Yes and he did it when he was “old” Added weight and strength late in his career and became a top player in the league. Can’t think of another RB doing something like that. Changed his play style and everything. Timing was just off for him. Put in max effort towards the end and got caught with a coach on the hot seat and a young QB still developing and got disillusioned. Then got caught with a young blonde while his wife was pregnant. We weren't in his marriage, we don't know what was going on in there. Plus, I'm sure she got paid plenty.

Then got caught with a young blonde while his wife was pregnant. She was told to stay in bed during her pregnancy. He was doing his thing lol with the intern, all I remember is him talking about his father not being part of his life and he was never gonna be like that with how much he loved his college sweet heart think it was Ginny or Jenny or something lol he's the one who put the moral bullseye on his own back. Other than that great player great Giant happy birthday Tiki enjoy. I think that we need to be more careful about what speculating about what goes on in someone's household. We also need to stop putting a moral compass on athletes. Tiki cheated on his spouse but he did not break any laws. What happened in his household is his business. I just don't care about what professional athletes do off the field, as long as they aren't breaking laws. I know someone that gets endless praise by Giants fans and he broke several laws. He wore the number 56. Rape charges, prostitute solicitation from a minor, a registered sex offender, leaving the scene of an accident, and several drug incidents. LT has all off that yet he still gets a free pass from the moral police in our fanbase. Tiki says a few negative things about his former teammates and head coach as a paid analyst and he gets an endless grudge held against him? I just don't get it. Probably never well.

Then got caught with a young blonde while his wife was pregnant. Just like Tom Brady. Well, she was a brunette but still... Tom Brady cheated on his wife while she was pregnant?

Hall of Fame player (just my opinion) Hall of Shame person but forgiven (just my opinion)
We’ve all done stuff that we regret. I’m sure, in a quiet moment, he has his deep regrets. In his case, I don’t think it was his honesty while being a reporter but his dishonesty while being a husband. Moral price hopefully paid. Time to let it go. If you want perfection, don’t live in this world.
Happy birthday Tiki. You were one of the most exciting players the Giants have ever had.

People need to stop bringing that situation up because NONE OF US knows them on that personal level. Guys just like to use that as a scapegoat because of how Tiki left the organization. Had Tiki stayed and won with the giants in 07 then we would barely hear a peep about Tiki's personal life being scrutinized and ridiculed. Tiki was a great Giant and one of the best dual threat rb this league has ever seen imo.

Taylor never claimed to be a quire boy. Tiki every interview was about his broken home and how he felt about his father and how he was never gonna be that over and over and his love for Ginny lol he put the bullseye on his own back. I don't care just think it's actually pretty sad he obviously felt the pain of not having his dad with the family and told the story many times in interviews. how he didn't want to be that. I just stated the facts great football player great Giant but in the end he was a master bull shitter to. Taylor never said he was gonna be a family man I don't recall him every saying anything positive or negative about his family. You get the money and spot light fair or not your gonna get judged especially when everything you claim to believe in to your fans and the public you do he opposite. Think like all of us Tiki isn't perfect this goes with the territory tho don't tell your life story and claim to be something your not and expect your fan base and the people who listened and read your story to see you the same way as before. It's part of stardom. I have 0 grudge and see him for what he is a good football player and imperfect human. This why high profile people don't let fans and media in.

Sarc I agree 100% but he brought it on him self he came from broken family and was vocal about his feelings on his dad not being with the family. And put this front on that he was never gonna be that guy in the end he was that guy, just with the money to make it better. Not our business but if you followed the Giants close back then he talked at length about this subject and his love and loyalty to his new wife. Everyone makes mistakes and life isn't always easy he brought it on himself by publicizing his life.

I think its messy to bring up his personal life when none of us really know the whole story. Again had Tiki not criticize TC after he retired or had he stayed and won a title then most here wouldn't be bashing Tiki constantly. Didn't Strahan go through a nasty divorce too?? I dont recall guys here getting on him like that because we all liked Strahan and he's a likeable character on TV.

I could careless about his personnel life it's just funny he did all the things he said he wouldn't and who knows what would of happened if he didn't have the means to be part of his childs life, None of these things make him a bad person maybe a bit sketchy at that time. Anyway I'm not bashing him these are the only things that really matter being mad at TC or dogging Eli that was common back then and even up until Eli retired. But acting as tho you are one way and being the polar opposite is another, even if him and her were at war while she is bed ridden with his child isn't the time. Mistakes are mistakes I'm sure he thinks about these things from time to time and probably wishes he did some things differently.

I am not a Tiki hater but the facts are the facts this was an ugly situation made even more ugly by the fact that he publicized what he and his twin and mom went through in a single family household. and that he would never be that person. The timing didn't help his wife being pregnant and bed ridden. As I have said I'm sure this is one he would have liked a do over and do it a little differently.

Dogging Eli wasn't common back then by his teammates and that's why Tiki got lit up by us fans and the media. Also bashing TC seemed crazy back then too considering TC helped him with his fumbling issues and became at worst a top 3 rb in the league and was in the MVP conversation in 05. I truly feel had tiki won then his criticism wouldn't be as bad. From the outside it looked really bad for tiki back then and perception is reality. This was 15 years ago?? Why can't some here just let it go?

The greatest Giants RB that ever was. He's an average broadcaster and analyst. I don't hate him anymore, the guy was paid back triple for all his horrid behavior back then. Guy lost everything. But he should never be welcomed into the ex-Giants family. And he never will be. Boos will all he'll ever get from Giants fans. Even on his birthday, that's what I love about Giants fans. You like it when Giants fans are petty and small? They have that right as fans. Just like you with Gettleman.

Agreed. He became:
IMO, he overplayed the self promotion tour in the middle of his career. Tiki here there and everywhere. Tiki as our next Today Show host, could be Senator Tiki some day. Tiki the valedictorian of his high school. Tiki up at 6:30 am doing intern work on a radio station. He got way too far over his skis on his high moral horse which blew up when he cheated on his pregnant wife. He is not the first to do that but he invested so much off field time on establishing what a great guy he was......he earned the blow back. He was a great player for a few years undoubtedly, but in the end I would never want him as a neighbor, "faux friend" or worst of all son in law. Yes irrelevant and forgettable in the end, for me.

Maybe because some of Dbag the stuff with TC and Eli was later confirmed with him getting it well his wife was home in bed from I guess a tough pregnancy. What ever the case I'm sure like every human he wishes some things he could have back and do differently.

Tiki will never be forgotten as a Giant great. No chance. His stats are undeniable. He's the Giants leading all-time rusher, that will probably never change.. But he will be remembered mostly for the negative things by the Giants fanbase. That will live on longer than what he did on the field.

What was said a long time ago on the old boards? “Let’s not talk about players personal lives.” This thread, let’s talk about Tiki’s personal life.. The Point is he brought this all to the fore front talking about his own situation and vowing never to be that guy. I get it if you followed Giants football his story was hashed out and over several times in interviews on radio TV and in print he was a different person then he put out there, really a polar opposite. I'm sure he had big fans of his that were disappointed. It would be like Eli or Jeter going off and not being accountable with something they vowed needed accountability..
