lets hope so. With the other changes, that could push our line to be pretty decent. Something a lot of us thought would be very difficult to accomplish in one offseason.

maybe Flowers should've been considered for right tackle all along, especially since he never demonstrated any talent at left tackle.
oh well, Jerry Reese paid a price for his lack of knowledge of Eric Flowers.

Wasn't he supposed to be the left tackle of the future after spending a year at right tackle, hopefully he can turn the corner and be a good RT.

I think Flowers can be an asset. People forget that he did show nice toughness and played through a slew of injuries.

I was hoping Wheeler was going to come into camp this year and look bigger and stronger. I'm really rooting for Wheeler to being good enough to beats out Flowers for the starting position.

This is his last gasp, to go to RT where he should have been all along. Flowers needs to show marked improvement since he has been a big disappointment to date and he is past the point of wishful thinking, he must demonstrate improvement 100% with no excuses. Plus the Giants are ready to move on from a first round draft pick bust...

And they are right when they say it lol, lets hope god gives Flowers and the Giants a gift and helps him find his way on the right side.

Plus the Giants are ready to move on from a first round draft pick bust... This is 100% accurate. Also, it's completely ridiculous that Flowers was the last to show up considering his poor past performance and transitioning to a new position. He really did himself a disservice by acting like a pouting baby instead of just showing up and taking a I'll show them what I can do attitude...

I read somewhere that Ereck is upset that you mis-spelled his name.

As much as I hope Flowers can rebound as RT this year, I don’t have my hopes up. We’ve heard positive things in the offseason about him before and it hasn’t translated to the field. This is a guy who didn’t figure out that he should come into camp until Drew Rosenhaus told him to go. We’ll see what happens but I’m not going to read into any offseason hype with him.

I haven’t heard much about Wheeler in these OTAs. That may be a good or bad thing. I really believe OTA's don't tell the real story. Preseason will determine who starts at RT IMO.

He was slated to play RT but was thrust into the LT position when Beatty got hurt. This is one reach by Jerry that I believe contributed to him losing his job. He was the highest-rated offensive lineman still on the board when the Giants picked him. Can you imagine the vitriol that would have been spewed at Jerry Reese had he NOT picked an offensive lineman? He's already maligned for not taking offensive linemen despite his having used two first-round picks (2013 and 2015) in three years on OLs.

The reach was trying to conveet him to left tackle when he never played that position and no one else projected him as a left tackle..hopefully he will work out on the right side...

It amazes me how no matter how long guys suck there are still people who think they're magically going to show up the next season and play well.

positive news is good news. he is not nearly out of the woods yet but he is on a path. This ^ At this point I welcome any news on Flowers that isn't "he's still a disaster."

I would rather have some hope then just consider it a lost cause. When and if he gets cut then so be it. Up till then I try to trust the coaches and staff.

I believe they are more into training to fix issues. They also seem to believe in mentoring. Having Solder work with Flowers is a positive sign.
