So ,now that the Bucs are Super Bowl Champs. Will , it change how GM;s view the up coming Draft. NFL, is a copy cat League , defense dominated the most prominent offense [ since the Rams offense ] . There's nothing to change. Teams already know the recipe for Championships starts with a top defense.

Defense puts a team in the position of winning. You still need an executable money offense, good special teams and great coaching. Perhaps even a bit a luck thrown in. If you have a great defense and no offense you lose in a low scoring game. If you have a great offense and iffy defense, you lose by 2 + TDs if you encounter a a 2020 version of the TB Bucs along the way. If you have both offense and defense and special teams, as long as the other teams STs don't boat race you, you are in the game..
Next is the X factor. That is the desire, will to win. Tampa had all of that on Sunday

If you have an excellent D and an excellent QB you’re in the hunt every year.
The rest is just how the ball bounces.
But real good Ds come and go, the QB is the one constant for sustained NFL success.

Look up the average PPG of the SB teams offensively going back a decade. Offense wins championships on today’s NFL. KC was without their OTs and could not block, that’s not something a D normally faces in a SB. The only defensive led team to win in the last 10 years was the Peyton Broncos. What you really need is balance. And our offense is nowhere near it’s side of the bargain on that at this point.

I would totally hate it if the NFL morphed into a league that the games were 48-42 all the time. Basically who ever has the ball last wins. That would totally suck. I watch some college games that each team basically scores on every possession. Its just as boring as a low scoring game just in a different way. I am not saying they need to be 17-10 either.

It’s an offensive league. You need some semblance of balance, but you need to lean offense. Meaning it’s hard to carry an awful D even though the 2011 Giants did manage to do that during the regular season. Our D is good enough right now if you pair it with any offense to win a SB recently. That is where we are severing lacking.
