What makes you think Jones isn't Judge's QB? That weird fan thing where "he didn't draft him! He wants his guy!" As if someone's guy couldn't be on a roster already.
If Judge weren't so hyper specific about why he loves Jones last month or whenever it was recently, maybe we could talk about this. But I think it's super clear Jones has the confidence of the organization.

Now you’re moving the goal posts and claiming a standard. I never said that. B.T.W - if Miami makes a change that since when determination will happen again. It that a standard? No, it’s since when. 1st Question I asked to you. So one team did it now it is an NFL standard? If you say so. Your Answer. you asked since when. I gave you the answer. If you don’t want the answer, don’t ask the question. Especially when it happened just recently.

Since when is less than 2 seasons a determination of capability of QB that initiates the drafting of another at top of the draft QB? I’ll take Arizona for $500 Who is Kyler Murray? good morning sunshine - this is all which was said. End of story. |

Lol why are so many getting all bent out of shape over a hypothetical situation post that in all likelihood isn't going to happen? It's just something to discuss other than the same old tired subjects.
Do I think it's happening? No. Would I be surprised if it happened? A little but honestly not a lot. I don't believe anything any coach or GM says about any player.
Haven't there been enough instances where a coach or GM has endorsed a player and then that player ends up on another team? Or a coach who swears he isn't leaving a team for a different team and then does the next season?
I would hope that Judge is sincere about Jones being his QB, but I wouldn't be shocked it if turns out he isn't.

All very valid points. I was just throwing out a hypothetical, not saying it would happen. I do think Judge wants his own QB at some point though but don't see this happening at pick 11. As for DJs value, I agree. I'm not sure right now anyone gives up a 1st, but a 2nd is possible. He showed in his rookie year to have talent. Some other GM who liked him in 2019 could offer a 2nd? Mainly just wanted to know reactions to if it did happen. Interesting topic...Well it all depends on who is available at 11 and what we get for Jones. If its Mac Jones or Trask perhaps. And if we could get a 2nd or a few couple of 3rds? Hmmm  He had a good rookie year. Very young coachable. Unfortunately his sophomore year his production fell off a cliff
For now, I would give him another year, but I wouldn't guarantee anything to him. In fact I would pick up a one of the FA QBs floating around as a backup qb like a Drew Lock. Just to provide competition at the position. See what he does with it

Finally a "what if" which is somewhat intriguing until you realize it's not happening. Judge is absolutely going to back Jones 100% at this point It is up to Jones to to prove this coming season that he is a capable QB that can lead this team to the next level If both owners, coach and GM didn’t just publicly pledge full support for Jones, we might have something to talk about. When all these people feel the need to "pledge their support" to our QB....there might be a problem. |

Ask Carson Wentz how he felt about Jalen Hurts being drafted. You can say anything you want to try to make your player believe that you believe in him. Actions tell the real story. |

Its not a Trubisky type situation |

Any team that is not sold on their QB will speak vaguely like the Jets have about Darnold. You won't say things like "Daniel Jones absolutely is our QB moving forward" if you have every intention of replacing them. "We didn't sign him just to trade him". Dave Gettleman on Odell Wasn't that before the odell and lil wayne interview?? There's no way at that time they signed Odell just to trade him and especially with the cap ramifications. |

drafting a new QB in round 1 would put this franchise back at least 2 or 3 more years, it would be considered circle jerk management..

I think that Judge is sincere when he says that Jones is his guy. Hope he’s right I do too, hope that statement wasn't just a morale booster for Jones |
