Never said he wasn't. Being a star and being a QB who can play 10+ years with a team and win championships is different. RG3 was a star in the beginning. Can you please explain how this is different? Watson has been carrying that team for years despite terrible coaching and management around him. Not sure what more one would expect out of a young QB outside of what Watson has done thus far in his career. Everything terrible around him and still they were able to make the playoffs in his first 2 full seasons as a starter. And yet I hear that we are overrating him a tad bit. You can't make this ish up😂😂.

I guess folks are just concerned about his record because you are what your record says you are or so the saying goes... And sure his team sucks but great QBs carry those crap teams to the playoffs all the time. It's a spongy rule so you may have to check out what day it is, the alignment of Saturn, what time of day it is and the position of the moon before applying it. OK. Team records are fun, but yes, very important. Perhaps some context should be applied? - Houston offence averaged a respectable 24 ppg - Giants offence averaged 17.5 ppg The talent on both offences is putrid. Big difference is between the QB's - one is a top 5 talent and producer - Houston defence averaged 29 ppg against - Giants defence averaged 22.3 ppg against. Helps give context to the record. Yes? what would Daniel Jones record be if he had Houston's defence? Did our offence even break the 30 point barrier? would we have won a game? Questions that I would ask myself. I would ask...repeatedly...what would it cost to get this monster on your team?

I would throw in Mara, Chris and/or John, along with a bucket of hockey pucks of similar value for cherry on the top, if you will.

If the Giants somehow got Watson they would likely have no more success than the Texans because of what they would need to sacrifice through draft capital and their lack of financial flexibility to put things around him.

I'll assume that's what passes for a joke in Canada (sad as that may be) and ask again...what do you think it would cost to get Watson? I literally think it will be in the ballpark of three 1st rounders and couple of 2nd rounders. He's a massive talent, in his prime. No trade like this has ever happened.

There is really nothing we have that would be enough for a bonafide franchise QB like that. He'll be a Texan for the foreseeable.
It's actually silly to even speculate about it because it's pure fantasy.

Agree NE connection if not NE, I think Casserio is not gonna let him walk unless he gets a pick where he can choose his guy. This GM walked into a great situation he has one of best young QBs in the league. Even Lawrence is not Guaranteed to be what Watson already is. I strongly doubt Watson is getting traded. That would be a nightmare for Texans fans after watching Hopkins get traded last year. Watson is a top 5 NFL QB and there is no way he's going anywhere.
He'll be the cornerstone of the Texans rebuild.
I agree 100%. Not that I wouldn't want him just think only fool would trade him QB is #1 piece they just need weapons. All I was saying if there is a partner out there that makes sense which to me none makes sense it would be Casserios old Boss. Loyalty only runs so deep think he stays as he should and the GM smooths it over with him.

Bruh....now you are OFFICIALLY trolling. He threw 19 TD's in 6 games in his rookie year before he tore his ACL in practice.
Remember that Seattle game? They guy exploded on the scene.
Mike is a tad confused. But we're here to help him through it.
I remember him an the national championship game taking hit's and delivering Bombs on target Loved this guy coming out and when he blew it up in those 6 games it was like wow how did he last past pick 2 or 3.

If the Giants wanted Watson their best chance was in the draft. That ship has sailed now I would say.

apparently he wants his input for the GM and staff considered (would he like Gettleman or Judge?)
If he actually thinks his input on the GM should matter then he needs a new block diagram of the hierarchy of an NFL franchise is structured.
Having a casual conversation about it with ownership is one thing but to be upset they didn't bring in any of the people you mentioned is ridiculous on his part.

Nah I think they told him that he could have input and if that's the case then he's just pissed that he was lied too so who really knows. That organization is a mess right now and i knew that organization was a joke once they traded D.Hop for a bag of peanuts.

The team wanted his input, once he gave them it the team did something else. Which is fine, but why ask your star player for his opinion? Are you trying to piss him off? Because that’s what they did. The team makes all the decisions, the players follow them or look elsewhere for work. Once you open up those doors you have a hard time closing them. This could all go away if Nick Caserio builds a team around him. If not, you’re going to have a disgruntled player. The point of this thread really is. “If Watson was available would you trade for him?” That answer should be a resounding yes, I’m not counting Mike; he’s still trying to figure out what planet he lives on.

No...there's no way they can let him go. I'm wondering what people think it would realistically take to get him

And that supper will include bacon...real bacon - not that abomination you call bacon.
