"The complete shake-up of “Sunday Night Baseball” will end with the TV voice of the Yankees, Michael Kay, being a part of the Alex Rodriguez “Manningcast” on ESPN, according to sources. The creation of Kay-Rod means that Rodriguez will not be on weekly “Sunday Night Baseball” telecasts anymore. The exact format of the “Kay-Rod” broadcasts has not been finalized, but presumably will include guests, just like Peyton and Eli. ESPN has been doing alternative “Megacasts” for years, so it has a wide variety of choices to pick out of its bag." Michael Kay will team up with Alex Rodriguez for ESPN ‘Manningcast’

I guess the Manning cast was very successful for them. Kay and A-Rod get along quite well, could be fun.

MLB, MLBPA set for Thursday bargaining session Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association will hold a bargaining session on Thursday, returning to the table (via Zoom) in an effort to work toward a new collective bargaining agreement. MLB -- which initiated the sit-down -- is expected to make a new proposal regarding some core economic and competitive issues at the meeting to address players’ concerns, the first since the lockout began on Dec. 2. www.mlb.com/news/mlb-mlbpa-bargaining-session

I’m not expecting much progress (if any) on Thursday, but yes. It’s about time they got to the table! I'm guessing it will bleed into late February, maybe even early March, but it is in both parties' best interest to have it settled without too much interruption to spring training.

Striking a deal before Opening Day would make sense, but I'm not optimistic. The players think they got a bad deal the last time around and they will want to turn back the clock in the next deal.

Serious question. Does she get her own locker room? Shower?

'He's an anomaly': Dominguez turning heads Jasson Dominguez is regarded as one of the most celebrated Minor League prospects in recent memory, with sky-high expectations accompanying his professional debut this past season. In Yankees general manager Brian Cashman’s view, the switch-hitting wunderkind lived up to the hype. Dominguez played in seven games for a Rookie-ball team before jumping to Low-A Tampa, where he batted .258/.346/.398 with nine doubles, a triple, five homers and 18 RBIs in 49 games. Cashman said that he believes only a select group of prospects would be capable of handling a similar jump to a full-season league as an 18-year-old. “His work ethic is exceptional; his will to be successful is exceptional,” Cashman said recently. “When you engage all the departments, whether it’s player development, performance science, the measurables that come along with it -- he’s basically an anomaly, something that doesn’t come along very often.” www.mlb.com/news/jasson-dominguez-exceeding-yankees-expectations

And the myth that Maddux didn’t want to play for the Yankees is put to rest. We missed out on one of the best right handed pitchers to step on the mound, at the age of 27.. all due because someone had a heart attack. Hollywood couldn’t make this shit up..

Michael Kay did some research on this Yankee executive who supposedly had a heart attack during that time and couldn't find one who did. Plus, Jimmy Key was signed by the Yankees the very next day. Why didn't the heart attack of this Yankee exec effect that signing?

Sounds like David Ortiz is getting into the HOF.
If that's the case, that a steroid using DH can get in, then they better let ALL of them in. Clemons, Bonds, McGwire, Sosa, Arod, ect. Also, Pete Rose, the best hitter in MLB history.
You cant pick and choose what steroid guy you want in because he was more media friendly.

Baseball tried their darnedest not to have his name come out on that list. It’s time the voters get off their high horse, and let all these guys in. Hell, Joe Jackson has been dead for 71 years. It’s time he gets in as well.

It ain't fair, but nothing any of us can do about it, just is how it is.

When Darin Erstad got a single vote, that was all I needed to know how much penis envy the voters have towards certain players. Harold Baines the human stat padder got in, but Barry Bonds can’t because he’s linked to steroids.

Hopefully 2023 will be the big leagues. Been saying this for years. Judge would benefit more than anyone once they start calling a real strike zone and not a make believe one from umps. I'm all for it.
