I’m done with trying to make sense out an organization that switches out 8 out the 53 players they initially decided were the 53. To me it suggests in large part that they were horrible during the off season at bringing in UDFAs and FAs that might be contributors.
I thought Jerrill Adams, Thomas and Okwara were contributors when given the chance. Can’t help but think that some of these changes were made for the sake of making change and some good football players are being caught up in that wake.
Bottom line is these new guys will be wearing Giants uniforms on their back and name tags on their front.
I just hope they’re right about these guys because in the last five years under Coughlin and McAdoo their season has been over in October way too many times.
They say a new broom sweeps clean. That’s been the case but it’s hard to ignore their blind spot for J Stewart and feel confidant about these guys.
Additionally it’s impossible to ignore the contradictions on the boards where guys use the FOs expertise in evaluating QB talent during the recent cut of Webb, yet the same people complain when they evaluate a QB draft class and complain about the same FO passing on the opportunity to draft one of them.
Do they know what they are doing or not? Can’t have it both ways.

It's not a very big confidence builder when they bring in 8 new players after the final cuts have been made..
I didn't care for their moves before this so why not continuing with it...
GO GIANTS!!

They passed on a QB to 'win now'. I want to win now. People need to keep in mind however that they did not inherit a 3-13 team. We were 3-13 because Reese ignored the Oline and then every WR on the roster except Shepard got injured. Getting Beckham back healthy and throwing caproom at the Oline was something any GM would have done. Beckham and Solder alone bring this offense much higher than it was for most of last year. And then we used # 2 overall which was inherited, not earned, on the luxury of a RB to try and support Eli rather than replace Eli. That selection was a win now line in the sand. So if we win they deserve credit as I wanted to scrap everything and build around a new foundation. They trust Eli so their eggs ARE in his basket. If the 2018 Giants fail this regime failed because there is no reason to think the 2019 Giants would be better than the 2018 Giants.

why try and figure it out when our information and knowledge of the plan and process is so limited .
Sit back, relax, and watch it unfold. If it turns into a dumpster fire then we can all piss and moan to our heart's delight.
If it turns out great we can say..."wholly crap." These guys knew what they were doing"..

Or, maybe the sky will open up and a torrential downpour will begin before he can get it lit. But - as of right now - it's not looking too good.

It's not the Giants fault that their best players had contracts with other teams.

Sometimes you don't need any fluid to ignite a fire. all you need is a little SPARK.....say like beating the Jags, and I don't even care if it's a cheap win.

I think most people should step back and be realistic this team has been bad for a long time and if there is any sign of them moving in the right direction that would be a complete turn from what we have been dealing with for 6 years, there is only one draft a year and only so much cap space can't do it all in one year, think they are trying like hell to be competitive through this time,as for the QB thing I believe they thought these guys coming out weren't worth the #2 pick in the draft they might be right we will know in 3-4 years, your right we should relax and enjoy it even if it's a baby step, and hope after a draft or 2 more we won't have to do this again, they will be signing there own using freeagncy to supplement the roster not build it, see what 200 mill in contracts got us last time.

Win now with no back-up QB... iffy secondary... questionable offensive line... tough to get it all done is one season arguably a rebuild.
The offense is going to be fun to watch...

What's even scarier is the lack of depth all over this roster. We all know injuries happen so you need at least serviceable back ups to either take over if the starter is IR'd or hold down the position until the starter makes it back. I have very little confidence is much of our depth.

All he has to do is be one of the main parts of a consistently winning team

I find it cute that some posters have schoolgirl crushes on bottom-of-the roster players on a 3-13 team.
This team has very little to no depth. The front office seems to be doing its best to improve that situation before the season starts (our kind of depth issues can’t be fixed in one off-season). I have zero issues with that.

Because they agree too +1 It is going to take a while to replace some of the depth we would have had after Reese had so many swings and misses in the later rounds of the draft. That is why the new regime signed all those players from off waivers...they can only work with the hand they've been dealt. Ca'nt expect everything to be fixed overnight.
