A lot of signals are being thrown around right now, which if you’re Joe Schoen that makes you incredibly happy since no one knows who you actually want.

If they really want JJ McCarthy, they really are screwing it all up. Reminds me of the Devonta Smith year. Everyone knows we wanted him, including Philly.

I'd bet the Giants met with every QB and McCarthy will meet with every team that needs a QB. Doubtful this means anything...maybe wishful thinking on my part, I don't see it.

It is smokescreen season. They've been all over the place with what they're doing and saying. You know what, I love it. As a person that would highly prefer a QB and a trade up if necessary, I like the chaos right now. No one truly knows what the NYG is gonna do.

Well either they want JJ as their QB or they want the Vikings to think they want him as their QB.
It's like all those times in the past when we "got jumped" for the player we "really wanted". No one ever knows for sure what we want or what direction we will go. The Devonta Smith year is the one year that it seemed like we really got screwed considering they came back and drafted a WR at #20. All these other times it's just talk and assumptions.

But they're not going to have a meeting with him to that extent with dinner, tour of the facility, simply to throw a smokescreen to other teams.

There's really nothing they can do to hide a meeting with a player. Clearly other teams can't either. It's no secret the Giants need and want a QB and like JJ. But the Giants are in a prime draft position. The question is, will they do what it takes to secure McCarthy? The mistake with D. Smith was that Gettleman wasn't, and got caught sleeping.

Last year we had Hendon Hooker and Clayton Tune in for visits. Banks, Hyatt and Hawkins all came in as well. Fact is we have 30 visits a year and utilize to best help this team. If that's for due diligence on a potential pick, awesome. If that's to throw people off what we want...awesome. I do believe they are doing due diligence but my statement remains the same. They either want him or they want the Vikings to jump ahead of us for him.

Well, I keep hearing from multiple sites and people in the know, that they really like JJ. So hopefully it's to throw off they really like a different QB or a WR hoping he falls to them. I don't see us connected to Williams, Daniels or Maye or Penix much at all. Just JJ. So like I said, they are letting it be known one way or another and I'm hoping it's smoke, otherwise thr leak is still there.

I won't say Touched By the hand of God, but I keep seeing JJ everywhere. And before we poopoo it, Daniel Jones name started popping up about this time in 2019, being connected to the Giants. I was hoping and actually did think it was a smoke screen. Wish it was

This happens every year. I've posted several times on here the amount of times we were "linked" to a player only to skip him on draft day. Maybe they really do like JJ but don't want a QB at 6. I'm sure there's lots of players they really like.
Overall I'm not worried at all about it.

They’ll say anything they can to make people listen to them this time of year.

I agree, Maye and McCarthy are the only QB’s I’ve heard connected to the Giants. I don’t think that’s by accident. It was the same with Eli and Jones. The Chargers were able to skin the Giants based on that knowledge. This information just has a way of getting out there. Ironically, the Chargers are in position again to take us for a ride.

I think it might be speculation JJ is QB 4 and the Giants need one they sit at 6 which until the Vikings made their trade QB 4 would have probably been there at this point I think the Giants are gonna get a really good player at 6 if 4 QBs go in front of them. In that case as far as value goes they might get one of the top 2 or 3 players in this draft at 6.

They have so many picks already. Why not just take Harrison? They already have Round 1, Pick 4 Round 1, Pick 27 (from HOU) Round 2, Pick 35 Round 3, Pick 66 Round 3, Pick 71 (from TEN) Round 3, Pick 90 (from HOU) Round 4, Pick 104 Round 5, Pick 138 Round 5, Pick 162 (from HOU) Round 6, Pick 186 (from MIN) Round 7, Pick 226 (from NYG) meanwhile, the Chargers basically have 2 receivers and 3 on the roster. Why would they trade and lose out on better receivers? They may also miss out on the top lineman if they like b/c their pick is parked behind the Jets.

Cards go Harrison now the Giants likely go WR. Let’s say Nabers Titans I’d say OT yet they might go WR Falcons should go Ol yet they too on that turf could go WR Chicago goes WR Odunze Jets got OT or maybe Bowers Now the Chargers? They need a starter at WR being they only have 2 on the roster. Actually a 3rd body too quite a drop
