I think that some of the people wanting a receiver are sleeping on Wandale Robinson. If he ever gets a QB who can get him the ball consistently, he can break out for us in a big way.

Not looking for your prediction, what do you want them to do? What's the pick that would make you happy on draft night?
Odunze is a stud. Would love that guy on this team. Seems to have zero diva.
I want them to pick Rome Odunze.........and then find some was to get Michael Penix later. But it has to be the WR first. Right there with you. 60-70% of 1st rd QBs are busts, so unless you basically have the near pick of the litter you’re likely subject to that failure rate. Other position groups just have a wider range of acceptable outcomes, and I rather have a built out roster for a rookie to work with (Penix included). We just can’t have a swing and miss at 6 and QB is the worst pick if you’re looking for the highest probability of contribution.

I’m really excited about Robinson. But until Hyatt is more than a go route, that’s a thin group without Robinson. But your post got me thinking. Do they really go 2/3/1 on WR in 3 drafts? I’ve never really considered that. That’s my argument why they don’t go OT, the o line right now is 1/FA/2/FA/1. But the same argument applied to WR? Interesting.

I will take Odunze or Nabers if Maye or Daniels happen to fall I would be ok with that. The roster is still thin in some spots and needs depth prefer to get a blue chip game changer at 6 and keep our capital.

A QB A QB, qb?? really?? reely? hmm Surely you jest (and no I am not calling you by that name if I were to call you it would... .....nvmd). You do you where you are ya know. The land of msb make believe where Stockholm giant fans have been programmed by pernicious forces to lose and be happy about it (or pretend to like it). We can't have our team become relevant now can we? Another 5 - 7 years of mediocrity should do nicely. I mean by 2030 or so Jones might be good enough to throw a couple of TDs. But it doesn't matter cuz Arch Manning will become a FA by then and he could be picked up for a song. The good news is that instead of a medium pepsi ur getting a Dr Pepper at the stadium...

I would commend the balls to do it but there isn't an Eli Manning waiting as the 4th best option I don't think anyway. I want the QB but not another 4 years of we new he couldn't do this or that and wasted the 6th pick while Nabers and Odunze might be killing it for someone else.

At the end of the day we have been doing this exercise for year now no #1 outside threat, they gave up Barkley's 10 or so TDs a year when healthy. they need a double team worthy threat to allow Robinson to become even more of threat and Slayton along with Hyatt. If we have the right QB there Maye or Daniels I'm good, but if they have to trade up for them and give this draft away which is said to be 4 rounds strong and a 1 or 2 next year it would be a no for me this roster needs a couple more good drafts.

I can say this with confidence Caleb Williams is head and shoulder the best prospect as far as physical tools go's even he should sit for a year he was in a 1 read offense. Maye has some things to Iron out but has the physical traits in spades but would need time sitting. Same goes for Daniels he was playing football in college with 2 first round picks catching the ball for him and from what I'm reading doesn't have the greatest arm talent but his legs will buy the coach and GM some extra time, Daniels doesn't have a cannon some of the QB coaches are saying his arm strength not talent is Jones or less. If one of them gets to 6 I'm ok with it Just not good with multiple draft picks going out the window at this time if the roster was a little further along maybe Where the roster is I can't agree more they have a chance at getting as close to can't miss as there is, we are short on game changers it would be a shame to blow this chance. If they get a guy later and he over performs great if not you got a cheap back up instead wasting 5 and 6 mill per on the back up

It seems looking at the poll and comments there is a bunch of tunnel vision regarding WR prospects. The draft will provide game changers at the WR position well into the second round.
QB first followed by a talented WR in the second will have more punch than a WR in the first and a QB in the second. Highly unlikely there will be the amount of quarterback difference makers in the second round compared to the amount of wide receiver difference makers in the second round.
I will admit Michael Pratt from Tulane is a “potential” star in the third maybe even fourth.
Nabers showed questionable desire in his bowl game. Who is impressed with the fact that he caught three passes for a total of 27 yards? He did that against Wisconsin what a powerhouse! There are reports from different sources that aren’t hard to find that say Rome may have trouble getting separation at the next level. Marvin Harrison Jr looks like the closest to sure thing of the top 3.

Odunze is a stud. Would love that guy on this team. Seems to have zero diva.
Odunze said he turned down offers from Alabama and other top programs because he wanted to be part of an up and coming program and build something new. He was more interested in turning around a program rather than be part of one that's already winning every year. Thought it was a great answer, who knows if that was his real reason though. I think the NYG will pick Nabers if available though...based on prior picks I just think Schoen and Daboll value speed more...who knows though, Odunze seems to have an A+ attitude and skill to back it up.

The problem with that POV is that it brings desperation to draft a QB. That creates busts. I say let the other teams trade up for the 4th or 5th best QB prospect. There comes a time when you have to trust our FO to find QB talent a bit later in the draft.

I just responded to the comment that selecting the 4th or 5th best QB could end up being a wasted pick. If they can't figure out the QB position then the same could be said of selecting a WR. I think they are in a tough position for this draft and if I was making the decision my choice would be the QB I like or do my best to trade back. If stuck at the 6th slot I like oline over WR in this draft.

He's fantastic, as good as a route runner as there is, an easy separator and YAC demon. he will have a massive season if healthy next year, regardless of whos under center.

I wonder how much the Toney situation and other issues with players will play into this.
Draft night will be fun.

Daniel Jones misses deep open receivers on a consistent basis....wide open. Shell shocked or whatever...any WR will be of no use until they get the see all calm cool and collected QB, and OL...IOL until the right tackle becomes a leak...then the flood again and our useless 6 pick X. QB please...trade up and get em.

We are desperate.... and that desperate is called QB hell .... the 4th and 5th best QB's back in 2018 were Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. This is called trade up gambling, not drafting....you choose the talent and hope the brains follow the arm and the system allows for growth. I can guarantee 100% the Giants will be FAR more desperate next year, with less talent to choose from and more then likely a lot further away to dig themselves out of the hell...unless you want to go full desperation and give Prescott a blank check.

Impressed with the new culpa. Alot of people on here can’t. I think almost any QB with time (biggest issue) will give him a chance to scare the hell out of defences. His style of game has him susceptible to injury, a lot of players of his type stay healthy, I hope he can.

I can’t wait to hear the discussion next year about how many future first round picks we’ll have to give up just to step up to the plate for a QB, let alone take a swing at one, when this year we’re already at the plate.
Everyone pretty much acknowledges that at least half of all QB’s taken in the first round will be a bust so they don’t want the Giants to risk takin one with the 6th pick with a stud WR there and they don’t want the Giants to give up future picks to move up and get one.
In all probability we’ll be taking the exact same risk on drafting a QB next year but will have to give up much, much, much more. So when exactly do you guys plan on addressing the QB? Do you think we should just throw away valuable 2nd and 3d round picks on a QB that has less than a 5-10% chance of becoming a starter? Are you relying on finding the next Purdy, Romo or Brady?
I don’t understand the logic of not wanting to get a QB now because it’s a big risk but wanting to wait another year when that same risk will cost you that many more picks, and I guarantee you, this roster will still need a lot of work next year and we’ll want those picks.

We won 6 with garbage at QB. I think you can trot garbage out at QB and win more than 6 if the garbage isn’t running for their life. It’s not skipping a QB, it’s making sure you don’t pick another Neal, and the probability of that is just much higher picking a QB. I won’t be throwing anything if they pick a QB. Not at all. I’ll just be crossing my fingers that they’ve got it right this time. They got it wrong with DJ. I get making a mistake. It’s going to happen. You can make 2 at QB. Just get it right. QB. WR. Right…like we’re a Kenny Golladay type WR away from making Daniel Jones a live armed master of defensive dissection. I would take another trenchman on the offensive side before a wr….tight ends and slot receivers are more help to a check down QB vs some fantasy X receiver.
