Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks basically trashed them for a straight up lack of effort on their podcast (Move The Sticks). Said that McCarthy’s and Jones’ statements after the game that they were happy with the effort sent the absolute wrong message to the team. Pretty strong criticism from two guys are are generally non-controversial

Went over to their board earlier to see what they were thinking.
Saw about 4 categories
1. The dreamers/homers: “Dak is as good as mahomes and only reason we are 1-3 is because our defense, otherwise we’re skipping to the SB at 16-0”
1a. Hoopla continued: “Dak is carrying the team and his INTs/fumbles don’t count cuz they are when they are trying to come back. His stats are not inflated due to garbage time, he’s just playing at a record level”
3.The realist/ (somewhat) Overly pessimistic: “The cowboys are complete and total trash. Historically bad defense and offense stats are inflated due to garbage time. The coaching is suspect but at least we got rid of garret!”
4. The absurd/ mentally ill “THE GIANTS WILL BE EATEN ALIVE, leading us to 13-3 and a SB trophy and Dak mvp, along with auto HOF nomination. This team is good hear me out!!”
Then a bunch are a mix of in between. With a lot of them nervous about the giants game but most (can’t blame them) are thinking 45-0 giants get embarrassed out of the stadium. Lol that about covers it.

For the amount of talent on that team they should not be 1-3. Mike McCarthy is probably feeling the heat, as for the rest of the stars on that team. Off topic. The Cowboys picked up Aldon Smith off the trash heap. The same Aldon Smith who is neck and neck with Josh Gordon with being suspended by the league. He has 4 sacks so far on the season, 3rd in the league. I understand he has a long history of off the field issues. But, we couldn’t take a flyer on him for a measly $2 million dollars?

The best case scenario is happening to them Dak could put up record breaking numbers in a 7-9 year ..with the cap going down they are already over in 2021 and Dak is unsigned
Now add in they are polar opposite of what we seem to be evolving into in tbat tvey are fundamentally inept, now low effort.. We might not beat them this week, but if our team is still evolving in the right direction and they stay like this...I really hope they need game 16 in our house for a playoff berth because we will send them packing and they will not recover for years with all the cap issues they have and they have to now give Dak 45 million a year

Playing the Giants always seem to set things straight in Dallas. Since 2013 Dallas is 11-3 vs the Giants. They’re sleep walking so far this season, and most likely will win the division.

He has more sacks than Fackrell and Carter combined. yeah well not many other Dallas players are making any plays, even tackles. From what irc Lawrence has 1 qb pressure and Crawford has like 4 tackles lol. Let’s not forget golden had 10 sacks last year...it’s just a stat without context is meaningless. Obviously he hasn’t been wrestling havoc if their D is historically bad as of now

The Dallas defense might be “historically bad.” Still doesn’t change the fact Smith is having a very good year. And when did sacks get over analyzed? Last time I checked a sack is still a sack. It puts the opposing teams offense in a disadvantage. Give me Aldon Smiths 4 meaningless sacks every day of the week.

Honestly, we have our own problems to worry about. As usual, a team in turmoil will get right against the Giants. It happens just about every single time.

I guess if we’re going to win at something it might as well be a stat.

To be fair, the criticism by DJ and Bucky was primarily focused on the Defense Would be hard to criticize a top 3 offense. Especially one with most of their starting OL out.

DAL is a better team than what they've shown thus far. At least they have their offense to hang their hat on.
And while their secondary is really bad, their front 7 should be playing at a higher level. Not sure what the issue is there.
Honestly, our team is probably just what the doctor ordered for them.
We don't have the weapons to break their defense like the teams they lost to had, and our defense is going to struggle against their offense.

If Dallas is a mess then the Giants are a complete train wreck Well, of course ... we’re 0-4 and are probably going to get rolled by Dallas. Just thought that it was interesting that two high profile, non-controversial media guys called them out so strongly for a lack of effort.

I'll hang my hat on that for now.

Dallas is learning new systems like us and have some youth playing on defense when they get it the defense will settle down probably. The offense is hanging a ton of points on people this will be a big test for our defense.
