Yes he's a backup. But he'd also be effective in a multiple back attack. he has something to offer.
Let's not forget that he made the biggest offensive play of the season in the biggest win of the year.
Real life says he's a free agent rb with no contract offers and the NFL draft is less than a month away. Reality.
Who are you serving by pretending to know about Wayne's free agency?
Reality.

Real life says he's a free agent rb with no contract offers and the NFL draft is less than a month away. Reality. All true. But he got the shaft from our team. He was certainly the second best RB on the team behind Saquan. Yet Shurmur AND Joe felt the need to healthy scratch him several times.
Maybe that will be his legacy. How he got ****ed by his team and couldn't overcome it.
Who knows all I see is the present time. He's currently a FA despite his 2020 film, which I'm pretty sure his agent has been sending out to the LG

Men lie, women lie, numbers don't. So far Gallman's salary is zero K. 🤷🏿♂️

when a running back's moves look the same on paper over 3 years its time to filter him out. That statement was in regards to a starter. If we can get him back as a #2 #3 I'm for it. Duality Aka Gallman is a nice backup, but will never be a RB1 Yes he's a backup. But he'd also be effective in a multiple back attack. he has something to offer.
Let's not forget that he made the biggest offensive play of the season in the biggest win of the year.
He also made one of the worst plays of the season and almost lost the biggest game of the year.

He is not versatile enough . If a player is a backup RB and can not play on special teams . Teams are going to shy away from that. The are reasons he has not been singed. Could be money. There are a lot of Jobless RBs. What he can do in the backfield. Most RBs also can. What he can't do. There are a lot of them that can do that also.
Don't blame this on the Giants;
He had 3 diffrent HCs to showcase his talents . All 3 of them saw he was a backup. 2 of the felt he lack abilities for their special teams unit. One of them asked him not to suit up for games. All facts.
I liked Wane last year. But there only 51 that can suit up on game day. As a backup RB you have to be able to do other assignments . If you can't does he deserve a spot for one that can?

I'm sure he'll find a team. The same thing was said about Orleans Darkwa. I hope Wayne does find a job. Darkwa had 751 yards rushing his last year as a Giant 879 yards from scrimmage in his last year . Also very low snap count on STs. 30% in 16 and 14% in 17 ( never played in the NFL again) Wane last year 682 Rushing , 786 YFS

Judge wouldn't even let him on the field last season (0 snaps) and only 39% offensive snaps .Shurmur only gave him 17 snaps on STs and only 15% of the offensive the year before. There is a reason. It is not like he needed rest between Offensive series.

I'm not sure about the shaft from NYG--at least not Joe. Gallman basically credited Judge for giving him a "come to Jesus" talk about his play and its potential. Lets face it, we never saw him hit the smallest cracks with authority like he did after Saquon went down. If he falls through the cracks I think it's primarily due to the steady flow of low cost backs coming in, and not due to this player. He's a solid citizen and for the most part had good ball security. Maybe he does come back cheap.

LL those position groups LB RB Safeties CBs usually are gonna have to play team if they aren's starting and even have to sometimes when they are starting. since the 5 man wedge was out lawed these Faster smaller guys have taken an even bigger role and we all know Judge is a STs guru Exactly and he gets the dynamics of running an NFL team and managing the roster, the fact theres not room on the roster for 11 special teamers and backups who don't contribute to the teams. My son has a friend played for Washington last year Jets before that the bears Chiefs drafted by Seattle and is on to the Texans he's a LB fast can help as a spot starter and play well but he has made a career playing teams, he just signed a 2 year contract gets him to I think 8 years you probably have heard of him Kevin Pierre-Louis. Great kid

I think the Giants really like Wayne I think it as simple as roster management Back ups in there prime have value but most teams won't pay a guy just to be the back up gotta play teams and to Gallmens credit he was trying in last years training camp. This fall directly on Mac Adoo / Shurmer not developing him from the jump to play on teams.

if RBs are a dime a dozen like most think the NYGs should be able to get the production out some RB to replace Gallman's spot.
If not them its a bigger problem then not having Gallman in the roster.
I like Gallman but he is not a make or break player. Maybe on a 6-10 team he is. On a team that is supposed to be ascending he is just a good back up.

The back up by no other choice has to play special teams. Some running backs can’t, their whole football life they have played running back or another skilled position. Look at our very own Ahmad Bradshaw. His first 3 seasons he didn’t start more than one game. You think he played special teams? Nope, his whole career he took 1 special teams snap. Luckily for him and us he was drafted way before Barkley..

When I suggested that we already had our #2 back, several here said that he'd get #1 RB money in FA. So I shrugged my shoulders and accepted that feedback at face value. Many here do deeper research than I would ever do. Looks like I may have been right. Problem for us now is that we've already burned our RB2 money in FA. BTW, I was always a big fan of Gallman's. He is not a franchise changing RB but as a football player......give me 20 more like him. Yep... a Parcell's type of player. I remember when he told Kotar he could play for him any time. Kotar was effort. Dan Lloyd, LB, 76 - '79... never cracked the starting lineup but the fans loved him for his effort whenever he was in there. Gallman did a great job last year. I'm sure he and his agent were hoping for a team needing an RB, and willing to pay him starter money. But not at whatever price they were hoping for. Clubs would rather get a lower priced rookie in the 3rd, 4th rnd. If you're not a superstar RB, you're a dime a dozen in the NFL these days at some point a player has to tell his agent to shut up and just make a deal, agents always hold out for more money because of their "agents percentage"

I want to here these answers. So why didn't the GM or HC want him back? Why was he healthy scratches, ( you do noth have to answer these) rhetorical questions. As far as Bradshaw . He played for TC. Apparently the 3 HCs after him seen it differently.

You said backups have to play special teams, well I gave you a prime example how that isn’t true. And you’re referencing the three head coaches he played for? Two of them will never be a head coach again in this league. And the other one is still wet behind the ears. Barkley has a lot to do with who plays backup to him. The back up will rarely get snaps, and he has to play special teams. Something Gallman clearly can’t do. Hence, why he is always in the everlasting dog house. Last year, by no other choice he had to play. And he played very well. Judge gave two washed up backs a chance before he gave the reigns to Gallman.

The HC coach specifically stated he wants players that are versatile. You seem to have omitted that. If Gallman was . Do you think the HC would have used him in that way? Now you know my theory on why he was let walk. Besides " This is the Saquon Barkley treatment" Which looks to be misleading because of the Biooker signing. Also your if TC did it this way every Giant HC after him should do it that way does not pass the the logic test. You explain why Gallman is not on the roster?
