I'm going to be looking at OL tape. I will add players as I go through some games
Cody Ford (OK) - RT.
I really liked what I saw from this kid. He seals off blocks well and although he is being projected as a Guard, I see enough lateral quickness for him to play the outside. He blocks through the whistle and shows and ability to sink his hips and dig in against a bull rush. Good balance, he stays on his feet in the trenches. Good balance
Far from a sleeper but you don't hear his name mentioned much unless u watch Sooner games.
He seems athletic as he is able to pull from the outside which a guy like Flowers could not do without tripping over his own feet.

Michael Deiter (LT) - Wisconsin
He looks like a guard to me. Much better in the run game but sufficient in pass protection. This game is from last year so I assume he has gotten better and stronger. He uses his hands to engage defenders and he stays with hiss blocks. I like guys that look for someone to hit. He didn't give up any pressure from his side against Ohio State and they had Bosa going against him a few times. He even tossed Bosa on one play around the 4:20 mark. He has played Center as well so I like the versatility.

Nice thread, as Giants fans this should be pinned ...lol - Giants should be be draft heavy this year on offensive line. Deiter is going to be drafted as a guard, no doubt. Mock draft you posted up has him available in the 4th as of now, but that will change as we get closer to the draft. He's another 2nd round, possible late 1st as of what I see vs. what teams reach for each draft. Agree with Ford...many scouts project him as a guard as well. Wish we had a couple 3 round picks like last year....would like to see the Giants move up this year and snag some hanging OL fruit in the third...gonna be a few good apples. Another good center/guard...versatile lineman. Elgton Jenkins www.draftblaster.com/2018-nfl-draft/2019-nfl-draft/elgton-jenkins-c-mississippi-state/

He would be a good option .

Thanks for adding updates. I'd love to hear other peoples perspectives on prospects. How come no one talks about the OL MISS (LT), Little? I didn't like his tape the first time I watched it..
We need a Notre Dame Guard...and Alex Bars is looking like a very stout guard. He does not give up much position in pass blocking but he seems a bit slow to be effective in run blocking out in space. Once he gets to the second level he tends to lose steam and just watch plays.
He's a bit of a thumper and needs to use his hands more consistently to control the defenders longer. I see him disengage blocks too quick some plays.
4:18 mark. Watch him come back to help the LT. Then the very next play he pulls from the Guard position and takes out two defenders for the score.
6'6 - 312, probably could play OT on the right side in a pinch.

Greg Little. #74
Big strong guy with some correctable technique issues. He actually has a kick step which I don't see from a lot of College OT's. WHen he gets hands on a guy, he doesn't disengage. You can see he has functional strength. He is also very fast out of his stance which is what you want from your LT. Watch how quick he gets his hands up and legs moving after the snap. Wheeler and Flowers get beat by quickness off the snap.
11:10 mark - These guys always go for the spin move.
I think he is a solid OL who is only 21 years old. Is he a top 10 pick? I'll know after the bowl games and combine.

Sorry to rant, but the delay of game, missing a open receiver for the 2 and the silly pick has me say to myself, a rookie QB can make those same mistakes. We're officially out of the playoffs (chuckling as I say that)...why in the hell are we not seeing what road rage Kyle has? Meh....the politics of football is assinine. Anyway....back to topic, Ross Pierschbacher from Alabama is another player who is not talked about much, but he's going to be a starter in the NFL for 10 plus years. Ah, who are we kidding. Draft the entire Badgers offensive line, immediate upgrade from ours, and in 2 years, we will have three pro bowlers.

Greg Little is potentially Flowers part deux..... That is what worries me. I think he will wow people at the combine. If he is coachable, he will do fine

I found my diamond in the ruff:
Darryl Williams playing LG for Miss State. Look at him vs a stout DL for Alabama in 2017 (He had an extra year to improve)
Now notice that he is going up against Da'Ron Payne who was drafted #13 in 2017. he is manhandling the guy.
:29 second mark - Kinda slow in his pull but look how he finishes with the pancake.
45 second mark - He is aggressive and blocks through the whistle. he has Payne looking at him like WTF???? That is what the heck i look for. I look at film against premium competition to see how they really perform. Anybody can go beat up on Rutgers players..etc.....He beat up on a first rounder.
1 min mark. Stands Payne up at the LOS. look at him sink those hips and dig in. Can't move him in pass protection.
1:28 mark - This play and the following play. I hate to see guy reach out for the defender and miss. he has to improve that. He also looks like he gets gassed by the 2nd level. I anticipate a very slow 40 time. considering that he's only 6'2, 310 pounds, I expect better movement and athleticism.
1:42 mark - He gets Payne out the way. This guy will improve our run game especially if we can't retain Jamon Brown.
I could keep going and I will watch him against lesser competition but this guy right here is projected in the 3rd or 4th round.....I would run to the podium to get him in the 3rd if we have a pick. If not, I would trade up for him. MARK MY WORDS, THIS IS GOING TO BE A GREAT OL...

Something else I love. He keeps his head on a swivel in the pass game and he's ALWAYS looking for someone to hit.
17 second mark. He's alert enough to recover a strip sack on the other side of the field.
Look how he seals off blockers in the run game.
Yeah...That is my guy in the mid rounds......

Ive watched the videos, and I gotta say, I LOVE how he always looks for the next guy to hit. Thats something I always look for in OL.... Im gonna have to do some more research on this guy, but so far Im not sure if i like what i see. He gets pushed back with seemingly no effort, then looks awesome the next on pass plays. He looks WAY too slow to block in the open field, yet otherwise he looks pretty damned good in the run game
Im still on the fence with how I feel about him..... Id take Chris Lindstrom from Boston College over him as my mid-late round guard

Look at the insane pick-up on the stunt at 1;00, and thats against a Clemson DL thats PACKED with future nfl talent
How this guy is getting mocked so low is a huge mystery to me, his hand usage is absurd he punches, resets, punches, resets, punches freakin VIOLENT hands. Always looking for the next guy to beat up, and playing to the whistle ever play. He's an anchor in the pass game, an active fighter in the run game, this is a guy I would LOOOOVE to take later in the draft, even if we keep Jamon Brown

Kaleb McGary - RT Washington.
1:27 mark...He moves pretty well in the run game. He also moves well side to side and seems to be able to handle the speed rushers. He also looks pretty strong at the point of attack.
Scouts say he excels in the run game and needs work in the pass game.
1:42 mark. He bit hard on a move by the DE and got beat badly. He didn't recover well at all.
1:50 mark: Look at that pull. He can move!!
1:58 - Waiting for the DE to engage instead of being more aggressive. I can tell that even though he moves fast, it's really straight line speed. He falls victim to defenders in open space who can easily avoid him.
He probably kicks inside to RG at the next level. He's a guy to look at in later rounds for depth

I wouldn't mind going center this draft and tackle next one.

I'm not a huge fan of Ford. He stands so upright. Seems like he could have leverage issues in NFL.
I like Deiter.
Not a fan of Little...seems soft and off balance.
I haven't looked deeply into the oline yet.
I'm curious what the Giants think of Wheeler?? I feel like they'll sign Brown...and if they don't mind Wheeler...I wonder if they look oline?

Ford is good, I like Edwards from Wisconsin

Personally, i dont think that THEY think Wheeler is the answer. We could throw money at 26yr ol Darryl Williams from Carolina wno was a DG draft pick, or Rob Havenstein from the Rams, both would be HUGE upgrades. If not, and Wheeler hits the gym and maybe a pro camp like Bently's he could step his gsme up. Thay being said, i wouldnt lose any sleep if we draft Jonah from Bama.... Id like to re-sign Brown, he's young and changed the OL from day 1. If we DONT, Im a BIG FAN of Chris Lindstrom from BC or even Michael Jordan from Ohio St

Derwin Gray - OT - Maryland
I started watching this guys tape after seeing him mocked to us in the fourth. He does a good job ceiling off blocker and he was playing against a lean speed rusher. He shows a good fundamental kick step during a few snaps. He moves pretty good at the first level but he looks less mobile down field.
I didn't see him get flat out beat on many plays and he seems to have good strength. He's playing against a very good OS team and they ran the ball well. That Maryland RB McFarland opened my eyes.
I do see some plays where a player slips his blocks because he doesn't use his hands to make contact consistently. Way too much body blocking where players slip off his blocks easily.
He looks stronger than Wheeler, certainly a bigger body. He is being projected as a guard so he has good value backing up multiple positions.

Bobby Evans (LT) - Oklahoma
He doesn't seem quick enough to play LT at the next level. He has a very strong base and you don't see him giving up much ground. He seals off DL in the run game and maintains his balance. I have a bit of a concern over his ability to bend and I could see speed rushers cutting inside on him and him not being able to reset his feet fast enough. He has good awareness and is able to pick up stunts and blitzes. That is something that I now key in on for linemen.
NJ.com mocked him to us in the 2nd round early in the season. Their scouting report:
