Like Eli is built like Cam, right? was thinking Zeus that photo of Eli on the beach with his daughters pail is priceless. He looks about as un-athletic as is possible, cracks me up to this day. imgur.com/gallery/cUhwU

OK....these guys have top trainers, nutritionists, and programs suited for their bodies, game, and position. No body has to worry about Laulleta's work out regime. Bulking up just for the sake of size is ridiculous for a QB. Its all about technique, strength and flexibility. Besides holding a clip board and running the scout team is not all that strenuous....lol Exactly, If trainers thought it was good for QB to pack on mussel. They all would be muscular. ha ha......

No one said he has to "bulk up", which is gives off the impression that he has to look like The Hulk. He just needs to add some muscle to his frame as it looks like there is plenty of room for it. He will still maintain a lean build and will stay maintain his agility. Also, I played D1 college baseball and the pitchers were in the weight room with us every day. Don't know what you're talking about. They just avoid the flat bench press to prevent shoulder issues. They're still lifting a ton of weight in other exercises. I don't agree Brady Rodgers Brees all are not muscular at all . Randall Cunningham was skinny as a rale and was very good. Weights can cause problems. Noah Syndergaard tore a lat last season while pitching . Weight lifting was directly responsible for the injury. What was explained by the a orthopedic specialist Mike Francesa had on. What he said was, when you weight train your muscles get accustomed to those exercises and motions. Then when asked to throw . It is a completely different motion and force placed upon mussels . Sometimes the muscles used in that new morion do not like it and tare. That's what he basically said. It is not just shoulders and arms in throwing. It is your whole body that is involved in the act. Brees is ripped. He's not "big", but he also is only 6'0. He is absolutely muscular though. Brady and Rodgers also have way more durable and mature looking bodies than Lauletta, as do Eli and Webb. Lauletta is just undersized and has room to develop his frame. That's all I'm saying. He doesn't need to get jacked, but he does need to build some muscle if he wants to have a sustainable career as a QB who plays a lot. Pitchers lift weights. One example of a pitcher getting an injury is not that relevant. Also, all Mets players get injured lol. It's more about the training staff than anything else. Do you think Syndegaard got to where he is today by never lifting weights? Do you think Syndegaard would be where he is today having never lifted weights?

6-2 and 220 is not "light" Isn’t this kid about the same size as Garrapolo? The latest $125mm man and not a first round pick. I’m not saying they’re interchangeable and Manning isn’t likely to go to ownership and demand Lauletta be run out of town, and yet somehow I think that if they switched teams, the Giants would still not be a lock for the playoffs and the 49ers would still be a team on the rise. Funny that.

They said the same about Tom Brady in the draft (needed to put on muscle), etc. and now he may play til he is 45. He's got a somewhat flabby body like Eli and they are the most durable QBs. Lauletta is bigger than another durable QB, Drew Brees. I don't think adding muscle would make much difference, what he is is what he is.

Lauletta is bigger than Brees because Brees is 6'0. Pound for pound Brees is definitely stronger and has a much more durable and mature physique

And I hear you on Brees, but if you look at all of the young QBs (Mayfield, Darnold, Josh Allen, Webb, Wentz, Watson, etc) in the NFL, they all have more mature looking physiques as well.

Pitchers are born with that structure in their arm that allows them to throw in the mid to high 90s. Mechanics and talent are groomed If it was weight lifting that allowed velocity. Everyone would be able to do it. Randy Johnson was a bean pole and could stay in the upper 90s. So your point of contention is debatable . I get the point you are trying to make. I just think it is not valid .

There's plenty of short guys who throw gas and plenty of 6'6 thumbers who sit mid 80s.

I am saying weight lifting that is not part a free range of motion regiment can cause more harm than good for throwers (Pitchers QBs) .One of the side effects or Weight training is flexibility loss. The point some are making.

You lose flexibility when you enter a gym and only do bench press, curls, and squats. Professional athletes are doing dynamic workouts that involve all sorts of different exercises that you don't see in an everyday gym.

Show that I am wrong . Name a bulked QB? show one. Brady is not Eli is not Ben is not Rivers in not Luck is not Stafford is not Marino was not Montana was not Peyton was not Favre was not . Steve Young was not. Who is or was? If it was a good move for a QB to bulk up with weights . They would.

Cam is really big and why you think Ben isn't is crazy...
I know a few years ago Eli lifted and bulked up some using pitcher's exercises..
Feel free to post any articles proving this theory of yours because it's incorrect..
BTW.. When I met Montana he was pretty big in the upper body which was funny because his legs weren't making him look like a chicken...
How many of these guys have you actually met in person without a uniform on???

You can think what you want . Qbs do not use Weights to put mass on. They will us them for as a regimen for strength a condition . If players are always looking for an edge and as you suggest QBs bulk up with weights. Why are there no QBs that look like Bodybuilders. Just because you met this QB or that one .Does not mean he pumped iron to bulk up. You tell me to put up articles , Where ar yours? Here is one for you .It is more about strength and condition with weights . Not bulking up. www.livestrong.com/article/489266-how-does-weightlifting-affect-how-far-you-throw-a-football/Not one Qb in this article is using weights as a bodybuilder would. The use them as a supplement to throwing for strength and condition.

LOL.. No where do I see that today QBs can't bulk up other then to watch their throwing motion... No kidding... What about the core and legs??? To me those are very important and can certainly add bulk... Your articles didn't change a thing...

Not one Qb in this article is using weights as a bodybuilder would. I guess the only place you can take your argument is going extreme by using body builders to match your agenda.. Why would they have to bulk up like body builders??? I don't see anyone suggesting that.. I do feel some added strength and size in certain areas being a plus.. I've put on 10 pounds in a few years of weight training and no way would I consider myself a body builder.. You must be a joy to be around in discussions like these since you like to go to extremes to counter others opinions... LOL

strength does = bulk in this case
Core strength, flexibility, mechanics, techniques, have zero to do with "added muscle weight or bulk"....
I am sure KL is getting all he needs as far as training is concerned.

I'll save you time - you won't find one. Stop acting like we said he has to look like the Hulk. He just needs to develop his body with an NFL training regimen. Right now, he looks like a boy among men. I believe he can get there. No other QB that is having success in today's NFL looks like that.

Garrapolo is much more built than Lauletta. I don't know how to embed images here but go to google images and you will see. He has broad shoulders and a well developed frame. Essentially same height and weight. I’ve looked at the pictures, I don’t see much difference at all.
