Hahaha......love it.....PFFFFFTTTT....the biggest joke outlet on the planet.....I mean what more proof do you need that these guys are absolutely clueless.
My favorite take from last season was when they thrashed Daniel Jones AFTER the second Washington game......let me repeat that they bashed Daniel Jones AFTER going 28 for 42 for 352 Yards, 5 TD's and 0 INT's....you want to pick him apart in other games by all means have at it.....but after that game?!?!?!? Please stop feeding these clowns.

I believe it is very possible as I’ve been saying for weeks. Jeudy paired with Slayton and Barkley is a trifecta. I’m still on the fence about Jeudy in the first and Cesar Ruiz in the second or Thomas/Wills in the first and Reagor in the second.
The.discontent with the predicted Jeudy pick at #4 is entertaining to read. If he becomes a Giant you whiners will cream your pants when you see what he brings to the table.
I know we need a tackle but Ruiz would man the middle for years. We haven’t had a great center in forever.
Maybe we snag a sleeper tackle in the 4th round or free agency.
As of now I like Jeudy at #4 prediction.
My crystal ball mock comes after the combine.

I don't see how we can take this guy in the first round, and still get the personnel needed to get the O-line sorted out. The opposing pass rush isn't going to care one bit about who we have to stretch the field, if they can still get to a young QB who may not have his ball securement issues behind him.

It doesn’t take PFF to point out the possibility of us taking Jeudy at 4. Whether fans like it or not.

If we go 100% BPA, Jeudy could be it.
Kid is a freak athletically. They say if Amari Cooper and Julio Jones had a kid, it would be Jeudy.

I mean, I wouldn't go crazy if they went with Jeudy. It's not like they're going to fix all their problems with one draft anyway.

Jeudy (Judy..Judy...) is one of those luxury type picks teams like uhhh... KC... or ... NO gets they already have the meat and potatoes...Or...in other words (there are always those) ....

Armchair GM's ASSEMBLE!!! Just kidding. Seriously though, the Giants have so many issues right now that everything outside of RB and QB are on the table in regards to who they acquire at the draft with their first rounder. I know these boards or any Giants boards for that matter will explode with complaints regardless of who they pick. One thing for sure is that the GM has a lot riding on this draft and FA. He should be out of a job if the Giants aren't at least relevant this upcoming season.

I am sure that people on here would be screaming their praises if they had us drafting an olineman since that seems to be the thing that fans on here want the most.

a running back is more likely to put a team on his back then a wide receiver, give me Saquon over any of the top receivers in the league. Just give the man an oline. Judging by the contracts that are given out to top players at each position. Its not really close to see what the league values. What round was KC's RB drafted in? or how about our RB's in 2007/2011? food for thought. Having tons of $ invested into the RB position is not something that SB winning teams typically have. yeah people say the same shit about wrs and im sick of these arguments to be honest i just dont agree.

Is Jeudy better than OBJ? Even if he is, where did Odell get us? Without the OL/Defense, nothing else is going to produce wins.
I used to love the big flashy playmakers, but after almost a decade of losing, I think it's time to reload the trenches.

I can be totally wrong but I see no possible way that this happens. Gettleman came in and specifically pointed out the offensive line was a problem. We are in year three and not only is it not fixed but he hasnt put nearly any draft capital into the line outside of Will Hernandez. 2019 only Big George was selected in the 7th, if you even count that. IMO #4 (assuming we dont trade it) is OT or defense. This team went into hell because of Reese drafting from the outside in. I cant see DG making that same mistake. You're probably right, but yet Gettleman had the chance to trade down for picks or take an OL and he chose a dynamic offensive play maker at #2 with Saquon. So is it likely Jeudy is picked? No..but is it possible? Yes, and I think a better chance than people think.

You never know... nor should we when determining who the Giants really do draft
I think we need to wait and see what the Giants do in FA with the DL and OL
Then we can all confidently speculate?

Unlike real football, in hypothetical football more means better. Having an unbelievable amount of data doesn't mean better decisions but hypothetically it does. So use important and meaningless words like draft capital because that means ideal. An example of 1st round draft capital is a high quality impact player that is accretive to your team for years. Examples of actual 1st round picks would be Eli Apple. See how much better it sounded the first way?

Im sure if he's been touched by god he will be the pick. Far and away the best receiver in this year's class. I wouldn't hate it. We need a OT first and foremost, this is a talented class that DG's predecessor never saw. If you dont take one you move down, simple stuff. OL is hypothesized to be DG's expertise so lets see what he's all about. Disagree. Line was ranked 16th or so last season. Defense at the bottom. Pass rush and a complete lb with coverage skills, plus a corner the bigger needs. Yes , thank you ! The defense has to be the priority. We can take 3 of the best lineman in the draft and we will still lose because we can’t stop anyone

Gettleman wants to handle "need" in Free Agency and draft the best player available. So what top-10 BPA will be left when the Giants pick? That is probably what we'll see. I would be pleased with super-athlete linebacker Isiah Simmons if Chase Young is gone. It's the defense that needs some play-makers to pull it above the swamp. I say draft the hard-to-replicate talent just like they did with Barkley. I'm excited to see Ryan Connolly healthy this season. In the meantime I'll keep watching old LT highlight videos.

Let me make clear that WR would be a terrible value pick as well. Dave's drafted more WR in the first round two rounds than OL.. period, his last time being when he selected the great Kelvin Benjamin back when we took OBJ. I dont agree with this logic. Teams investing a massive $ in running backs are also not winning the superbowls, just look at the precedence. Gurley, Elliot and soon..... Saquon will force a massive chunk of the cap space to be dedicated, as you mentioned, for player that needs his OL to play well. Not a wise allocation of resources. Nor is a receiver. The fact is: you get the OL, the skill positions more or less be plugs. Though to me a WR that can dictate a team secondary coverages is more valuable than a RB or TE. Lets hope Dave does what he preaches. This draft has excellent OT's in a league that is devoid at talent; get one

they make good points about rookie LT’s... Expecting Andrew Thomas to solve our problems at LT this year is not realistic. As unfortunate as it may seem, Solder is our LT in 2020. What we need is a RT who can eventually replace Solder in 2021 or 2022. Can Thomas play RT? If so, he'd be a good candidate.

Folks need to understand every position outside of QB and RB is in play at #4. This includes WR (Jeudy) and DT (Brown).
We can solidify many areas of need this FA period. We can solidify our OL, we can solidify our Secondary, we can solidify our pass rush, or we can bolster multiple units by adding players at different positions. No matter how we decide to approach FA this year, we'll have far fewer holes going into the draft than we've had in recent memory.
Assuming our roster is properly bolstered in FA, drafting an electric playmaker to compliment our already productive group of weapons is one of many ideas that makes sense.

PFF is stuck in October 2019 with this take.
But, it fits DGs MO. So, I wouldn’t be floored if this happens. But, I’d be a little disappointed in the immediate aftermath.
Are we sure he is even the clear cut top WR in the draft?

Solder will be the left tackle and hopefully he’ll be focused on having a much better year. Adding Ruiz in the 2nd at C will improve our line - he is very solid in pass pro. We’ll see - it’s just my take.

I would hate Jeudy at 4.
In a trade back scenario, I could see it though. Suppose we trade back for the Raiders’ 12 and 19 picks ... all the OT’s, Simmons and Okudah would be gone and Jeudy could be the BPA

There is more then one way to build your team to get to the superbowl, you bring up gurley and zeke who make their teams contenders. RBs dictate how many people are in the box and if we learn how to use barkley in the passing game its a huge mismatch. Im pretty scared of picking rookie OTs but if there is a cant miss one then im all for it. Still think we should sign conklin and possibly draft a tackle as well. I do believe oline and dlines win championships but you also need playmakers, every superbowl team has playmakers how they get them, what position they play and how much they get paid is irrelevant to me.

Seems many are saying there are tackles in the early rounds that bring both pass and run blocking ability, and the number of ready to start receivers is deep. Our current tackles seem to not only perform below expectations, but have back issues also. I believe that after last season's defense heavy draft, and failure once again to secure the O-line - that there is little choice but to go line personnel heavy in this draft, maybe even trade back for more picks. Not sure what cap space will be left for decent FA linemen, seems much of it might go to defensive personnel already on the roster, maybe an additional pass rusher. A center who can not only handle pass pro, but also properly signal assignments, sounds great in the 2nd round.

Interesting thread. Good debate. I honestly did not think this pick was even a possibility at 4 but now I can see it would fit DGs history. All I can say is If NYG is going to consult with Judge and the staff then I will live with their selections. One thing is certain, the decisions made in the first two rounds will shape the direction of the team one way or another. When it comes to "shiny object" players, I think it is crucial to study and evaluate the intangibles. A huge target with good hands makes little sense if he ends up lazy once he has a few dollars(Benjamin). A dynamic team leader willing to put the team first and be all about winning can be worth the pick.
