Rizzo woke me up with that home run. Still alive Chapman put me to 😴 Really looked bad there, every single one of the 5 pitched worked the lower inside of the plate (off or in). And he couldn't handle any of them They simply followed their scouting report on Matt Carpenter. You can tell because he threw him nothing but breaking balls in that at bat and Carpenter was fooled by each one like his name was Pedro Cerrano.

Striking out 17 times is absolutely sad. What makes it worse is that they only struck out twice.

Boone has a real decision to make with how not ready he looked. And Boone has a tendency of hanging on to guys too long who are obviously slumping

Striking out 17 times is absolutely sad. What makes it worse is that they only struck out twice. Sounds like Yankee baseball in October. K or HR teams die quick. Bad lineup last night. Hope they learned but I doubt it.

that was a hellishly poor approach to hitting last night. How many hitters got fooled by the same pitch again and again. Brutal. They'll chalk it up to Verlander's brilliance, I think it was simply a terrible outing for the Yanks. To your point Analyst, they set them selves up for this every year. Home run or bust tends to fail big time against better teams.

to his credit he did get the 2 out walk in top of 8th that moved Stanton to 2nd. Carpenter's at bat behind him ... That's another matter

Donaldson and Carpenter can't be in the line up tonight.

This would be my lineup tonight:
1-Torres 2B 2-Judge RF 3-Rizzo 1B 4-Stanton DH 5-Bader CF 6-Cabrera LF 7-Peraza SS 8-Donaldson 3B 9-Higgy C
I wish we had Andujar at 3B. We dont have another 3B on the roster.
EDIT
Second thought, Id flip Donaldson for IKF and play IKF at 3B, same order.

These guys do great work and point out why we need a robotic strike zone: #3 was the worst call IMO and could have changed the game. Would have been a 3-0 count, but instead went to 2-1, with runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Can't wait for the robo-ump...

Bader leading off, Seve on the mound, Stanton batting 3rd. Looks like Boone is playing the hot hand in the lineup, rather than large career data sets

Well, at least they didn't strike out a single time in the top of the first inning 😄

That's probably the ballgame with this home run or bust offense.

The play by play guy has his head up Houston's ass. I clicked on a video link that GT put up of an Ohara interview with Wink, and it led me to a killer concert video of some guitar giants, that I've had on since, so have the TV muted, thankfully...

Horrible freaking not called ball 4 on Stanton. That should have been runners at 1st and 2nd with LH Rizzo against RH pitcher. 🤬

I'm not trying to be paranoid about this crew, but NY also had to over rule they're bad pick off call at first
