I can't say that I have ever seen a worse RT than Solder (getting paid LT money btw) Yes you have. His name is Ereck Flowers.

Solder is rated as one of the worst OT's in the NFL. Don't need the ratings to assess how bad he really is. Guys coming off the right edge are in position to take the handoff before our RB's (ok bit of an exaggeration but not far from truth). Can Peart really be worse? If so, none of the injuries affected the right side of the line Gettleman constructed. Hernandez has never looked so bad as he has recently. Should have kept Zeitler and drafted an OT, end of story. It really is incredible that this team needs four offensive lineman after all these years with Gettleman. Everytime I watch Peart, I am waiting for him to start to dominate his man. He does not seem to have the aggressiveness or intensity to dominate

I legit think they continue to play Solder out of respect for him honestly, I seriously doubt it is because he is better than Peart because he is not at least not at this point in his career when Peart blocks he tends to put his head down and does not do a good job squaring up to his man. I have often seen him miss assignments and frankly speaking thinks he is built like Tarzan but plays like Jane.

I think the reason that Flowers was so bad is because Jerry Reese was the only GM who thought that he should be at LT. Flowers is currently a very good guard. I wish Peart had the level of aggressiveness that Flowers displayed. I truly believe if Peart were better than Solder he would be playing.

This debate is really much ado about nothing ... neither of these guys has a future as a starter on this team.

There's a reason why Flowers has played on a different team every season since leaving the Giants. As for Peart, more aggressive like Flowers? Yes. Kicking people? No.

He is a quiet guy and I believe he had just turned 21. Suddenly he’s in a starting role with high expectations and struggling. As McAdoo explained “he can’t bend” yet was forced into that LT role like you stated. Kudos he was drafted early yet he should have stayed in school as i see it. As far as this aggressiveness, that bandwagon just started as nobody mentioned Peart’s lack of aggressiveness until the coach said it. Until now, our modern day wannabe GMs kept blaming coaches. B.T.W. - Ereck Flowers was already off the Giants roster at the Peart’s current age.

Add another name ( Peart ) to failed third round picks. The list continues to grow.
Giants should trade there third round pick, for a player of need. Or, move up in the first or second rounds.

Or, move up in the first or second rounds. the history is brutal in the 3rd Round. I think Tuck went in the 3rd long ago but, gee, it’s almost no ROI. Yeah, trade up. Heck, trade back. Get out the entire 3rd Round. Edit - just checked out the history. Give or take slight, slight contribution, it’s basically Manningham and Tuck since 1997 eatdrinkandsleepfootball.com/nfl/nyg/drafthistory/
