Drunk mock #1 R1 P11 OT Christian Darrisaw - Virginia Tech R2 P10 WR Rashod Bateman - Minnesota R3 P12 CB Jaycee Horn - South Carolina R4 P11 LB Hamilcar Rashed Jr. - Oregon State R6 P12 TE Nick Eubanks - Michigan R6 P17 RB Trey Sermon - Ohio State 1. Darrisaw would be a great pick at RT when Smith, Chase, Pitts, and Surtain were gone 2. Bateman is like the reincarnation of Hakeem Nicks, dude is all bout great crisp routes 3. NO WAY JC gets past the 2nd round 4. NO WAY HRJr drops this far 6. Receiving TE 6. Would have been more happy with this pick before injury. Regardless, dude is a human pinball machine, hit him and he still gains yds What exactly was Sermon's injury again? I want to say collarbone or shoulder injury... He left the game vs Bama and wound up in the hospital

I’m not as high on Bateman ... from what I have seen from watching him in occasional Big 10 games, he seems like just a big body guy without a lot of speed or explosion Hes not a burner by any means, but he does the other finer things like route running, quote well

The games I saw he had plenty of both... He had a bunch of nagging minor injuries this year and he did look a little sluggish (think it was against Northwest). The guy that fits the bill you described that a lot of people are high on is Sage Surratt.... What implicates these big guys many fall in love with as big bodied slugs is always HAVING to make contested catches because there are defensive backs all over them .. Alot of people, you mean me?? LMFAO Youre my draft prospect partner in crime and I love your insights on prospects, but I feel like THIS is the guy we disagree on the most. Now im not saying Surratt is a sure fire prospect or even that the is the best Surratt in the draft, but u think he could be a good outside guy. The worst thing he could have done was sit out 2020, and that's what he did. He has great hands, very good body control, nice route runner, and very physical. Unfortunately he is slow as molasses and won't get any YAC in the pros

By no means is he the end all, be all in terms of our WR needs

R1 P16 WR Jaylen Waddle - Alabama- Trading back and still getting Waddle is a scenario I would pounce on 100/100 times. Absolutely dynamic playmaker. Please get a new OC or at the very least a passing game coordinator to take advantage of new concepts for guys we will bring in. Waddle will break games open with his speed
R2 P10 CB Jaycee Horn - South Carolina- I really like him at CB. I would feel very comfortable going forward with Bradberry, Horn, and Holmes at CB. There would be growing pains but the talent is there and he would be learning from a top CB in JB
R2 P17 TE Pat Freiermuth - Penn State- Getting Baby Gronk would be a great get I think. Could keep EE and have an interesting and potentially deadly 12 or we could move on from EE and slide him in at TE1. Great weapon for Jones
R3 P21 LB Hamilcar Rashed Jr. - Oregon State- I’ve been a fan of his since late last year. I wanted him as a mid round gem but he’s still getting slept on for the most part currently. I think he would be an unbelievable value in the 3rd round
R3 P37 WR Elijah Moore - Mississippi- Speed and dynamic again. Waddle, Slayton, Shep and Moore with EE and Freiermuth at TE and Barkley at RB would be a ton of weapons to utilize
R4 P11 DL Daviyon Nixon - Iowa- I would be beyond shocked if he was here. Nixon is a monster and Gettleman would be drooling if he made it to this spot
R6 P12 G Tommy Kraemer - Notre Dame- OL depth
R6 P17 RB Jermar Jefferson - Oregon State- run RB to watch and another weapon to throw to the mix

New York Giants Jaylen Waddle WR, Alabama 43.
New York Giants Wyatt Davis IOL, Ohio State75.
New York Giants Patrick Jones II EDGE, Pittsburgh New York Giants Jaylen Twyman IDL, PittsburghNot a bad haul for us. Im not the biggest fan of Waddle.... Actually let me re-phrase that, im heedful or cautious about Waddle to say the least the season ending injury then re-injuring it in the bowl game just doesnt sit right with me. Davis is a good choice, especially if we part ways with Zeitler or decide there is no future with us and Hernandez. Dude is a day 1 starter Patrick Jones is a great pick, I think he is going to find himself in the 2nd round before all is said and done. Im actually more comfortable going with him over Rousseau or Paye, neither of them do it for me. Twyman would be a nice pick for some DE depth Whats your plan for CB???

Pray....it was a joke. 1.625/7.865 So whats your plan to address the #2 cb spot?? LOL....idk. Nobody was really there when I ran the mock, so I didn't force a position. Maybe a mid level vet FA? Can't fill everything with 4 picks and the team has a lot of needs. Even finding a CB high doesn't fix the position for 2021 as even highly drafted CBs struggle early most often.

Sucks this isnt a great year for edge rushers or CBs in free agency, as far as I know

Sucks this isnt a great year for edge rushers or CBs in free agency, as far as I know I did almost take Horn over Waddle in the first. Might be a better idea actually. I'm not really sold on Waddle. Haven't seen a ton of him, but he seems to body catch an awful lot. This concerns me. You can be a good receiver as a body catcher, look at Toomer. But can you really be a great one? Which is what you want there. Maybe I am off base on the kid, as I said, haven't seen a ton. But it concerns me. Smith and Chase really go up and grab them, good hands catchers. Chase reminds me some of Nicks when he was coming out. I am concerned about the year away from football. I am also concerned about Smith's very frail looking frame. I'm really not sure that WR is our best pick there, maybe get 2 or 3 later in the draft and bet big on CB like Horn, Farley, or Surtain. Maybe go edge guy there, but I'm not any more in love with the top guys there than the guys that are being called 2nd or 3rd round picks, like Patrick Jones or Hamilcar Rashed for example. IDK, still really early, things might change as we learn more. Fun to speculate regardless.

At least in some of our eyes, LOL Im not totally sold on Waddle at 11 because of his season ending injury and then re-injuring himself in the bowl game, not really ideal. I hear what you're saying about Waddle being a body catcher, alot of his film is full of body catches and then a few beautiful snatches out of the air, its almost like he body catches is because he doesnt 'need' to snatch it out of the air. When he gets the ball in his hands, before injury, its game over, dude is a blur on the screen. I also agree about Chase and the year away from football, i fell like a few of these prospects who sat out 2020 arent gonna come back the same player we saw in 2019, and that makes it really tough on the teams. Farley is another guy who im not totally sold on, dude has a terrible injury history, but when he is healthy he is lights out, is it worth the rist at 11??? I have no idea. The 1st round edge guys dont do it for me either, funny you mentioned 2 of my favorite pass rushers

I'd love to retain both Williams and Tomlinson. Nab Robinson or Samuel at WR in FA. Deal down a bit in the 1st to pick up a 2nd or 3rd. Draft CB like Horn; draft 2 or 3 WRs somewhere in the draft. After Chase and Smith there doesn't seem to be a lot of separation in the next group. Waddle, Marshall, Bateman, Toney, etc... Maybe one makes it to the 2nd. Then add a Newsome, Schwartz or someone later on. Would not mind adding a TE like Long in there also for another passer catcher. 1-Horn CB 2-Toney WR 2-Jones ER 3-Long TE 4-Newsome WR 6-Schwartz WR Would be pretty nice draft, but not likely I think.

No trades, and while not as into the draft as much as I usually am due to the Covid college year and no combine, the Giants scouting department better be. They are the make and break guys for this Daniel Jones, and possibly others. We all get it wrong most of the time, and have some fun...they HAVE to get it right.
11: R1 P11 WR Jaylen Waddle - Alabama
Obviously, we need some weapons, and some stellar playcalling with an offensive line that finally gels...this is another typical Alabama WR, running the full route tree from in the slot or wide...amazing speed with great hands. The injury is the only real question mark for this supreme athlete.
42: R2 P10 TE Pat Freiermuth - Penn State
The original baby gronk...we finally have the explosive TE/WR combo.... add in a hopefully healthy Barkley and no excuses for Daniel Jones
76: R3 P12 LB Zaven Collins - Tulsa
Hardly believe he drops here.
113: R4 P11 OT Daniel Faalele - Minnesota
Always need to draft some OL every year...the most important aspect of football. LOS...at 9'4 and nearly 800 pounds, this gorilla in the room who one arm curls a Prius with the ability to square dance pushes all the other OL to remain hungry and play through the whistle.
191: R6 P12 LB Paddy Fisher - Northwestern
Fisher on the inside, Collins on the outside, running backs request we leave them alone
196: R6 P17 G Tommy Kraemer - Notre Dame
Not Zach Martin, and certainly not Quenton Nelson, but we finally get a player from the OG factory. IrishTommy has talent.

IrishTommy has talent. Collins isn't going to fall that far unfortunately....if he is there for us in the 2nd it would be a miracle and get him here..and go Kolar in the 3rd.. Or if we go baby Gronk I go best o lineman on the board in the 3rd for the reason you said...a continuous pipeline of hog mollies even for depth is what always should be done (most teams shut this off after they find their starters....wait...how many teams actually have 5 good starting NFL linemen every year......) Seeing as Olave is going back to school the only WR I can see creep near our pick 11 is Marshall of he lights it up at his pro day Right game plan as usual here

Did the ultimate GM
ROSTER MOVES Signed Players: Leonard Williams - DL ($13,300,000) Dalvin Tomlinson - DL ($6,000,000) Logan Ryan - CB ($7,500,000) Matt Judon - EDGE ($11,200,000) Cut Players: Nate Solder - OT Golden Tate - WR Levine Toilolo - TE David Mayo - LB Restructured Players: James Bradberry - CB
On this Ryan's extension wasn't included so I added him (those numbers are site generated 2021 contracts ) Could only restructure Bradberry's or i would have extended Zeitler as well
Struck out on Sammy Watkins and 2 corners..
So
Drafting a bit hungry in a few spots
And I had a major YIKES worst case scenario happen for me 5 straight players well ahead of me Chase Waddle Pitts Surtain Smith
Thank you Miami for saving my bacon with this trade offer
18: R1 P18 WR Kadarius Toney - Florida
He is going to be a fast riser.....same kind of playmaker as Waddle. We need playmakers...Im not hung up on size..... Find guys that can be threats, figure out how to use him And he is actually more muscular than Waddle or Smith.. Plenty of time to get a bigger guy
36: R2 P4 LB Zaven Collins - Tulsa
He hasn't budged from this point of the draft in a long time and many of the corporate big boards have him lower... Getting a mid level weapon and Judon with keeping the D line intact makes this front 7 potentially incredible with multiple players that can be weapons inside and out.
42: R2 P10 TE Pat Freiermuth - Penn State
Baby Gronk will make Engram expendable after this year..big bodied chain mover in modern offenses and red zone target...especially with Toney opening things up
76: R3 P12 G Trey Smith - Tennessee
BPA..keeping the pipeline of young O lineman that could become starters on rookie deals makes your O line that much deeper and more talented..
113: R4 P11 RB Trey Sermon - Ohio State
Really didn't want a RB here TBH,especially a guy who while very talented has a bit of an injury history However He was 79 on my big board and the only other players that were BPA were a bunch of safeties and smaller slot type WRs... Maybe being in a limited role behind Barkley and not having to carry the load (Hopefully)his injury concerns will be mitigated and he can be productive (he is a nice all around talent in all areas )when he gets his chance.
191: R6 P12 WR Damonte Coxie - Memphis
Why is he ranked a mid to late day 3 prospect? I almost forgot about him . Yeah I'm running to the podium for a more athletic big bodied guy that actually is a threat post catch...
196: R6 P17 TE Luke Farrell - Ohio State
This guy was a productive pass catcher when Meyers was coach and Haskins was throwing to him.. He is a clone of Kaden Smith....
TRADES Trade Partner: Miami Dolphins
Sent:
Round 1 Pick 11
Received:
Round 2 Pick 4 Round 1 Pick 18

Im still so undecided on what I want us to do in terms of CB and a pass rusher. I really like Surtain, Horn, and Adobe. Melifonwu, Rodarius Williams, and Kary Vincent are OK. Caleb Farley injury history scares me.
As for pass rusher, I really like Hamilcar Rashed and Patrick Jones, but thats about it so far. Joe Ossai, and Quincy Roche are growing on me, but im not in love with ANY pass rusher
...Sucks those are 2 positions we need to address this off season. Maybe there are some better free agent options??

They have a large volume of young pass rusher types that have a hypothetical good upside already on the roster but its all hypothetical... My optimistic gut tells me that maybe another year of growth and keeping the front 3 together and we end up witb maybe 3 or 4 guys in the 2nd level that get 5-7 sacks and can apply pressure...which isn't a bad thing as teams will have a very hard time trying to identify which guy is the biggest threat

Joe Ossai, and Quincy Roche are growing on me, but im not in love with ANY pass rusher ...Sucks those are 2 positions we need to address this off season. If we are going to splurge on a pass rusher id take Ngakoue. Shaq Barrett, Bud Dupree, Leonard Floyd, and Haason Reddick will most likely ALL get big deals, and honestly I guess id be OK with all of them or Judon... Hell id even be OK with giving Carter and Ximines another shot at OLB while drafting a pass rusher with alot of upside, not sure WHO yet, LOL. The only decent guy that MIGHT come for cheap is someone like Carl Lawson might come on a relatively bargain of a deal...Who knows he might get a big deal too. We all know pass rushers come at a premium A few CB options that might not be TOO expensive are Willie Jackson, Desmond King, Shaquil Griffin, Vernon Hargreaves, Sidney Jones, and Ahkello Witherspoon... Then again im not a cap guy AT ALL

We need a free agent pass rusher that needs to be double teamed (who could that be?), and to resign the now double teamed Leonard Williams....taking the front 7 into the next area of talent. How can we do this being the cap issues? I believe I drafted two potential CB2 legit tryouts in this draft, and while I believe Horn is the better of the GameCocks (pitbulls of the chicken world) fantastic duo, Mukuamu is a 6'4 inch steal in round 5. I remember watching the game when he picked off 3 against the Bulldogs...might turn into a solid NFL starter. He has all the tools...was hoping to watch him at the combine drills. Josh Myers in the 3rd is too good to pass up...anybody who watches the Buckeye running backs needs to look at the OL they have, and how many will be drafted and starting in the NFL. This OL takes a huge step into the very good/great area once Gates is the versatile back up. If you draft Myers, why not the running back that benefited the most from the huge lanes he was partly responsible for in grunt creation? St Brown at that spot is silly. I am keeping the WR/TE combo of Waddle/Freiermuth (damn tough spelling that one) until the board gives me another option at 11. Freiermuth and EE would be formidable as a TE duo....don't be listening to the talking heads suggesting Waddle can only do slot/motion work. 11: R1 P11 WR Jaylen Waddle - Alabama 42: R2 P10 TE Pat Freiermuth - Penn State 76: R3 P12 C Josh Myers - Ohio State 118: R4 P16 CB Eric Stokes - Georgia 159: R5 P18 CB Israel Mukuamu - South Carolina 191: R6 P12 RB Trey Sermon - Ohio State 196: R6 P17 WR Amon-Ra St. Brown - USC

Yeah if Myers is still there in the 3rd you pounce. Thing is that Gates has proved to be a good starting interior lineman starting week 4 ...pat Kirwin 101 Find your 5 best O lineman Figure out where they play the best ... There is no rule stating that either Meyers or Gates can't be a starting guard, either way that line is strengthened bigtime with this pick inside And the signal to noise ratio about Waddle is more the segment of the fan base still stuck in 1990.. Look at that contested catch.. Our QB is one that has natural accuracy that would thrive getting the ball exactly at a point where Waddle is full speed perfectly thrown to get major YAC yards as well.. The key is to get him a bigger guy to play off of early..I like Baby Gronk as tbe complimentary piece to eat up yards in space with now open space .. Seems like Coxie is falling to day 3 so we could add him as well.

New York Giants Jaylen Twyman IDL, Pittsburgh123.
Washington Washington Trey Sermon RB, Ohio State139. Dallas Cowboys Javian Hawkins RB, Louisville In your mock, you have a player who jumped off the TV screen every time I saw him play, and that's Patrick Jones. Granted, I didn't watch him a ton, but the few games and series I watched live, I felt he was completely disruptive. This whole college season was weird, and I watched less college football than I have in years, but I went into this off-season with Jones as a potential mid-round target. He seems like a football player.

I'm trading Daniel Jones, Barkley and our next 20 years of number 1 picks, or a couple...Watson becomes our QB. I release Zeitler. Hernandez fights to start now against Shane Lemieux ...and the versatile Meinerz. Gates fights it out with Myers, loses...Myers and Davis create holes for the new running tandem of Patterson and Sermon. Radunz battles Peart for the RT spot, and the OL becomes dominant, led by the studs from Ohio State. Watson to Chase will become the Giants new battle cry. Ah, I can dream...Watson as the Giants QB would be nice. 11: R1 P11 WR Ja'Marr Chase - LSU 48: R2 P16 G Wyatt Davis - Ohio State 76: R3 P12 C Josh Myers - Ohio State 86: R3 P22 RB Jaret Patterson - Buffalo 113: R4 P11 OT Dillon Radunz - North Dakota State 143: R5 P2 CB Deommodore Lenoir - Oregon 191: R6 P12 C Quinn Meinerz - Wisconsin-Whitewater 196: R6 P17 RB Trey Sermon - Ohio State Trade Partner: New York Jets Sent: Round 3 Pick 16 Received: Round 3 Pick 22 Round 5 Pick 2 Trade Partner: Las Vegas Raiders Sent: Round 2 Pick 10 Received: Round 2 Pick 16 Round 3 Pick 16
