ignorance is bliss and from what I can see, quite prevalent in your country. Would you agree? I would imagine not Hey...if you wanna start some shit, I can send a Troop of Girl Scouts up there and have them kick your Army's ass. They will be back before supper, I predict. And that supper will include bacon...real bacon - not that abomination you call bacon. never change kid, haha, too easy

I guess folks are just concerned about his record because you are what your record says you are or so the saying goes... And sure his team sucks but great QBs carry those crap teams to the playoffs all the time. It's a spongy rule so you may have to check out what day it is, the alignment of Saturn, what time of day it is and the position of the moon before applying it. OK. Team records are fun, but yes, very important. Perhaps some context should be applied? - Houston offence averaged a respectable 24 ppg - Giants offence averaged 17.5 ppg The talent on both offences is putrid. Big difference is between the QB's - one is a top 5 talent and producer, regardless of supporting cast. The other being Kirk Cousins without weapons. - Houston defence averaged 29 ppg against - Giants defence averaged 22.3 ppg against. Helps give context to the record. Yes? what would Daniel Jones record be if he had Houston's defence? Did our offence even break the 30 point barrier? would we have won a game? Questions that I would ask myself. Apply context? Here? Get thee behind me Satan. I never said anything about comparing him to any other QB let alone Jones.

There is no indication that Deshaun Watson wants out of Houston.

Texans would counter offer with 2 first rounders and just Daniel Jones.

I would think that a professional like Gettleman would know the team needs to have much more talented receivers at least I hope so... Yeah, signing Golden Tate, waiting till the 5th round in one draft, and passing up on a ton of receivers in a receiver rich draft in another certainly aren't good ways to address the position. I think DG is a decent GM although I do admit that he's crapped his pants a few times..

Yeah, no. Both have 4 wins this year. Sure as heck wasn't inability from Watson that Houston was floundering. Watson relative to Jones: - 1,880 more yards. Watson led the NFL in Yards - Watson had 2.3 more YPA than Jones. Substantial, but again, Watson led the NFL in this regard - 22 more TDs. Though, TD's were... lets say, not a strength for Jones. - 7 less turnoversWatson did this with talent that was similar to what Jones had supporting him, he lost a top 2 WR in the NFL and still put up the best numbers of his career. A first and Jones? Houston would laugh at the offer. I'd happily give this and next years first along with Jones for a top 5 QB. Now people complaining about the cost, what is more expensive, this transaction (2 firsts and Jones) or 'building' around Jones which is a complete crapshoot? What if one of the building blocks gets hurt? do we write off another season? some food for thought I am curious...what would you, as a Canadian, estimate it would take to get Watson? I dare say there has never been a trade like this before. I live in the Houston area and I know what these folks here think of Watson and they would never forgive the Texans if they let him go, I also know that JJ Watt is pissed at his team for not giving the effort required and I wouldn't be surprised if he is playing for another team next year...

I strongly doubt Watson is getting traded. That would be a nightmare for Texans fans after watching Hopkins get traded last year. Watson is a top 5 NFL QB and there is no way he's going anywhere.
He'll be the cornerstone of the Texans rebuild.
I agree 100%. Not that I wouldn't want him just think only fool would trade him QB is #1 piece they just need weapons. All I was saying if there is a partner out there that makes sense which to me none makes sense it would be Casserios old Boss. Loyalty only runs so deep think he stays as he should and the GM smooths it over with him. I wonder how much leverage Watson would have in getting traded if he went public with his feelings and said he simply didn't want to play in Houston any more, he's got a pretty decent contract but with the change in GM and a new HC on the way who really knows...

apparently he wants his input for the GM and staff considered (would he like Gettleman or Judge?) If he actually thinks his input on the GM should matter then he needs a new block diagram of the hierarchy of an NFL franchise is structured. Having a casual conversation about it with ownership is one thing but to be upset they didn't bring in any of the people you mentioned is ridiculous on his part. It appears that he was told he would have a say, which I blame on the Owner, but...if they told him he would, why wouldn't he be pissed that he didn't? yeah...what I read was that he a conversation with ownership and they spoke about potential candidates he thought could work. So he had his say. "His say" doesnt mean......ok we'll interview these guys and hire one of them.

Having a casual conversation about it with ownership is one thing but to be upset they didn't bring in any of the people you mentioned is ridiculous on his part. . That’s not true. The team wanted his input, once he gave them it the team did something else. Which is fine, but why ask your star player for his opinion? Are you trying to piss him off? Because that’s what they did. The team makes all the decisions, the players follow them or look elsewhere for work. Once you open up those doors you have a hard time closing them. This could all go away if Nick Caserio builds a team around him. If not, you’re going to have a disgruntled player. The point of this thread really is. “If Watson was available would you trade for him?” That answer should be a resounding yes, I’m not counting Mike; he’s still trying to figure out what planet he lives on. I read that afterwards. Thanks. They asked for his input and he gave it. They used it and went in another direction. With that said it does seem they have a little confusion in the FO.

Who knows depends if he keeps pushing and how hard he pushes. coming out this kid was solid as a team player and had worker my guess is his frustration is boiling over he has been injured a few times and knows time is short for NFL players, Dumping a top 2 WR for a bag of peanuts probably prompted him to want to know WTF they were doing and how they planned to fix their issues.
