I have only heard of him interviewing with Jacksonville maybe he has a shot in Dallas if Quinn moves on but this situation with him and Daboll seems to have damaged both men.they handled it well inside the building.
But the childish back and forth starting with leaking info mid year and on seems to have screwed both guys up.

It’s sorta like a game of Jenga right now.
That Seattle HC job may shift the market completely.
It will also let us know what the real fallout is from the Dabs/Wink hissy fit.
If Quinn gets the gig does Wink go to Dallas, and does Kafka start looking for a new OC gig.
One or both could happen.
But it’s still telling for me that Wink doesn’t have a gig. I don’t think we have a DC because we’re competing for a guy who has multiple suitors. I think Joe laid it out that we’ll know this week which signals either his confidence in finishing a deal or his determination to not be someone’s consolidation prize.

Eagles were reportedly interested, that's not happening and they never interviewed him. Guess there wasn't that much interest. Seems when you piss off two head coaches and burn enough bridges while having a 27th ranked defense teams are a little leery of hiring you.
We won't know the impact on Daboll, but certainly doesn't seem to be much.

That’s what happens when you get your doors blown off from the hinges.. Our offense got top billing of this shit show.. As the defense got casted out.. We gave up so many yards that offenses started getting frequent flyer miles. Pathetic seasons come with a hefty price.. and he’s paying for it with blood.
No team wants to be saddled with a coach who beats to his own drum. Unless you have head in front of your job title.. you ain’t shit. He also did himself no favors trying to punk his old team and putting them on blast with a twelve gauge shotgun to the face. This is a fraternity.. where friends are your lifeline. Burn them, and you’ll find yourself working a lemonade stand.

Every week I would see them make a play here and there but got torched for huge yardage on multiple plays and it became predictable when it was going to happen. **** him. I want to start seeing three and outs. You need that to win games. He couldn’t get it done.

From hiring Kafka's interviews seem he is set to stay for this year anyway so there is one guy thats not afraid and plans to improve this offense. |

He has now left two teams after apparently feuding with the head coach and has not been hired even though there are openings. As much as I appreciated turnover-fest for 7 weeks, paired with improved play, and the fact his 3rd down defense was always solid, he couldn't even replicate his good Baltimore run defenses here even though we have the best nose in the league paired with Leonard Williams throughout most of his tenure. Add to that sloppy tackling for much of his two seasons. We gotta get this guy off a pedestal. No idea if the next guy will be better, but I don't think acting like we lost Dick LaBeau makes a lot of sense either. |

To be fair, it seems like it was definitely happening in Baltimore to a degree, but for sure looks worse here. There was no public blowup with Baltimore. Just a fair amount of reports (with validity) that some of these things, thematically speaking, were also happening there. But Harbaugh is one of the best coaches in the NFL and Daboll clearly has some work to do, so that's not surprising. |
