I personally don't like that a QB is judged by wins and losses. A QB could be outstanding and still lose a game if their team has a crappy defense. I have Watson in my top 5 despite their team's horrible record. I think in the long term, wins and losses have at least "some" significance. In a season or two I would say not so much.
There are exceptions however. If a franchise just sucks like the Lions, a great QB can get lost. A guy like Matt Stafford is a far better QB than his record shows. I would definitely put him in the top 10 on today's NFL QB's. Deshaun is another guy. Although he HAS won and gone to the playoffs several times in a short career so far.
But then you look at a guy like Brady, who, as a 43 year old for God's sake, WAY past his prime, and see him take a chronically bad franchise to the NFC championship game, you have to marvel at it.
The guy is amazing.
So, yes the QB is the most important position on the team. I think that is without a doubt. It is also equally true that football is the ultimate team game. If Brady ended on up on the Lions we all would have forgotten about him by now.

Dont care what kind of season Brady had. TB is in the AFC championship game and its in big part because him. Like him or not he is arguably the best QB in NFL history. I've watched a lot of TB games (many of us have) and I've never seen a QB who was as constantly pissed off, all season as Brady has been in TB.
I think he sets a standard that other QB's don't. He's not just a great player but he makes everyone better around him.

I keep reading the Watson was statistically the 3rd best QB in the league so I still think he was better than Brady this season.. The two games I watched Brady he didn't look good but I didn't see Watson once so there is that.. "Statistically" This is the problem with Fantasy Football these days. You are a trip.. 1st you tell me stats don't matter it's wins and losses. Then you tell me to move on which I gladly was going too. Then you keep responding back to me claiming that stats now count.. Now it looks like stats that you wanted me to look at don't count and they are only good for fantasy football.. Thanks bro Mondays with very little to work on suck so this comic distraction is welcome..

he is as competitive as ever As someone who really dislikes Brady personally, I agree. His competitiveness is what makes him special. There is no doubt his 2nd NFL career (post ACL in 2008) is much more impressive than his 1st NFL career (pre ACL in 2008). The guy just has the motivation and determination to not let people, his diet, his age, or work ethic be the reason he doesn't win. I think Rodgers is a better QB, but obviously not nearly as accomplished or motivated. Although I will say Rodgers was extremely motivated this past season (Packers drafted Love) and look what happened. I think we all just need to sit back and enjoy. Watching Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Mahomes (although still early for him), and a few years back Peyton is like watching Montana, Young, Marino, Elway, ect. Greats being great.

His numbers are off the charts, and he looks like he has gotten better with age. I watched his whole career, and there is not a throw that he can not make on the field. I’ve never seen a QB that can run to his right with a defender on his tail and he throws a perfect pass to the receiver for a 1st down. That’s not supposed to happen. He said it best. “Down years for me are career years for most quarterbacks.”

Then he should have no problem beating the Chiefs.

He’s so good that his parents ask for his autograph. He once threw a pass that still hasn’t landed. The Buffalo Bills are considering changing their name to the Buffalo Allen’s in respect to Josh. There’s a story that he broke the sound barrier just throwing a football around in his backyard.

Well that cost them 7 points, possibly 10 because it gave the Chiefs the ball with time to drive and kick a field goal. They lost by 5. I did the math.
Of course I DO understand that the teams might have played with a different strategy. But I truly believe that if they had scored before the half, they would have won the game. So I'll revise....IN MY OPINION....it came down to that play.

Well I knew it was your opinion, that's why I complimented your generosity. It's a fair belief. I believe that if Elle Mcpherson had met me before either of us were married, we'd be together. I'm more from the school that rarely believes one play decides a game and pretty much never early in the game.

Of all the people on this forum you'd block... And think of all the great content you're missing out on? Maybe he doesn't like my preference for fried chicken sandwiches.

I guess I think that play (the fumble/touch back) was a big one. I'm not disputing that at all. I don't think it was the whole game but it was huge. KC barely scored in the second half. Maybe it's a tip of the hat to the KC defense, I guess I feel that the Browns had plenty of opportunities. Maybe they were knocked off their game a little by it, they're a young team. If nothing else, it's great experience, they're gonna be good for a while.

It's weird this even needs a separate thread.
Yes, the highest paid position in the NFL is the most important position in the NFL.
Is there a controversy about this?
