OBJ was never able to take our offense to top shelf level, I thought OBJ was extremely talented and a game breaker type receiver but it just didn't happen for us while he was here.... That’s an apples and oranges comparison. OBJ didn’t have DJ throwing to him - he had over the hill Eli. The Oline should be significantly better this season (if the right moves are made) than it was with OBJ. And Jeudy is a talented got his act together hard working model teammate type. OBJ was a talented attention starved diva head case who was a ME guy not a WE guy. Jeudy would provide what we expected out of Beckham - stardom playing football not foolishness. He had a not over the hill #1 pick throwing to him last year. Worse results. Don't get me wrong, I love a great WR but they're just not that rare. The RB draft logic holds here and for all skill positions except QB, imo.

The only pick that would make me throw something is if we take a QB.

If Okudah was somehow on the board, I wouldn't be upset at all if we took him.

I feel like there's no way the Giants won't take either Wills, Wirfs, Thomas, Becton, or Simmons at 4. Just depends how they rank them on their board, but OT or LB are the only positions that make sense if you want value at the 4th pick.
If we take Derrick Brown I will be mad. Not because I don't think he will be a good player, but because DT is a position we have no need for right now.

I think not trading back before taking one of those Lineman would be kinda frustrating especially when it is not many teams looking for a Lineman in that top10
Flip Flop with the Chargers or the Panthers so they can get ahead of Miami and get their QB and it is very Likely that the TOP Lineman will still be on the Board easily while we recoup at least a 3rd Round Pick

Bucs? These teams are desperate for OT, and even the couple "just" outside of the top 10 will seriously be considering trade ups to get one of the big four...a HUGE need for many teams in the top. I would still like to trade back to Miami or the Chargers, but the Lions own that zone

Lol 3rd round graded guys with major warts left by 36. Gettleman will go somewhere else Which means we have to wait till next 60 picks for a developmental tafkle that might be a functional starter at RT in 2 years....

If this is the case, we'll have to bank on having a better coaching staff to hide some of the flaws through better schemes. Defense is really in the same boat, both units seemed to be so poorly coached last year, it's hard to judge to a point.

Id be willing to risk having a below average but improving defense than miss out and have hopes and prayers going forward with the O line as this is the most important year in a qbs development...who is already behind the 8 ball having to learn an entirely new system in year 2 with no contact with players and coaches till training camp.. Can't keep kicking this down the line

Jedrick Wills - Lacks functional strength, Low ceiling/upside, cannot play Left Tackle in the NFL Derrick Brown - assuming LW is resigned, don't need the position. Overrated prospect, plays with very high pad level. Mekhi Becton - High bust factor any WR any EDGE not named Chase Young Translation: I only see 4 acceptable picks, in order: 1) Thomas 2) Wirfs 3) Simmons 4) Okudah Thomas. Not equipped for the vertical passing game, on the ground too much for a top ot prospect. Wirfs. Workout warrior. See mike mamula and tony manderich. Haha Oops
