Judge gets the MVP. Much deserved. NOW, he can start the auction... 28 of 30 first place votes. Just wish he was worthy in the playoffs.... This should have been his second one. That Smurf in Houston stole it from him back in ‘17.

Kiner-Falefa, Yanks agree to 1-year deal NEW YORK – The Yankees and Isiah Kiner-Falefa agreed to a one-year contract worth $6 million on Friday, avoiding arbitration Kiner-Falefa, 27, had been reported as a non-tender candidate after earning $4.7 million this past season, when he served as the Yankees’ regular shortstop before being benched during the playoffs. Acquired from the Twins along with third baseman Josh Donaldson and catcher Ben Rortvedt in a March trade that sent catcher Gary Sánchez and infielder Gio Urshela to Minnesota, Kiner-Falefa batted .261/.314/.327 with 20 doubles, four homers, 48 RBIs and a career-high 22 stolen bases in 142 games. Though the Yankees repeatedly defended Kiner-Falefa’s defense, citing internal metrics that painted him among the top three to five shortstops in the league, Kiner-Falefa was charged with 15 errors during the regular season. www.mlb.com/yankees/news/isiah-kiner-falefa-deal-with-yankees

I'll be pretty bummed if he's the starting shortstop on opening day.

Yankees shopping Gleyber Torres and Seattle is throwing them offers.
They better get a hell of a return.
This means DJL will play 2nd base IMO. IKF @ SS (Peraza backup) with Donaldson at 3B (Peraza/Volpe backup). Rizzo at 1B. Trevino C.

He's gone almost for sure imo. Choice between going home and being celebrated vs staying in NYC and getting booed. Pretty simple

SF Giants can blow that deal out of the water IMO.
8/300 = 37.5 AAV
That would put him only behind Scherzer ($43M) and Rendon ($38.5M) in MLB. And just ahead of Trout ($37.1M). The highest Yankee AAV is Cole at $36M.

Clearly, the Yankees have learned nothing about trying to win in the court of public opinion. I wish that I didn't know this information. I can see it now. He signs with SF and our fans will kill Judge for turning down that offer. Meanwhile, the Yankees front office will say "at least we gave him a good offer". They're corny as hell.

Who says the Yankees were the ones who leaked this information out? How does this help them in keeping Aaron Judge here? I believe it was Judge's agent who leaked this out to Jeff Passan. In an attempt to show the Giants & Dodgers (and maybe even Uncle Stevie) that they need to step up to the plate if they really want to sign Judge.

It wasn't in the beginning of the 2022 season. Came straight from the horses mouth, Cashman. When the GM does it, it shows the fan base "at least we tried". Although, I do believe this time it was the agent.

Although, I do believe this time it was the agent. This past spring, the Yankees had "benefit" from leaking that info. At this juncture the new leak only puts them in a worse position, gives SF a baseline to work off of. I also think it was from the Agency, myself, although Judge is with a relatively small one, he is their one big star, so who knows!!!

Wow. What a gamble after he faded down the stretch. I thought the Mets were ready to throw money bags? Mets fans were dilusional thinking Steve "money bags" Cohen would just waste his fortune over spending as much as needed to bring a championship to queens. Like any owner hell make his decision on return on investment, meaning he won't lose money just due to some attachment to the team from queens. The one bright spot is that at least Mets are in the class now of big spending teams like yankees, red Sox, Astros, dodgers, angels and giants, it just won't above and beyond that list

Percolating on social media is headed to Giants. Nothing confirmed yet. But to me it sure feels like he's gone already. Its gone on too long for a high profile FA to stay with his current team.
