These guys have played 3 games together. What do you expect? The 1986 Giants? I think that so far Gates is doing a good job at C. Fleming and Thomas are having some problems. Thomas is a rookie and Fleming was signed to be a BU. Hernanadez is serviceable, Zietler too, only that. The main issue is these guys have to mature , get used to playing together and stop making the same mistakes that the coaching staff is telling them about. We have played 3 Veteran Defenses in 3 weeks. The Steelers( all the front 7 have played together for at least 5 years) The Bears( same thing) and the 9ers most are probowlers. So, Lets see what the new head Coach wants to do!

I personally cant wait to see Gates attempt to block Aaron Donald on Sunday. Joey, Hernandez, Gates, and Zeigler going against Arron Donald is going to get jones killed on Sunday. Donald can take his pick, what's the record for sacks by a DT in a game ? Tackles for losses ? If Donald wasn't already going to the HOF this game would have put him in there. I sure hope our OL practices the screen pass. This can be a life saver for our pass blocking.

Don't think so but some of our pass blocking sure looked like they were letting the defense through. Seriously though I think it would relieve some of the onslaught. On the NFL channel today said Jones has now played in 16 games a full season over 2 years. He has 27 giveaways, we gotta help this kid somehow.

I'm actually wondering if they feel this OL isnt capable of running them right now? Seems odd, because you could easily run a screen where if it didnt work properly, DJ could prolly break off a run off of it.

I think you right it's certainly worth trying, nothing is working for the offense at the very least it might stop some of these multi man blitzes.

This OL is an absolute abomination. Time to make some changes. Hernandez sucks. Let’s see Lemieux in that spot instead. Also, no purpose in playing a bad journeyman at RT in yet another lost season. Let’s see Peart. Time for accountability Our OL looks similar to this.

He is the worst on the line . ( The fans seem to be against that.) Sit Hernanadez. The poor guy has never had the same 2 next to him in consecutive seasons . Not good for a LG on his rookie contract. There is only one fix. The O-line in its current configuration needs to be schemed to the abilities of all 5. All making a change will accomplish is more guys that have not played next to each other. Now I will throw the monkey wrench into this whole discussion. How can Judge hold any credibility with his team , If he makes changes on the O-line and the worst of the 5 ( the rookie) is not one of them? He has publicy stated . It is not who but how they play will determine if they play or not. He does this and his words are worthless.

For every bad play he has many more good plays and will continue to do that. We have to continue to roll with the learning process like the other team that's starting rookie LT's. I'm not for making any changes on a line that's learning to play as a unit, but we could eventually get Peart in the game when he's ready. It's different for Fleming who wasn't signed to be a 16-game starter.

I actually suspect if/whek Gates starts to improve Hernandez will start to play like he did as a rookie and also Zeitler's play improves Its still 5 individuals playing as individuals Peart for Flemming maybe after the bye

It is what he has been saying about who will play and who will not. He cannot be credibal if he does not stick to his own standard. It is easy for fans to say he should stay in there and dismiss what the HC has been saying. The differance is the 53 do not care what fans say. They do with the coach. Why I think he will not make a change . He would have to gut the line. How do you know what Fleming was singed to be? Where did you get that infromation from? I was sure he was our RT when singed. I do agree with not making changes. The need time to play as a unit.

Of course he's going to rank near the bottom. Fans always try to use PFF rankings in a vacuum. Fleming was a swing tackle in Dallas. He was going to have the same role before Nate Solder opted out a few days before camp.

Bobby Hart being # 1 with 15 . Who was playing RT when Fleming was singed? But You are missing the point again. This change up the line is a Judge credibility on his word. It would be hard to justify keeping AT there as the LT if he wants to mantain the standard he spoke of. If he maks a change. But.... That does not change what I think. The line should stay intact . As you stated It has only been 3 games. I do believe at some point in his career Thomas will be an all pro, and at some point in the next few games this line is going to click.
