he ate himself out of the league as a WR and TE. Now thats a success story. Nah... Let him try for the hat trick and try to ear his way out of the league as an O lineman now LOL sounds like he is taking his ball and going home for good seems from the interview this isn't the first time he was unhappy about being held accountable.

It is funny the talking heads are running with this thing, We have the Polar opposite with Will Hernandez loses 20 pounds in the offseason welcomes the position change in his contract year worked his ass off, team first guy, they aren't very interested in that tho. Hernandez went as far as to say he wanted the position change After being injured and getting covid he refuses to use those things as excuses these are the kind of guys the Giants want on their team. not what Benjamin is or has turned into.

Do you not remember how bad we were ripped for signing Judge and then they were all over every little thing he did? This will continue. When the media makes a prediction and we do something else they have to hate it. Barkley over QB, Jones over Haskins, Judge over a bunch of coaches that still aren't HCs. They hate us because they can't predict what we will do.

"But Benjamin passed the Giants’ conditioning test Tuesday, he said. The test for a tight end consists of the player completing 20 50-yard dashes in under seven seconds." 1000 yards in 7 seconds?? Whoa. And if you don't Coach Judge will rip you with Lard Ass and other mean expletives.

Let me get this straight... They wanted him to lose 17 pounds in a month? Is that even possible, or even healthy? The Giants knew exactly what they were getting, they should’ve cut him then, or let him compete if he passed all the physicals. It sounds like the HC and GM were on a totally different page with this player. That's the first time I ever heard of a player being cut during practice. Sorry, but the whole thing sounds weird. In the last 2 seasons we’ve had the Baker, debacle, the Colombo debacle, the Toney debacles, now this... Can we get back to being a normal team and stop making headlines for all the wrong reasons? Call me crazy but we were toeing the "normal" line with Mac and Shurmur and we were freaking terrible. Judge is making decisions to better this team and does not care if he has to do it the first day of camp, on Christmas, in the middle of a meeting. Like he said, they are always trying to improve. I don't care if he cuts people at breakfast if it makes us better.
And yes when you're fat (or even slightly overweight) you can pretty easily lose 14 pounds in a healthy way in a month.

To me after reading this. I think there is more there then weight. He seems like a "I am going to do it my way" kind of individule. When there are consequences for that mindset. He takes no blame for his role in it. He said the weight was more muscle than fat, and the pictures seem to look like he is in good body proportion for a TE - in all fairness to him.

Whoa. Not sure if you're just joking but I think they mean each sprint must be under 7 seconds. Probably easy for the first 5-10 but likely gets tough towards the end.

Conditioning was an issue during the minicamp (which is in itself mind-boggling, considering it was his last chance in the NFL) and Judge asked him not to be so fat for training camp. What an ogre.
I’m sure that teams will be lining up to sign this Svengali who apparently knows the SB winning formula.

Not for nothing, a WR transitioning to TE isnt likely going to be used for his blocking ability. The skill you have as a WR, they want you to be a weapon. For him to say "I put on muscle" when he was told to lose the weight means he failed the test.
If it were somebody who really wanted to be in the league, they would have made more of an effort to lose the weight. Clearly not Kelvin.

Probably ate a few footballs, and Judge cut him off at 6. Hope he took pictures of the field and locker room. Because, that will be the last time he ever sees one in person. His NFL career like his belt has been torn apart.

He’s 265 at minicamp and Judge asks him to come into training camp at 251. He shows up at 268 and is surprised to be cut. to be fair, muscle weighs more than fat so... Lol Maybe he could have played guard by September.

Mini- camp was probably 2 months or so ago...so 14 lbs in 8 - 10 wks is not a hard ask

I can see him trying to run a route, gets about 3 feet off the line of scrimmage and then has to stop and just bend over with his hands on knees, waving off the defense.

It is very easy to rag on the player in situations like this. However, it is totally warranted this time around. Benjamin did not handle his side of their agreement and the Giants acted accordingly. Nothing more or less.

Yes it is but he came in heavier! WTF? exactly. While 17 lb in a month is a lot to lose, had he lost 5ish , which is reasonable, it probably would have gone over quite differently. I agree with you about this. I don't think that they expected him to lose that kind of weight. Their issue was that he didn't lose any of the weight. Gaining several pounds made their decision easier to make.

Guard he was close he was 268. 35 more pounds sounds doable.

I honestly wish the best for him going forward in his life. I also hope that he get his weight issues under control. The Giants decision to move on from him was strictly business and not personal.
