O line and WRs not the problem? A 10 will season and even a playoff spot and one and done with Jones not progressing puts is square in QB hell and not nearly enough ammo to trade up for a young draft pick that would be a QB away..

14 games started 6-8 3677 yards 62% comp 21 TDs 15 INTs 11 fumbles 299 yards rushing (2 TDs)
I hope for better stats because this will force us to look else where in 2022.

13 games. 3200 yards 18 TD's 12 picks. If he plays only 13 games, we win no more than 7 games. Could be as low as 5. Looking at it in the other direction, we won't win a single game without him at QB.

We had this thread already. thegiantsboard.proboards.com/thread/8823/predict-djs-stats-upcoming-yearMy prediction has not changed. To me realistically if he stays healthy. 1122 snaps (66 per game) , 500 attempts, 325 Completions (65% completion rate). 3900 yards in the air. (230 per game.) 30 TDs ( 1.8 per game.). 8 Ints ( 0.47 per game) 350 Rushing (20.5 per game) 4TDs 8 fumbles (4 lost). Sacked 25 times .(1.5 per game)

Pretty amazing no one thinks he plays 17 games. Amazing? Only two seasons to go on but he did miss tome both seasons. I hope the kid flourishes this season in 17+ games

Pretty amazing no one thinks he plays 17 games. In order to get the respect he has to earn it. So far, his durability is a big question mark.

Did you guys get this crazy about pocket awareness when Eli fumbled 52 times along with 88 INTs in his first 6 seasons?
Asking for a friend

15 games played 62% completion rate 3800 yards 28 TD’s 15 INT’s 7 fumbles For prespective those TD, INT & Fumble numbers are better than Eli's career average. Eli averaged 22 TDs 16 INTs & 8 Fumbles per season over his 15 year career.

If he has improved his game I see:
28 TD
13 Int
4100 yrds
65% compl
8 fumbles (lost)
275 yrd rushing - 3 td
Plays 14 + games
With the above if we make it to the playoffs our D will have to allow less than 16 ppg and our rushing game averages 130 yd/gm
If he has not improved I see
20 TD 15 int 10 fumbles lost 3000 yrds (doesn';t really matter) and we are shopping for a new qb with a new GM..If the GM stays after this we will be competing with the expansion Tampa Bay Bucs in futility

we had a board member proclaiming that Davis Webb was a "3rd round pick, 1st round talent"
I believe it was someone posting on this thread
so I'll just say I think Jones is a tough-minded dude like Eli and will progress as much as he likely can, hopefully enough to justify confidence in him as the starting QB for the foreseeable future and someone you're not looking to replace first chance you get, and I'll leave it at that

I could remind everyone that Phil Simms was considered "injury prone" in his first few years and turned into an iron man after that.
The problem is that each player stands on their own and injuries are very random.
I offer the comment to simply say, don't rush to conclusion about a player and his injuries after just a couple of years.
Jones could turn out to be truly injury prone or not. Why not hope for, even expect the best?

The season is approaching quickly so it's the perfect time to get some predictions going. Let's get this thread bookmarked so we can all revisit after week 18. The template is simple. Passing Yards, TDs, INTs, Completion %, Rushing Yards & Rushing TDs Passing Yards: 4600 Yards Passing TDs: 36 TDs Passing INTs: 11 INTs Completion %: 63% Rushing Yards: 450 Yards Rushing TDs: 4 TDs What are your predictions? I think that we would all be thrilled with numbers like these

The reason why I don't see him putting up big numbers is because I expect a run heavy offense.
