The Mets have made the road tougher on themselves so if they're running out of gas now, that's on them. Still it's a seven game series, I don't say die until the final out of the final game. |

He immediately dismissed thoughts that Alvarez should be replaced. I think this is a mistake. When someone is totally lost and it’s a detriment to the team you have to take a chance. Torrens showed himself well capable during the season.

OK this has become a big game for us. We lose and were down 3-1 and have to beat the Dodgers 3 games in a row. Damn tough assignment.
Quintana has been one of our most reliable starters the 2nd half of the season. Hopefully being a lefty neutralizes the Dodgers left handed bats.
If it was me I'm going Quintana, Peterson and Manea 3 lefties in a row. Senga can come in for relief for a few middle innings hopefully saving our bullpen.
Big game for our season tonight.

It's still hard to believe we should even be here. Maybe that's because I watched at least part of almost every game and know the limitations of this team.
But there has also been so many magic moments from so many players it's hard to not believe.
We need this one. Maybe Alvarez can do the magic tonight. LGFM.

I’m nearing the point of accepting that we are outclassed by LA. Which is scary because this roster is actually like 70% of LA. If it finishes the way it is now this FO has a lot of work to do. Big decision on Pete. He hit that big HR and seemed to maybe be ready to carry the team, but he’s back to looking bad. Not over til someone gets to 4, but it looks bad.

Edit: just to summarize, we walked 9 batters last night. And we got 10 hits for 2 runs, they had 12 for 10 runs.
A 21 run differential through 4 games.
We knew our issues going in, and our pitching was just good enough to allow the comebacks to happen. Sad that everything is going bad at the same time.

This Dodger team looks like much the better team. To beat them 3 games in a row would be another Met miracle. As the old saying goes one game at a time.
I said the Mets should start Peterson and use Senga in relief and that's what the Mets are doing. Start the left handers to try and stop their big left handed bats.
Lets just win this game . We'll worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

It is what it is. I never expected them to get this far so I won't be pissed if they lose to an obviously better team.
It would be nice for the fans to win one at home and at least send it back to LA. Don't want to watch the dodgers celebrate at Citi field.
