Where is all this nincompoople that he is a guarrd coming from? Short arms and the knock on him is he has a poor punch (pretty much the opposite of Thomas and Becton). The thought is since his biggest struggles come from missing his punch that if he is playing OG he won't have to deal with a moving target as much which would maximize his skills.
All depends on the team he ends up on.
I'm going to wait for the combines on that short arm as I have heard the opposite

I'm going to wait for the combines on that short arm as I have heard the opposite Pretty much 100% agree This is the first time I have heard small arms,in fact people.were marveling about him breaking Sherff's strength records with prototypical OT length arms(many of these workout warriors on the bench press are guards because they have short arms and have less distance to travel...one reason even in the shape I'm in I cant do big numbers on the bench press is my gorilla length arms) Want to hear something scary He got on my radar in 2018 when he was running step for step with Noah Fant(the faster of the 2 Iowa TEs)on a TE screen that went house... An OT with that kind of speed... I wouldn't be shocked if he puts up a sub 4.75 or even sub 4.7 ...unheard of for a o lineman.... Which has me thinking He declared eligible on a 3rd and 1 midfield... Play action.... Wirfs wide open deep seam..... Wait...we are the Giants...

Tell you what there are some really good tackle prospects in this draft everyone I read about got me wanting a tackle and it is getting to be any of them. Jeremiah and zierlein Painted a pretty compelling story for Becton length strength feet like a TE and long clubs for arms just to get around and through his defenses is gonna be a nightmare. We better come out of here with one of the 4 and hopefully it's the one that were all still talking about crushing people 10 years from now.

Becton questions can be answered with a buffet table in the interview room...not fat shaming here, but the one knock on Becton is weight control. A box of crispy creme snacks and a "hungry" question in that room can be more useful then the 225 reps... He's going to a must watch at the combines

He's going to a must watch at the combines What would scare me is he has things that can't be taught and physical tools you don't see often. Is he lazy because he is bigger stronger faster then everyone. There is no knock on him for that but that seems to be consensus on Flowers he won with his strength and believe it or not athleticism in college. His technique was in question hands feet and head. It still shows up while he is at guard on the 2 giants game tape he looked lost several time reaching and off balance with outside hand placement. can a guy with the gifts that Becton has fall victim to that. they better watch his tape knee bend and hand placement Where his head is up or down feet. If he can move at 370 and bend his knees and mirror I'll by him the crispy creams.

I'm going to wait for the combines on that short arm as I have heard the opposite I agree. I have never touched his arms personally lol. Honestly I don't care if his arms are short or not. If he can play OT I am all for it.

Aris is right about Becton though the one knock being his weight control. If he can control that I think he could be the best in this class. Very good feet, agile and a Mike Tyson punch.

More like a Larry Holmes Jab long and could knock people out with it. As I said if he can have good knee bend and mirror at 370 or 380 I'll buy him the crispy creams lol.

Him and Thomas are seriously impressive when they get their mitts on people it's game over.

I was there for a couple fights, what great guy he was nasty in the ring. My dad was a fighter and didn't go pro because he signed up to kick Hitlers ass lol we watched as much boxing as football in our house.

I try to watch with my son now but the sport took a nose dive although I love watching Lomachenko fight. He does it all well.

Last nights was a pure fun title fight...the Irish Gypsy King singing American Pie at the end of that fight was surreal...especially after the brutal beating he gave out to Wilder. Catch a beating with a ruptured ear drum gushing blood, and busted jaw...then on the way out of the arena, hear the guy who beat your ass singing he is sad, the day the music died....in tune. Savage. Guys 6'9 and 270 pounds should not be able to move so well. Not sure why they put these title fights on at 1-3 am...but this one was worth the nappy Sunday.

I can see a fighter like tyson when cus and rooney were training him blowing his body up have the big fella pissing blood for a month. Think Wilder was bewildered to be looking up at his opponent Fury got into his head the last fight when he got up from that knock down.

As far as these guys go a lot of people are on the thomas train because he was the man at the end of the college season, Now that they have had time to go over a lot of tape other guys are climbing just how it goes they are getting dissected now some reports have Thomas having some balance issues spending a little to much time on ground.
