with or without Bosa every locker will have various political opinions, affiliations, and ideologies.
A vote on this board wont stop this.

That's why I suggest a separate "political thread/ section". Not even in the "Thee Thread" ,just mark it Politics and walk away................... There arent enough political forums on the net? Peeps here are divided enough about Eli, please just let the mods filter the political BS out. Just MO. Agreed. Otherwise we can end up with a thread filled with lawyers, guns and money. :-)

agreed, there is plenty to argue about without politics (Eli, Saquon vs Darnold, DG sux, DG is god, etc)

Bosa's got the talent, but I'd have some issues with the Giants drafting him after the drama the Chargers went through when they drafted his brother and his mother wishing he'd 'pull an 'Eli' during his contract dispute. Throw in the tweets he suddenly deleted and that's another potential red flag in a big market like N.Y.

If he truly had conviction, he’d leave the tweets up but since he deleted them, he’s showing he only thinks about himself and doesn’t care how his actions affect others. That’s not a good teammate or person in my opinion and hope the Giants pass on him

Workplaces in general are becoming more and more diverse with each person bringing in their own set of circumstances and beliefs. If a person can't get on board with that, they will simply be left behind. As far as Nick is concerned, I am sure that the teams have talked to his coaches and former teammates about him. If he does fall in the draft, you know why.

He caught heat for the tweets and at least showed some maturity and discipline by taking them down as not to upset the delicate minded and PC police. Whether he left them or deleted them, he still gets criticized so either way it remains a sad state of affairs.

Unfortunately, Twitter is in ink and things that are said a decade ago are held against you. He isn't the first or the last person that will have distant past social media content held against them.

I do not like it when any athlete injects politics in sports. So I do not like his old tweets. However, maybe I am not seeing them all, but what exactly did he say that was racist? Called Kap a clown. Does not like Beyonce's music. Did not like the Black Panther movie. Supports the current president. The threshold for being a racist is very low it seems. As one person recently said to me in a twist of irony, "Of course you are a racist, all of you white people are racist."

I deleted the political posts as well as any post that copied the post in as a quoted reply. While not strictly prohibited we do ask that political talk be kept out of the football sections. Thanks. That's why I suggest a separate "political thread/ section". Not even in the "Thee Thread" ,just mark it Politics and walk away................... Or people can just act like adults and if they aren't interested in a topic, they don't read it or participate. Life doesn't come with training wheels, nobody should have to protect someone else from reading something they wish to not read.

Political boards are generally a useless place to discuss them because everyone on a particular board agrees with the same basic ideas. Here we are all linked with our love for the Giants and should be able to discuss our views without rancor. Sarcasm is fine, but not rancor. Unfortunately some cannot handle having their views challenged. Not sure why so many need to be silenced for the childishness of a few.

I have asked a couple times now what post was racist, and nobody has answered . I assumed it was some tweet I havent seen because I tried to look into his past. Am I missing something? Accusing someone of racism without backing it up is pretty despicable. It is time to back up your statement please.
I have looked what what tweets I could find. I Didnt see racism. I looked at reports of his time at Ohio state, his teammates had nothing bad to say about him. In fact, reports were that he was quite popular on his team.

I didn't post this thread to change your mind. I guess it's just a coincidence he hates the things that black people are successful in and supports an openly racist and bigoted president. He only "toned" it down because SF might draft him. Black Panther is one of the most successful and top Marvel movies ever made. Of course he's entitled to his opinion, but I don't think there's a single person who has made that statement. Marvel has put out some pretty garbage material in the past that he could have easily chosen from. I would pass on him and potentially trade back if by some miraculous reason he's still there at 6.

If he's there at 6 it would benefit the Giants greatly to trade back and let someone else deal with the nonsense that awaits. Hmmmm....openly racist and bigoted president. You will have to show some support for that, in context. Just because people repeat something enough doesn't make it accurate. I didn't see Black Panther yet because I heard from multiple sources that it wasn't very good. Still plan on seeing it at some point but it isn't a priority. Saying there isn't a single person making that statement is either a deliberate untruth or you don't pay much attention. You are correct, the media is pretty horrible and will pull any thread if they think it will get views. Facts and reality be damned. It might turn into a hostile environment for the kid and hinder his success because of it. What I think people are wondering is how can supporting the current president (something we should all do regardless of whether or not we like the person holding the office), disliking a superhero movie or Beyonce's music make a person racist? To me, it sounds like a ridiculously stupid assertion and says much more about the person making it than the one they are accusing. Which is pretty par for the course in the media these days.

I didn't post this thread to change your mind. I am not asking you to change my mind. I am asking you to back up your assertion that Bosa is racist. Again, I think his tweets were dumb, I do not agree with a lot of his political opinions either. But that has nothing to do with this. What did he say that was racist? It is a simple question to an extraordinary claim. You STILL have not answered the question.
Is it your assertion that his not liking the Black Panther movie made him racist? That is literally the only tweet of his you have referenced. Did you see his tweet about not liking Pulp Fiction too? Again his Teammates in at Ohio State, most of whom are black, liked him so much they elected him as 1 of the captains of the team.

Unfortunately, it has become too easy these days to accuse someone who disagrees with you of racism. It dumbs down the word and makes the actual racists more powerful. Why so many people want to give such power to racists and identity politicians such power of influence is beyond me.

I'm not going to turn this into a political thread you can google Trump's view on Mexicans and get all the info you need. That's just a tip of the iceberg with him. One thing Bosa gets is people will lose respect for you if you support this president.

In a sports. ll That's a possibility and Bosa is doing an efficient job in trying to control some of the damage by deleting his tweets. It'll be interesting to see if the Cards draft Murray and then see if SF has the guts to pull the trigger and draft him.

In a sports. ll It wouldn't surprise me either, but that really isn't the point. People are making vile accusations of the kid with no evidence other than his preference in entertainment. I've seen people be accused of being racist because they like hockey but not basketball, it is so beyond stupid I don't even have words to describe it. The OP made a pretty vile accusation and he has no support for it. If it goes like these things usually go, he will start accusing those who are asking him to support his claim, of the same racism.

Just stop with your BS. Called CP a clown= why? Because he's bringing attention to inequality...I don't want to get into that because that's another topic. Beyonce's music is trash.- She's probably the most successful black female musician of our time. Black Panther, CP and Beyonce.....yeah coincidence.

I have looked into these claims of racism by the president and haven't found any as each supposed instance is out of context conflation of different things. I suggest you look into it. I am no fan of this president and I can't stand identity politics in any of its forms. I think he is a buffoon and a shit poster given power, but I don't think he is racist. That said, for the sake of everyone in this country I hope he has a good and successful presidency because that is good for all of us. Calling him a racist does not have any evidence to support it other than the same people repeating it enough times to make everyone think it is true. You say you don't want to make it political, but then you drop these comments without support and when challenged you run away from the comment.

Beyonce's music is trash.- She's probably the most successful black female musician of our time. Black Panther, CP and Beyonce.....yeah coincidence. It seems that the person reading between the lines to draw conclusions from that is showing quite a bit more of his/her own bias than Bosa is doing. So, lets say another Ohio state player says he supports the current president, hated the Black Panther movie, thinks Beyonce's music is trash and thinks CK is a clown; and it is Dwayne Haskins. So based on your comments he is a racist as well I guess? If he isn't, wouldn't that be racist of you to exonerate him of the same crimes due to the color of his skin? So, switch the players, and it is Haskins making the same tweets; are you making the same accusation of racism towards him?
