Primadonna Expensive Always hurt
Really don’t understand the attraction here. Nothing about signing Odell makes sense to me.

I have to see say he just got cleared so really signing him for any team is about next year, don't know how soon he will be able to help this year. That said he is no longer a #1, So wether he comes here or not they will still have to go into the draft looking for a #1. I think for him the best bet is Dallas if he wants to win now he would be their 2b behind Gallup. Never know they might bring him in if he wants to help a team in the middle of a rebuild find it's way and mentor some young kids in eh do's and don't in NYC.

Not a chance Odell signs with the Giants…..Buffalo or Dallas, probably Buffalo.

If he is healthy I would sign him to a small (very) prove it deal. Gives DJ a weapon and removes an excuse

Too much attention being placed on a guy coming off 2 ACL's.

He can't , he doesn't have that ability anymore. To do it the QB would need time and if Jones gets time the other faster receivers can do the job better.

Ironic a few of you in here are always talking about how DJ never has anyone to throw to....
That said - it's a risky sign and one that probably isn't in the best interest of the Giants long term esp if he wants big time money.
but if they do get him it opens things up for sure with slayton and Barkley and we can finally put the bed DJ doesn't have weapons shit either he puts up or he putters out. .I think it would help him out alot though.

I just don't think he will be able to make it through the rest of the season unscathed. Would be very hesitant to put any chickens in his basket...

He has jus been cleared if I remember right in Cleveland last time it took him full year after to be a good #2 WR don't know how soon it's is gonna take for him to be game ready. No Football since February 3rd major lower body injury, How much cap do you want to give a guy who has been injured 6 out of 8 years he has been in the league if you count this year 7-9 technically this is his 9th year even tho he hasn't suited up yet.

in the words of John Madden, its all about money.... And we dont have any. How do we afford his contract unless its for a multi year deal thats backloaded so we can fit him under this years cap? I wouldnt mind it, as we are desperate for WR help, but I just dont see it happening.

Lebron James will be a Knick too. Without demonstrating acceleration, COD or sharp cuts it’s a certainty he’s back less than a year removed from another ACL injury?

1. Why would he want to come to the Giants? At this point in his career he wants to chase SBs. We are nowhere close. 2. With what money are we signing him? Currently we only have a little over $3M in cap space. I guess it’s easy to get caught up in social media headlines without putting much thought into it. Why would he visit/the team host him for a visit if it was this simple? It's the back 1/3 of the season, obviously there is some mutual interest. Very easy to just say no for both parties. As far as contract terms, 2 year deal, with significant performance once tovea plus his major cap hit being next year since we have oodles of cap space. I think most teams are going to be in that camp based on the fact he's 30 and just had 2 torn ACLs.

IMO: a 70% OBJ is better than 100% of what we have now.

Apparently, the GM and HC disagree with you take. Or he would not be in the facility on Thursday and Friday.

Why would he visit/the team host him for a visit if it was this simple? Look at the progression of the visits: "WR Odell Beckham Jr. to start his visit schedule this week with Giants, then Cowboys and Bills" Tell me which team is the anomaly. It could easily be seen as leverage for his side. Maybe, but I really don't think it's far fetched to think he might want to come back here. He got his SB as a mercenary and contributed. If he thinks he's got years left why not come back and cement legacy with the team that drafted him and he had his most success with as an individual player. I can see it being important to him. Doesn't mean we're gonna sign him, but I don't think it's just leverage.

We have 52 MM in cap space next season Dallas has 2 MM in cap space and that is with a 7.3 MM roll over from this year if not spent. The Bills have negative cap space in the 12 MM range. Today the Bills have - $320,000 in cap space for the remainder of the season Dallas and the Bills are in no position to offer him a 3 or even a 2 year deal. The Giants are the only team out of the 3 that have the money to push to next season cap to sign him Allen is a 40 MM cap hit next season 77 in dead DAK is 50MM 90 in dead Neither team has the resources to offer him a 2-year deal. No way he is taking a 6 game deal. Just my logical opinion.

That might be true what about the future and cap if they do it fine with me, but it better work out for them this is a injury prone #2 WR at best coming off his second ACL wanting multiple years.

No one knows at this point.

That is a risk worth taking when in the playoff hunt. If we weren't. I would be against it. The goal of each season is to expand the trophy case.

Question that needs answering what is value at this stage because he isn't gonna give anyone much this year unless he is a complementary piece and possibly the same goes for future He is not the OBJ 2014 - 2016. If Schoen and Daboll think he can help I'm board but they better be right he isn't coming with a discount.
