Seems everyone is not respecting Montreal here (not here but media) Just like they did vs Vegas. We just saw how Tampa while the better team still played long stretches of games completely inept in their own end and costing them games And Price has been unbelievable, playing like someone who thinks he will never get this shot ever again If Tampa plays tbe way they did games 5 and 7 they can't be beat. Go Tampa… Keep the Habs at 24 Cups, and three championships behind the Yankees.

I like this.

Thanks It's going to be a lot tougher than many people think I have a lot of friends in Montreal that actually are just hoping we don't celebrate on their home ice after game 4 Oh And it's bullshit that they are only allowing 3500 people in the arena up there (yet the streets are jammed with people at outside viewing parties )..for effs sake let them have their fans for this to have some semblance of a home ice

Ok guys Come out like you did and play like you did game 7 Montreal also plays a neutral zone clogging style like NY did so you know you can play this style and win ..
Set the tone
Don't give this team hope by sleepwalking through extended stretches ofbthe game and give them a game early

When your 3rd line is now outscoring your 2nd line in a series..
What l expectee... game played in the neutral zone and Montreal is finding out the hard way that if Tampa stays disciplined in their system that turning it over can be deadly ths other way..
Edit Wow Price

Beautiful thing isn't it?

When I was growing up their were 3 dynasties the Yanks, Montreal, and the Boston Celtics. They all won championships almost every year. The late 50's and early 60's look it up it was ridicules.
Football in the 60's were Lombardi's Packers but by the mid 60's the other dynasties were near the end.
I always hated all these teams, always root against them even to this day.
Go Giants, Mets, Islanders !

I thought if the Isles could somehow get by Tampa they would beat Montreal. Wasn't sure about Las Vegas. We really came close to winning the cup this year.
Losing a 7 game series to Tampa by 1 goal in the 7th game is something to build on. Tampa was the better team and we could have beat them. IMO we beat 2 other teams that were considered better than us. The Penguins and Bruins.
Were maybe 1 player away. We do need a big time consistent scorer especially a clutch playoff guy that scores in the playoffs consistently. . We might have to trade Sorokin and I love Sorokin and perhaps a 1st rd pick that would be my off the cuff offer but I want that scorer and I don't care about the salary or if he plays defense. He will make our power play effective and that would really make us dangerous. He would learn to fit in with defense in Barry Trots system.
Bossy learned to play defense and mid way through his career he even killed penalties while scoring 50 goals a season. We need a Bossy he doesn't have to be a super kid from the minors he could come from another team but we need that scorer.
That's my 2 cents as of today.
Yes Anders Lee coming back next year would and is really going to help but we need a big scorer beside his return. Lou Lemenello make this work.

That was a clinic on how to play hockey in the Stanley Cup finals.. Stay true to your system, don't get unnerved and stray and back in/play conservative and stay disciplined once you get the lead. Score off counter attacks when opposing team turns it over Forecheck, get someone by the net at all times.. Don't get frustrated when the world class goalie you are facing robs you multiple times
Only one game
I am still predicting at least one of 2 periods of inept sleepwalking sloppy defensive zone play that costs them games because again, they are playing a neutral zone clogging style like they play and have a world-class goalie, getting down 2 goals again that team is suicidal..

Uurgh Kilorn out and day to day
Injured blocking a shot.. Probably the most underrated player on this team since 2015..

This is their "heads up their ass" game I warned about... And yet up 2-1.getting that goal witb a half a second left is huge.. Maybe they remember how they played in game 1 in the 3rd because no way in hell will they hold this lead or win it if they play like this in the 3rd
Seems they really do miss Killorn..his gritt and hard nosed style is nowhere to be seen by this team so far

Completely outplayed yet win 3-1 Vasilevsky...wow Vasilevsky was great over 40 saves. That goal with 1 second left in the 2nd period after being outplayed during that period was a backbreaker. Montreal did come out and play hard in the 3rd more than I expected but Tampa was brought to life by that goal. Tampa up 2 games Montreal is in a choke hold. Even if they win 2 out of the next 3. Looks like another boat parade in Tampa.

We are still talking about a team that set the record for most points in a season getting swept by Columbus in the 1st round in 2019 (we should be realistically be 2 games away from our 3rd cup in a row..and TBH if we didn't give up being up 3-2 vs Washington in the conference finals in 2018 be on our 4th in a row Selfishly I want a game 5 because I am going if it happens.... My head though also says get rid of these guys as fast as possible..don't leave a desperate team with a world class goalie hanging around for longer than expected..

You know this is the easiest series Tampa has had these playoffs. Fla. 1 loss, Carolina 2 losses, Islanders 3 losses. Montreal ?
Montreal looks like the weakest of the 4 teams they played. Carolina and Fla. beat Tampa out in their division this year.
Get out the broom it looks like a sweep to me.
