Realistically, if the Giants can come out playing some consistent offense esp. with Landry out and the secondary can hold it's own with the DL containing Henry, well I think we have a ball game to watch.
We'll see how well prepared this team with it's new coaches and leadership; I am ready to be pleasantly surprised!

I picked us to lose because I want to be wrong... and I'm afraid of disappointment. (So why the hell am I Giants fan, you ask?... $#1t happens!)
But I think we've got a shot... IF we score 7 on the first drive and don't give up points in the last two minutes of either half. Oremus.

What’s that we’re smelling in the air: oh yeah, it’s an upset. No one is giving the New York Giants much of a chance going up against the Tennessee Titans in Nashville in Week 1. The Titans have been listed as strong favorites, with countless experts out there expecting Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry to power the AFC South side to a victory. Not so fast. While yes, there’s plenty of question marks surrounding the G-Men, this is still a team that features plenty of talent. Will they be able to stun the Titans on Sunday, Sept. 11? We think so, and here’s three reasons why. 3. Saquon Barkley will have a game to remember There’s no one who is more ready for this moment than Saquon Barkley. All offseason, Barkley had to deal with constant hate and outside noise. There were trade rumors, including ones that had him going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and more. Instead of leaving town, Barkley has stayed put and he’s motivated to have a huge year. Things will start with a monster game against the Titans. With the new offense being implemented by Brian Daboll and Mika Kafka, Barkley is going to have every opportunity to show he’s still an explosive player. Whether it be recording carries or receptions, Barkley is going to be ready to have his number called. Barkley was fantastic this summer, reminding people several times of how special he can be. It’s going to be on No. 26 to live up to the hype and prove all of his doubters wrong. Look for Barkley to flirt with 150 total yards and a pair of touchdowns. Will that come in a Giants victory? You better believe it. 2. Daniel Jones will have a big game himself Is this wishful thinking? Potentially, but let’s gamble a little bit folks. All eyes are going to be on Daniel Jones come Week 1. There’s surely more pressure on him against the Titans than Barkley. Everyone outside of East Rutherford has been writing Jones off, saying this will 100 percent be his final season with the G-Men. With the team making the easy call to not pick up his fifth-year option, Jones must have a big year or be out of a job. This could very well be his last chance to remain a starter in the NFL. We think he’s going to end up rising to the occasion and get things done in a big way against the Tennessee defense. While starting left guard Shane Lemieux has been placed on the Injured Reserve and will miss the first four games of the year, left tackle Andrew Thomas, center Jon Feliciano, right guard Mark Glowinski and right tackle Evan Neal will do everything possible to give Jones time vs. the Titans. We’ll predict Jones to finish with 255 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in a close win. 1. The real Kenny Golladay will show up for the Giants We’re sticking with offense and we’re sticking with our guns in having faith in players who might be questionable picks. Yes, we’re inviting Kenny Golladay to the party. It’s been a month to forget for the standout wide receiver. Matter of fact, things just haven’t gone according to plan for No. 19 since he arrived in New Jersey. Golladay has been blasted by the fanbase this summer after he’s been spotted going at less than 100 percent both in practice and during preseason action. It’s not what you’d expect from someone who signed a four-year, $72 million deal not too long ago. Golladay wants to bounce back in 2022, though, after a terrible 2021. He’ll have the chance to make some major noise vs. the Titans. This will be the kind of game where Golladay can really get his NY career back on track. People were calling for him to either get traded or cut in recent weeks. Golladay could win back the hearts of so many if he can post something in the range of seven receptions for 70 yards and a touchdown. If the Giants want to pull off this upset, they’ll need the offensive weapons to rise to the occassion. Obviously, the list includes Golladay, who has what it takes to get back to his No. 1 WR form. gmenhq.com/2022/09/06/ny-giantts-upset-tennessee-titans-week-1/3/WTF? The Titans are only 5.5 favorites ....what happened to real journalism and reporting. Home teams usually get a field goal for being well, the home team. After a college weekend of top 10 teams playing each other with 18 point spreads, 5.5 seems awfully tight.

Wink's Raven defense two season's ago held the Titans to 13-points thru the 3rd period. Can Giants defense do the same? Hope so.
Will Giants methodical offense dominate the clock and keep the Titan's Henry off the field?
Under OC Daboll, the Bills offense last season scored 31-points against the Titans. Can the Giants match that? Should be close if Giants offense and players are as good as they appear to be.

Man I feel we'll need them for sure!! Would be great news if both are close to 100% for the game or can play. I'd hate to see Kayvon get re-injured or experience a setback...but would love to see him on the field.

Titans Stadium has a Bermuda Sod Grass surface. In case any one wanted to know. This is a hybrid. This is a cross bluegrass, Kentucky bluegrass, featherbed bent, and northern California sinsemilla. The amazing stuff about this is that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt at night on this stuff. I've got pounds of this stuff.

We can't forget about the NYG "X factor"! WanDale ? He's gonna get his touches but no. Kadarious? I think he makes an impact play or two but no. I just have a funny feeling Mr David Sills makes a huge play in this game! Thats if he's still on the active 53 come Sunday. "The forgotten man".

The Titans were the #1 seed in the AFC last year, have 23 wins in the last two years, and we’re 7-2 at home in 2021.
Any given Sunday of course. But really?
I love Daboll and the new coaching staff. I’m excited to see this team evolve. I’ll watch every second of our game on Sunday.
But good coaching takes an embarrassing team and makes it competitive. It doesn’t turn it into a championship contender. That’s who the Titans are right now.

as long as we play a respectable game, even if we lose I will be OK with it and consider it progress, but I would love a win....

The unknown vs the known Our staff all have been in the AFC and know what the Titans do on both sides of the ball. The Titans have no clue what we will be doing,he'll none of us know other than to speculate (all I can theorize is the slip/missle screen will be a staple play and Jones will be playing 80% out of shotgun with a lot of RPO and an option route based offense) If our staff is as good as we hope and we execute we have a half to jump them big time, and if we hold them in check it takes Henry out of the game somewhat (hoarding the ball and ball control is meaningless if we don't get out to a 2 score lead because they can ball control us back and keep it close or get a lead otherwise) Also They have a completely new WR core..a rookie that while many of us felt would be a year 1 replacement for Brown(my theory of trading your top guy for a high pick used for a direct replacement for WRs is in full effect here ),a guy coming off an ACL (Woods)and.... They also lost Harold Landry...huge blow as it will make our tackles job a little easier ... Slow Henry down so its field goals for them and the Giants must score 7's. Use all weapons in the arsenal. Bring the modern offense to the field and don't turn the ball over! If they can do this they have a chance.

The Giants offense is going to move the ball well against the Titans as the Giants offensive system and players can't be stopped. They amply demonstrated that in it's pre-season games, and will again in regular season games when they bring out their big guns.
That will only get better in future games as the Giants players get more reps and install more plays.
If the Giants defense can hold the Titans running game in check, that bodes well in future games when the Giants again play good running teams.
Agree defending opponents passing game will be a work in progress. We'll be able to access in the Titans if the Giants are or are not up to par already.

You must be betting or if not you should since you think its a sure thing. Like a one horse race

The Giants defense is based on pressuring opponents QB. As such, it tries to give opponents QBs less time yo pass the ball. Most other NFL defenses don't do that.
By Wink having his defense be pro-active, when successful opponent QBs have less time to throw, and makes it more difficult for deep oasss to be completed. When pressure not applied the advantage of the defenses switches to the opponents passing game.
By applying a pressure defense, the Giants cornerbacks have to play a man to man defense. As such, the Giants need have tall and very quick corners to cover speedy receivers. The Giants now have that in McCloud, Flott, and Pinnock.
All three are young and inexperienced. As such, they hesitate when receivers make their cuts or go deep. Once they learn to overcome that the Giants backfield should be solid.
I don't think that will take long with Wink as their coach, but we'll have to wait and see.

They're going to be much more interesting to watch this year. They will be well coached. They will be in this game. Gano at the end for the win.
Go Blue.
New year. New look. New hope.
