Most gurus now wouldn’t agree with you. Patriots are probably grabbing McCarthy at #3 Vikings also like McCarthy early. Even some of my Chicago buds say McCarthy for the Bears isn’t out of the question with a trade back a few spots. Some people still pretty slow on realizing what all McCarthy brings to the table. I think his value is higher than #6 As in real estate value is what a person is willing to pay not what someone’s opinion of a value is. I'll take Morehead State over those gurus any day. They are trying to get views so saying crazy things works for them. Doesn't make it real. Four QBs in the first 6 picks almost never happens and there's good reason for that. There hasn't been a draft this deep with Quarterbacks. At this point it's not even debatable, it'll be 4 QB"s in the top 6 at worst.

I’m still psyched about those wins over NE and Washington, it’s fun to think of how much we may give up for a QB in this draft or how much more we’ll likely have to give up next year if we want a QB in 2025. Exciting stuff, the bragging rights have been worth a 2nd rounder and MAYBE a future 1st alone 😄

This is why “you better take a QB” is just a hot take based on 5% info. If you want a QB (in a year like this year from #6) you’re gonna overpay. So “you better take a QB” needs to be based on thinking who you’re taking is the next Mahomes. I’m not getting caught up in the QB fever. If JS believes in one, move heaven and earth. Bet your career. You basically are after the DJ deal. If not, take a player you feel just as strongly about at a positionally appropriate spot. Just make sure you’re taking a valued starter. You can’t really go wrong with that You can go wrong if you never get a QB that can win games. There have been loaded rosters that never sniffed the playoffs due to a mediocre or bad QB. I’m not saying any of these QB’s are the answer but at some point the GM has to take a swing, even if he misses, and this may be the best year to do it without having to give up the farm due where we are picking and the amount of “alleged” good QB’s. So unless you think Jones or Lock are the answer, or somehow we find a gem in the later rounds than I prefer he go for it now. Hopefully he’s better at scouting QB’s than tackles and DE’s.

But that's not even my point, taking the 4th QB remaining would be a massive risk and in the entire history of the NFL is almost never worth the top 6 pick.
There is no debate, none of us know how many will go in the top 6. I hope you're right and 4 QBs get taking before us.

We dont need a QB yet. We are still in a 3 to 5 year rebuilding process. Quarterback doesn't come at the front in my opinion. I expect us to have a top 10 pick again next year. Let's think about QB then and build out a roster now

Someone jump the Giants for a pick they are tied to and very possibly want?
No way!
That never happens.
Giants should be pushing all the "Brock Bowers was touched by the hand of God" lines they can right now.
It's too oblivious they wants QB then WR. And I'm leaning JJ McCarthy vibes from them. They need to throw some curve balls out there.
Or, is that what they are doing already? Lol. Nah, they want to replace Jones lol

You can thank your boy and hero Dave Gettleman for that, no competent GM drafts a RB with the 2nd overall pick or reaches for a shitty ass QB with the 6th overall pick or trades back for a guy who had clear red flags when they could have drafted Parsons or Slater. But hey, you’re the one who defended him until the very end and now you’re essentially blaming him for his incompetence, rightfully so. Schoen hasn’t been that impressive with his top 10 picks either but in a year when we NEED a QB, I would have preferred we lost two more games and he had a top 3 pick to either trade back or potentially move up for whatever QB he wanted which would have cost much less than moving up from the 6 spot just to get a shot at one of the 3. ”Real” fans see the big picture, you don’t.

Let's think about QB then and build out a roster now I somewhat agree but 1) do you think Schoen and Daboll will be here if we have another top 10 pick? (maybe IMO) and what if there’s only 2 alleged good QB‘s and we’re picking 6th-10the behind 2-3 other QB needy teams? My point is, this may be our best chance to grab one, drafting a QB isn’t something you keep kicking down the road when the only two 2 on your current roster suck hind tit and the “starter” already has a few significant injuries. If we were picking say 10th-15th I would be much more apt to agree with you.

yeah Vikings have the Capital Now for sure, 11 and 23 is more than enough to get them in the Top 5 most likely with the Chargers Harbaugh is going WR definitely now after trading Keenan Allen today for a 4th rd pick. He has no playmakers he's got rid of Ekler, Williams, and now Allen. I assume they're eyeing Nabors or Odunze at WR with the #5 pick. The rookie will be their only play maker. Now 2 1st rd picks the #11 and the #23 might be too much to pass on. The question do you want that WR stud or that extra !st rd player.

McDonald the DC from the Ravens that became the HC at Seattle. Dan Quinn the DC from Dallas now at Washington. IMHO we are going to have the worse HC and the worse QB in the NFC East.

I’d agree if this was JS’ first big decision at QB. It’s not. Unless someone is going to give JS credit for taking a QB that’s a backup, he’s better off with BPA. His next QB decision is probably his last. Again, it’s not an argument to skip QB. Just there’s 0 upside to taking a QB because you feel the pressure to take one. So take a QB because you’re excited about taking the QB. If you want yo take a QB because you feel you need to? Then hit a casino. Same odds.

Or do you really think they just happen to want the one QB that happened to not be pegged to go 1-3?

I'll be relatively upset if we lose one or both of those picks to move up, just not that enamoured with any of the QBs to sacrifice the draft capital. If all 4 QBs go before we pick, we should get a damn good positional player.

They want Harrison jr. To move to #3 even if we could would be expensive. Our 1st this year and next, our 2nd this year plus whatever would be thrown in. But that's the meat and potato's of the trade. But we would have our QB. I'm not against it, we must address our need at QB or were staying a bottom feeder of the NFL. Just please don't miss on him. If it's possible I'd pull the trigger.
