Shit happens. I'm sure that he feels bad about it. He even apologized and vowed to come back ready to rock. The way fans are treating him about it is flat out embarrassing and pathetic. The same fans calling him all kinds of names will be back to riding his sack when he is back and making plays.

Dammit ! Frustrating, how many weeks is he going to miss ? Yes it was an accident but dammit this hurts the team and our defense. Both Houston and Detroit can score.
No discipline because he won't forget it when it's time to re-sign. No money kept from him. He did own it, and thats a sign of a captain especially for a young player.
But it now makes a position of strength for us a weakness.
Lets just take a deep breath and move on, it always could be worse. Live with it and make it work till he comes back just like we would if he got hurt playing. We do have a week to prepare.

I have no way of knowing. Do you think Ward and X would have doing it including Ward posting that picture if they were told not not to do it? I cant imagine any head coach doesnt say have fun and be safe. and yes they would do it no matter what Dabs would have said. posting is stupid either way. Even if its "allowed" it shows a lack of resposibilty Have fun and be safe is nice but is not saying dont risk any injury or something more specific imo. They should know but Ward posting that picture makes me wonder if they were told. I do not think he would post that picture if told specifically, |

I respect his apology and that he was honest about it. That shows a lot of maturity after the fact. With that said the coaches should have warned them not to be involved in any activities like Ward posted imo. That is part of their player contracts. It specifically mentions ATVs. |

Still, Giants fans are tired of being one of the most injured injured teams constantly over many years. When a team captain gets injured on a bye vacation where he broke his contract, it doesn't help with the vitriol. Hopefully he learned something. But 4 weeks is a lot when our schedule is going to get very difficult in our division. For me, I don't think we're going anywhere even if we make the playoffs, so I'd rather he learned this lesson this year. He's a really good player. |

Bye week, sometime off to rest, relax and decompress; whatever Cabo is great place to hang by the pool, get some spa time eat, drink and be merry but just don't get hurt. ATVs are dangerous but lots of fun to ride, just don't do it in the middle of the freaking football season when your team is playing it's best ball in years.
I am sure the Giants front office will take the player contract and in bold font state no ATVs during the football season
Shows you they are still kids and this becomes a lesson learned, still frustrating as hell.

I’m sorry , I know accidents happen but you make millions to play a damn sport that has games 18 weeks a year .. is it to much to ask that your not an idiot for a few months ? This is just so typical of the giants .. we have one guy pretending to be hurt so he can get traded , and now we have another guy actually hurt because his need to do stupid stuff on his off week was more important than the team .. this crap is just getting old

That is a good point. Character of a captain. That said I wonder if the Giants can save money by not paying him due to a injury outside of football? It's still a business. The answer is yes they can save salary and cap space but will they? They may not want to upset X. Risking your career in a risky adventure shows poor judgment and hurts your team. Smart ❌ Dependable❌ I hoped he would be fined but losing salary is better. And SCREW upsetting him... they should read him the riot act! |
