Hope this is just a cold start to the season, because this lineup looks bad. No clutch hitting at all.
Combined with lousy starting pitching not good at all.

If you were looking for the baseline worst start outside the losers this was it. Starting pitching not good enough, offense not good enough, bullpen not good enough, Harrison Bader why, also this bullshit where Alvarez who already seems like their best hitter bats 7th. š¤¦āāļø

And scored half the time. Nobody was thrown out stealing in the entire series. Their "best" hitters are sucking wind. You can count hits on one hand all the hits from lindor and nimmo. Also the squirrel. They all look lost against the pitchers they faced. The pitching is almost worse. No starter lasted 5 innings. All I can say is it's early. But nothing is working for this team so far. Wow š® |

Watching this game, I realized something about this team.
They are boring to watch so far. No exciting base running, no great pitching, lackluster hitting. The most excitement was batys HR, and they still couldn't come back with a win.
Manaea looks good so far though.

Never thought I'd be thinking this, but I hope we get rained out.
Lindor and nimmo, hitting 1 and 2, are 1 for 16 so far. Nimmo, lindor and Pete went 0-11 last night.

They finally had a 3 run lead in the first game, only to see it tied then lost in the 11th by giving up 3 runs.
Now they are hitless through 6, and actually hitless in the last 12 innings, down 1-0.
Even the announcers are incredulous on both TV and radio. Maybe this team needs to get out of NY.
Edit: Gary Cohen provides a fun fact that 13 innings without a hit is a 50 year record for the Mets. Stadium is basically empty, Cohen says "feels like rock bottom."
