I know one person who absolutely loves this medical staff: Jacoby Ellsbury.

14-2
The Yankees have gone mad with a AAA roster.
Gio Urshela 2 HRs tonight Kyle Higashioka 2 HRs tonight
It just something you can not explain.
The more banged up this team is, the stronger they get.
The O's are terrible too...

A billion-dollar plan for the Yankees in 2019: Get Bryce Harper and Manny Machado
Here's the projected 2019 lineup: Harper LF, Judge RF, Machado 3B, Didi Gregorius SS, Sanchez DH, Aaron Hicks CF, Andujar 1B, Torres 2B, DFC (defense-first catcher) C.
So how do they get those extra 10 wins in 2019? Simple: They go on the most historic free-agent spending spree in baseball history. How historic? We’re going to lay out a realistic plan for the Yankees to spend a cool billion dollars this offseason. That's "billion" with a "b". Read more. www.newsday.com/sports/columnists/anthony-rieber/yankees-2019-machado-harper-stanton-1.21775676Bryce Harper....Just what they need...another low average HR hitter. Sooooo glad this never happened... Bryce Harper is having a very Bryce Harper season. His batting average is .251, lower than his .276 career average, but .002 points higher than last year. He has a .371 OBP and a .838 OPS, again also down for his career, but nothing crazy. What is concerning, at least for those looking at Harper’s contract and projecting ahead, is his home-run rate. This year, in 501 plate appearances, Harper has 20 home runs. Wanna know how many plate appearances it took him to reach that number the last four years? 241 (2015), 391 (2016), 337 (2017) and 348 (2018). That 501 number represents a 43-percent increase in plate appearances to reach 20 home runs this year versus last and a 107-percent increase from his MVP season in 2015. That’s a staggering, and bad, trend, especially when you consider he’s playing in a more hitter-friendly park with the Phillies. While the rest of the MLB is slugging home runs at a record-setting rate, Harper seems to have lost his power, at least so far this year. While it is too early to completely hit the panic button, if you’re a Phillies fan, player or owner, you gotta be concerned. Harper’s contract is in its first year and he’s making $30 million for it. He has 12 more years and $300 million left on his contract. If his power numbers continue to trend in this direction, it could be the biggest albatross in the MLB. thebiglead.com/2019/08/08/bryce-harper-contract-home-run-rate-phillies/?utm_source=smg&utm_medium=wasabi&utm_content=home-hero

Grienke isn’t cut out for the Boston fan base or media.

Grienke isn’t cut out for the Boston fan base or media. I agree. Greinke is more of a head case than Price. Too thin skinned. Zack already said he was bored in his first Astros start. That's something the fan base loves to hear. Between Sale Price and Eovaldi, the RS are paying out the ass for mediocre pitching right now.

12-6 Good guys roll again for their 9th straight
Neo Gio with 2 more bombs. Who is this guy Barry Bonds? 4 in 2 games. Tauchman goes yard again, 2-5 HR and 4 RBIs. Stanton who? DJL, Maybin Romine with multi hit games as well. Those 5 go 13-25 with 11 RBIs. German looked great until the 5th. Gave up 3 ERs.
76-39 now

I don’t think Judge is 100%. That oblique injury is probably still bothering him. When he was injured I read a story that he’s going to be bothered by it all year and it seems to be true. These fly ball pits used to be homeruns. Sucks that this is the second time he’s had this injury. Hopefully he gets healthy for the stretch run.

He can still hit for average but his power is zapped. Arod called it when the injury happened. Said he wouldnt be the same the rest of the season power wise. So, 19 HRs in the last 4 games is an MLB record. This is without Stanton, Voit, Sanchez, Hicks, Andujar, Torres and a non powered Judge. Its insane to think about.

He has not pulled a home run all year. He is what he is at this point, an injury prone guy who will play around 100 games a year.

I think this is his second time with an oblique injury. Not good. This guy Urshella was super impressed by his at bat against sale. Down 1-2 and he fouled off a bunch of up and away fastballs to work out a walk. Really good at bat and shows u the type of hitter he is.

Connecticut cops swarm Brian Cashman with ‘guns drawn’ after mistaking him for car thief. Brian Cashman was swarmed by a group of Connecticut police officers who drew their firearms on the Yankee general manager Friday when he was apparently mistaken for an armed car thief, The Post has learned. The 52-year-old GM of the Bronx Bombers was driving his white Jeep Wrangler from Yankee Stadium to Connecticut after it was reported stolen last Saturday, according to team sources. The NYPD had found his vehicle abandoned in the Bronx and returned it to him earlier this week. Cashman was attempting to get to the Norwalk Police Department to have his car processed for evidence on Friday when he stopped at a gas station in Darien. nypost.com/2019/08/09/connecticut-cops-swarm-brian-cashman-with-guns-drawn-after-mistaking-him-for-car-thief/

Night our night. Lots of bad luck and JA Crap on the mound. Sanchez needs to find his form as he is back tomorrow. We badly need Voit or EE back though. And Judge needs to remember he plays baseball.
Get it together tomorrow boys.

Good guys win 1-0... wait, what? 1-0? The Yankees? Won a game 1-0? Weird...
Tanaka dominant. 8 IP 0 ERs
Urshela doubled in the 3rd and Gardy party doubles him in for the winner.
Bad guys lost..... meh, who cares about the Red Sox anymore....
Split the series and now its back to the Bronx to take on the Orange Birds. Then a bunch of series against winning ball clubs.

When does Urshela get the recognition that he deserves. The dude has got to be the hottest hitter in the league. Gets 2 hits almost every night and usually they have been homeruns. Already up to 18 homeruns and .950 OPs while playing stellar defense . I thought he was all glove but maybe he’s figured things out.

He is about to be a GG and SS at 3B while being the batting champion if DJL isnt careful. Dude is on fire. He said he changed his swing up to barrel more balls. Guess it worked.
