Daboll throwing Taylor under the bus a bit there lol How would Raanan surmise this? Did Daboll tell him? It was in the post game press conference. I don't like the coach throwing the qb under the bus. He needs to take the fall on that or just state what happened regarding the instruction on any given play remains between the coaches and the players and they will continue to work to achieve better outcomes that will lead to wins and not losses.

We lost this game at the end of the first half Correct. It was a deserved loss. You cannot make that mistake or be so poor in coaching communication that it could even occur. At the end of the day when a team hasn't scored a TD in 3 or 3.5 games in a league that everything is slanted towards scoring there is issues with coaching preparation and talent.

At the end of the day he was alerted not to run the ball if that was relayed to him through the head set there is no excuse. Agree there is some disconnect here right now. I have led people in high pressure situations where violence/injury can occur and you can look them dead in the eyes and tell them what to do and they will F it up if they haven’t been drilled significantly beforehand. I agree I know I was in the service and training is the only way in high pressure situations that you get by. Not sure what they do but it does make sense that Taylor might not be as Sharp he hasn't been getting the reps.

I will say this if this defense can mange to be like this week inane week out the Giants will have a chance to draft and use freeagency to get this offense up and running.
I have to say with some decent OL play this team might be 3-3 that is still the biggest issue think Pughs experience helped he was making line calls at one point.

Bobby Okereke has been very very good lately. Started off the year with lots of shaky plays to go with the positive plays. He has cleaned it up as of late and has been playing very well.
Best I’ve seen a Giants LB play in a very long time

Daboll is going to be the one who is ultimately held responsible.

IMO, Waller had no chance to catch that ball due to PI. Defender grabbing Waller's jersey near his left shoulder which also prevented his arm extending over his head. I fully expected to see Barkley leaping over the line on that play. If that happened I would fully expect Barkey getting hit and stopped 2 yards behind the LOS and everyone cursing out Daboll.

Daboll is going to be the one who is ultimately held responsible. A 13 year vet needs to be reminded of the situation at hand? This is routine for such seasoned NFL QBs. Yes he does. And was. And every coach doing their job would remind on the play and drill this situation on a weekly/even daily basis. Taylor F’d it up. But the fact that his body and mind were even able to do that just shows he hasn’t been in that situation enough times for things to be automatic. He’s a backup so the only way to “be in the situation” is practice reps. Reps in meetings, etc. We have coaches for a reason. If the players didn’t need to be drilled, reminded and prepared, NFL teams wouldn’t have like 20 coaches on staff. But you sink to the level of your preparation. This team doesn’t have a handle on key situations and it shows. That goes back to practice in the summer, and all the weeks since. It’s not surprising given that Taylor doesn’t have the reps. If I am Brian Daboll I am focusing my coaching on how everyone needs to handle the last 7.5 minutes of the first half and the first 7.5 minutes of the second half. And then the last 5 minutes of a game. These situations are getting botched too often. It’s an indication of poor coaching. Either they’re not practicing it, or they need to find a new way to communicate and teach on these points.

was a really good defensive performance against a talented offense. If we kicked a field goal to end the first half, who knows how the game would have ended. TT looked pretty decent in there, even if we only managed 9 points. Interesting to see who starts next Sunday against the Commies.

That's true but damn, you could live with it if he doesn't make it. Waller's been so ineffective in the red zone. I just have no faith in that play. I honestly liked the call. Waller makes that play if he could get his left hand up. if you watch the replay as Collinsworth and Tarico showed over and over, he couldn't get his hand up because the guy was holding it. The NY official they were talking to said in his opinion because the ball was already thrown and it was in the act of the play it was the right call but Collinsworth said well hell it's clear he was prevented from completing the process to try and make the catch because his arm was held..........

I have to say the offensive line and the offense looked better. Don't know if it was TT or some different type of motivation but I don't mind these type of losses. It's sad they still could not score a TD and because we had some yards we feel better, this and Seattle were winnable games with steady OL play and decent QB play. I think Neal took some strides tonight have to watch it again a loss like this is aggravating because Waller was being held if the throw is on his hands it's a win. he dam sho was being held smdh especially the left arm trying to get it up to catch the ball. He almost had a chance at one handing it still...

Totally TT. Taylor saw every blitz coming and got the ball out quickly. DJ gets sacked 8-10 times in that game. The Bills brought pressure on almost every throw. I agree. TT also had better pocket presence. He knew when to bail or throw the ball away. absolutely. Jones wait too damn late to decide to try and do something and always make throwaways look hard and damn near an intenional grounding for sometimes a reciever not being in the area lol

like i said it look like the ol played believing in TT He made plays look easier that danny. the ball moved up and down the field smoother. but no touchdown. major problem absolutely looked like a normal nfl offense

The Bills brought pressure on almost every throw. the one good thing about TT throughout his career is that he doesn't turn the ball over. I had a lot more confidence with him out there that we wouldnt lose it with an INT on that final possession yup for his career around 66 tds to 20 ish Ints

Both that final call and the roughing-the-passer calls were egregiously bad. Good breakdown by Collinsworth tbh. i can't stand refs smh...........

9 points on offense against a team like thought will never get it done. It was right there for us and we didn't close the deal. Better QB play and some costly penalties but the fact we were this close to winning it and at the same time not looking like amateurs on National TV was a good feeling. afreakinmen..............

It was a PI, refs aren’t going to call back to back PI for the optics of them potentially impacting who won and lost the game. Good throw that a TD hands were free you didn't see the other angle of his left hand?

Just last week or the week before you claimed Waller needed to make the catch because the ball hit him in the hands. The ball hit him in the hands on this last throw and now it's a poorly thrown ball? Okay. I thought it was high and I thought it was way to much contact. Think Jones should stay down a few games see if tyrod can get a couple wins the schedule is gonna lighten up some If he does leave him out there. Put Jones on notice if they don't start winning Schoen should be looking for his next QB and Daboll and Kafka should have plenty of say. i damn sure would stay with TT for at least one more game minimum to see how the O look with him and even if we score 3 points as long as we continue to move the ball up and down the field and look crisp we will at least know we can do that. Then put JOnes back in maybe and see if we can at minimum move the ball and keep the flow of the game, see if he can at the least do that..............

We all know the player made an error. But it’s a coaching failure that the player could even conceive of that idea. This situation should have been drilled mercilessly every day…every week since training camp. Everyone loses their heads when the live bullets start flying and you will fall to the level of your training. This game exposed several coaching issues that must be fixed. At the end of the day he was alerted not to run the ball if that was relayed to him through the head set there is no excuse.Agree there is some disconnect here right now. if it was relayed lol. I wonder if it was or not. Dabs could have drilled that during practice sure but hopefully it was relayed in the headset. I'd like to hear what TT says.

I also noticed Barkley seemed to be hesitant as to what move to make several times when he got the ball that seemed to probably help in not gaining nothing and/or losing yards....

Taylor earned the right to get a some starts but this wasn't much different than what we have seen the only difference is the D got off the field and gave the ball back to the offense most of the game Aside from the 10 minute drive that was aided by a couple crap calls.
