WOW! QBs are getting shipped off left and right. I think Russell Wilson, will ultimately want to go to the Jets. His wife has made it clear that she wants to live in a large media market and what's bigger than the big apple.

Russell Wilson must not be aware of the Jets history. They’re a black hole in regards to a franchise. You have to deal with the pressure of playing in NY, so every mistake will be over analyzed. The term “media circus.” Is true and it’s relentless. And last, it’s the Jets.. Why don’t you ask to be traded to Saudi Arabia while you’re at it.
I’m surprised at this. Seattle is a great franchise that has stayed relevant for sometime now. Why would he want to take what he helped build and run for the hills?
Too bad he doesn’t want to come here. Then again, I don’t blame him.

LOL, players dictating who their teams should acquire, wives dictating which team they should play for - maybe the GMs will have to consult with any of their toddlers in the future.

Old, tired franchise, stuck in the past.
We are clearly not a desired destination for most players.
Even the fan base seems happy to make excuses for losing.

That’s how it’s run in the NBA. It was bound to leak to the NFL. Hopefully, the NFL learns from the NBA. Don’t let the players rule the kingdom.

It shows you how far this franchise has fallen. 15 wins in the last 3 years. The Chiefs alone won 14 last year. We need binoculars to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

If you ask most Giants fans they will tell you that they're happy with the "direction" the team is headed.
The low expectations of fans contribute to the lack of accountability this FO is faced with.

I'm getting sick of these QB's that get paid $30+M per year and are whining because they also want to run the organization. Shut the f*** up and play football like we pay you handsomely to do.
What are the Jets going to do when he comes over there and wants to run things?

What are the Jets going to do when he comes over there and wants to run things? While most of us schmucks not only have to work without question with whoever the company hires, but ones who hate their job, sabotage other peoples' work, and scheme to get the supervisor fired or afraid of them. These players should recognize that their teammates, coaches, and F.O basically all have the same goal as them.

What are the Jets going to do when he comes over there and wants to run things? Me too. If I was running Houston or Seattle I would have a sit down and put these clowns in their place. As for this story it is not quite true. He has not requested a trade. He has expressed how he wants the team run/focused and similar to Watson doesn’t feel he is being listened to (yawn). His statement at this point is “I don’t want to be traded but if you do, you can only send me to these teams: Chicago Dallas Las Vegas New Orleans

IMO: This will affect the amount of up front money (signing bonus) players get. Just take Watson 29 million in signing bonus in September. Wants to be traded . If he does the team eats it in dead cap. Now Willison 65 million signing bonus .If traded 39 in dead cap. I do not see owners allowing this fleecing of dead cap money to continue. It is either going to be a small singing bonus or pay back remainder of signing bonus clause in contracts for trade requests.

The guy has a 140 million dollar contract...players are so spoiled now it's pretty comical. So he expressed he's open to a trade and on top of that wants to dictate how the owners and management deal him. I think this type of stuff will make fans pick up a new hobby on Sundays that isn't watching football games. I can see why Coughlin got ran out of the league last year by the NFLPA considering how things are now. So..yeah...I don't think the current company I work for is the best for my career. I want to get traded to Google, Apple, or Amazon, lol.

I would think that would be a bare minimum consideration and probably a good way to squash this kind of behaviour. “Ok you can be traded. But I want the whole signing bonus back plus additional funds to compensate my organization for the loss” otherwise put the screws to these guys. I would let them sit out and withhold salary if I had to. Hey at least the guy is not playing for another team and kicking my ass

I really hope he doesn't go to Dallas...
Its something I could see Jerry going after though.
I would part with DJ, SQB and our 1st rounder for Wilson right now

Apparently thats what the fans want so the owners is giving it to them. Low expectations, low quality, high prices
Fans here are ok with losing. Don't get it. never will

All this talk of fans being ok with losing is bullshit. No one wants their team to lose, but what is the alternative. Only one I see is to switch teams.

I say 15 wins in 3 years is horrific. Really, it's 18 wins in 4 years. There are no excuses. Yet fans will offer up a number of them.

With him possibly throwing 2 first round picks as well.

Very true. There is a population of fans that have this perspective since DG was hired. DG gets hired: "Nice, he did well with the Panthers and is familiar with the Giants, good move." After Year 1: "He has to get a feel for the team and now Eli is gone so he can rebuild." After Year 2: "Every rebuild takes at least 2 years, like what he has done, give him and DJ another year." After Year 3: "Bringing in JJ is great, they really played hard this year, just add a WR, TE, DE, CB, OT, OG and we are good, DJ really needs 3 years to be evaluated."

All this talk of fans being ok with losing is bullshit. No one wants their team to lose, but what is the alternative. Only one I see is to switch teams. I've known a few people who have switched teams quite a few times, as the ones they were temporarily with had dry spell. One thing in common, they were all NYer "Cowboy Fans" in the 90s. Pathetic. I've stuck with a bunch of much more significant things in life through great duress, and eventually persevered.

All this talk of fans being ok with losing is bullshit. No one wants their team to lose, but what is the alternative. Only one I see is to switch teams. You have virtually zero ability to change anything about how the team operates, what you can change is your attitude toward it. Maybe try posting more angrily. Advocating for a lot of fantasy football style changes and then distancing yourself from them if they don't work out, that kind of thing. Because ultimately it doesn't matter what you say or suggest or advocate for because it has no bearing on the team anyway.

This years QB movement is unmatched like anything we've ever seen in at least 60years. # starters already traded Wentz, (if he's a starter) Geoff, and Stafford. Another 3-6 being rumored to move. I honestly can't get enough of it. They've hooked me in.
These QB's getting 35-40 mil supposedly in a year when the cap is going down is like 20% of the cap. 40 mil on a 200 mil cap is 20%. Then QB's like Rogers and Wilson are complaining they don't have enough good players around them. What Balls !
Can't have your cake and eat it too. Not this year.

The funny thing about this thread is that he did NOT request a trade and simply stated the places he would like to go to if he were to be traded.
