Lots of comments in other threads praising his play. I think he deserves his own thread.
He looked the part of a 1st round draft pick to me. Hands like glue once he latched on to the DE.
I saw him get beaten slightly on the TD to Slayton, but it was to the outside, not inside, and as a result it gave Jones the time he needed to throw a dime. Other than that, he was a beast. Andrew Thomas' seat should be scorching hot now.

He played well. And it’s very telling how he has showed more in limited snaps than our 4th overall pick.

They need to put the best player out there. Any thought of keeping Thomas starting after today is ridiculous. Honestly we should go Peart at LT and Thomas at RT.

Chase Young was a rumor today ...Kerrigan got his usual one sack and again getting inside of Flemming... I think they alternated quarters ...but seeing as the offense was only on tbe field for 1 minute in the 4tg it was virtually Peart the entire 2nd half. Go with the hot hand...Thomas will get better...maybe he ends up as a great RT ... In 2 years if the line indeed ends up a top O line will anyone remember draft position?

You can add me into the anal group because I was surprised they didn't dominate this oline and the wild thing is that Thomas played himself out of the line up and they still didn't..

I had to do a double take when I saw Peart in the game. After a play I followed him to see where he lined up. On the left side! Bold move Judge! Peart did well too.

Look the days of LT is more important then RT are over, gotta have both tackles playing at high level great pass rushers play over the weak link they find them and terrorize them, I wanna see them start giving Lemuex some snaps would love to see this line being Peart or Thomas Hernandez who has had a few good games in a row Gates Lemuex and Peart or Thomas doesn't matter how you get there and who is drafted where just that they become a strength. Being able to move on from Zietler would save us some good cap cash.

Couldnt follow who was at LT every play, but I did see Thomas totally whiff on a run play where his guy tackled the RB behind the LOS from behind.

Peart impressed and showed why he was talked up so much by Judge and Colombo during the offseason . Hopefully he starts next week

Seem to have a better Kick, Footwork and Punch than Thomas
Not giving up on Thomas at all it is too early for that BUT he has a ton of work to do. Just doesn't look sure of himself which causes him to Whiff badly

Just doesn't look sure of himself which causes him to Whiff badly The 2nd clip showed the difference between Peart and Thomas. It's in the feet, being fast enough to allow you to keep position in the rusher's face without the rusher getting by. Flowers had brutally slow feet and the speed would easily beat him after a few steps.. Sadly, I see the same slow lateral feet movement with Thomas. I won't be happy next year if Thomas does not improve. I don't want to hear, "Thomas was a Flower".

We have a long week between games after Thursday Would not be surprised if week 8 is the beginning of a very long term situation where Thomas and Peart are our permanent starters... I think Peart has earned his chance to start, and Thomas still has high level starter upside
Figure out which side each player plays best this year and 2021 set them for 10 years

Revisionist history is always convenient around here it seems A simple trip into pre draft posts of course could confirm things

For instance, Haskins is now number 3 on the Washington depth chart.

I just like to point it out. Many liked Wills over Thomas and Becton too.

I see a very tough decision for Judge and his crew with going for Peart at LT. They have already done this once with Gates at Center and sticking with him. If they do and he's the man then lets hope Thomas can switch to a position he hasn't played in years..

I'd rather "hope" Thomas can be the LT he is supposed to be based on his college game and draft profile. In no way are they giving up on Thomas after 6 games with an oline that ge gets almost zero help from Gates and Hernandez. Nothing against Peart and hope he pans out too.

My response is just a comment about how good Peart played at LT when he was in and the comments that some fans like GL are saying about Judge putting the best players in no matter when they were drafted.. How about replacing Hernandez also since he's been bad as you just said??

He has had the advantage of not being thrown into the fire due to his draft position and NFL "readiness". If he was ready to go he would have been in at RT weeks ago. Perhaps if he was in from day one he'd be having a hard time too. Either way Thomas is not done yet. The kid needs to step up for sure and hopefully he will.

Thomas has been bad enough to have these discussions of setting him. It's a sad reality at this time and I've never claimed he was done. Like you I hope his learning curve is steep and it won't take those 3 years many of these fans out here demand be allowed for all players..

I just like to point it out. Many liked Wills over Thomas and Becton too. I was disappointed that they didn't draft Wills but I mentioned that I understood why they took Thomas since he played LT all through college. You know what, it doesn't mean anything. I haven't pounded my chest about being right on an internet message board because it doesn't help the Giants or make me feel better about this disaster of a season. I would be the first to tell you that none of us (myself included) are qualified to be a NFL GM. Up to this point I might have been right about Wills but I would have messed some other move up. We are all sailing on the same crappy leaky boat with a stalled engine. I want to be wrong 100% of the time if it means that the Giants win. Also, I haven't given up on Thomas at all, way to early to judge the kid but you keep putting him out there and reducing the Giants already small chance of winning against any team. This kid needs to earn his way back to LT. Try him at RT but if he can't beat out Peart, Peart should be starting at LT...
