Is there any reason Daboll should not call the offense plays?
If that is what he is used to doing and that is what he is known for why take chances?

Maybe even some that have never called the offense, only coached them up in practice. Is that what Kafka left one of the best teams in the league for? |

As already posted, Daboll will be overseeing 2 (or more) other aspects of this game, that he presumably has never delved in. Maybe he could do a better job calling the offense, but how well can we expect him to juggle all the rest at the same time. And despite us thinking all the time between plays is bogging things down, the decision making moves fast for these coaches... |

As a first time head coach he needs to focus on overseeing the operation. Direct the other coaches to do what he wants for the team to be successful. He has to step back and be the CEO and sell and push the vision.

I want him to have a staff where he feels the offensive playcaller is doing a fantastic job and he doesn't need to think about it. If he doesn't feel that way in short order, I want him to do what he feels is necessary, and if taking playcalling is the thing, then do it. |

I'm sure he will still have major Input on the Offense but Kafka is coming over the Chiefs so I trust that he will be just as creative as that Offense is...now of course we don't have Patrick Mahomes so it probably will never look as good

Kafka has been in charge throughout OTA's and supposedly it’s gone well. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that’s how things will remain, according to a story I read.
Hopefully it does that that way and Jones has some stability for a couple of years at least.

Pros and Cons.
Most of us see how many coaches struggle managing the clock across the league, plus 10 other in game issues. An HC has a full time job on the sidelines during games.
On the Plus side? If this offence turns around quickly, I don’t know if Kafka survives long in NY. Daboll calling plays may be the continuity we’re looking for.
For the first time in a long time, I trust our HC’s judgment on this.

If Daboll doesnt call plays he will be in Kafka's ear for sure. Its a mix of both of their offenses anyway

I dont think theres any way for us to know either way honestly, Im just gona go with the flow of the team and hope its not a trainwreck.
Another time id say, oh leave the offense up to the coordinator and let the hc run the whole team, but the giants have shown me the last few years that what i think is down is up, and what is right is wrong, and etc etc...
I will say, if daboll and schoen turn out to be a failure, then good lord put a fork in it, I dont know what else to save this team. really liking daboll in his pressers, and watching him is reinforcing to me that man judge really fooled me year one, daboll is nothing like him thank the gods.

Michael Strahan telling Terrell Owens to look at the score.. Well, he did. When the 49ers headed to Tampa. |

That same year my high school football we literally did the same thing. We had a 21 point lead going into halftime in the game before nationals and let we let them beat us in OT. |
