Looking at the scores from his best plays on those highlights, I can't say Beckham made much of a difference.
A great WR can definitely make your QB look better!

Beckham was the best for short period of time Manning trusted him and would put the ball where it was his or no ones it made fro some tough catches but thats what the greats do.
Bradshaw had Swann and Stallworth competing to out do one another
Montana had Rice and Taylor these guys all played above he Xs and Os the QBs had ultimate trust to put it and let them go get it.
Make no mistake it's not a 1 way street look what OBJ did when he left here and Eli next to nothing he started producing a better when he ended up on the Rams with Stafford.

Giants are in prime position if a QB is not there to draft a game changing type WR they probably should if they can't get there guy at QB that said if they trade down a few spots and get extra capital they might be able to get a #1 WR prospect and one of the top 3 CBs in this draft ft and fill 2 big needs through the draft. |

He had good WRs early on also not as good as Rice and Taylor tho I'm not taking anything from any QB what these guys do for them is give them a comfort level to throw 50/50 balls and know your guy is gonna make it happen. Giants haven't had that since OBJ or a QB that undeerstood how OBJ was gonna get open in tha phone booth and get it where it needed to be. |

yet we won Super Bowls with Burress and Nicks Now that’s a combo - talented - class - character. Plax made a poor decision that resulted in a gunshot wound but that’s not a knock on his character decision making maybe 😊 OBJ - talent - class and good character were absent and his star shined bright for a short time. I’ll take class and character over a self absorbed attention starved diva 7 days a week. I couldn’t stand Beckham. His dog urinating in the end zone stunt was an embarrassment to this great organization as well as his temper tantrum’s. I still don’t understand how anyone liked the guy unless all they care about is “ can he help us win “ ? That’s pretty shallow. |

I'll say one thing for the Giants organization - they made sure Manning had real talent to throw to for basically his entire tenure. Didn't hurt that the OL was top-notch for a good chunk of that time too.

Didn't hurt that the OL was top-notch for a good chunk of that time too. Some quarterbacks get lucky every WR works out for them even undrafted ones like Victor Cruz. DJ is just unlucky so far hopefully this is the year a WR can elevate him like all those WRs that propped up Eli. |

Unbelievable in the playoffs i was at that Packers championship game he and Eli killed that night it was cold and it was physical I was in teh end zone I heard the sound of Jacobs running over Woodson arm the end zone. |

At the end of the day the Giants haven't had a #1 in 5 years half a decade how the hell can a team compete in a passing league with a bad OL and no #1 WR to help the QB when he is under duress.
Those to thing need to be fixed or be a hell of a lot better starting this year

Nicks had about 1200 yards and 7 TDs that year but was our #2 because that year we had Victor Cruz as well and he put up 1500 yards and 9 TDs. Yeah we had a great WR that year lol. |

Beckham's first 3 years matched Randy Moss first 3 years. I think they're the best in NFL history. Once he got hurt he was never the same. OBJ and Eli were one magnificent team. Odell has been an ok WR ever since. Either Odunze or Nabors would give the Giants a legitimate big time weapon. |

Thats why I like Odunze if they go that way. Exactly. Odunze is definitely a guy who fits their character requirements. What doesn't get talked about a lot OBJ came fro the same draft as Mike Evans he has been everything that OBJ wasn't consistent a good teammate no whining and complaining he was patient, the Bucs had some bad years and bad QB play while he was there never anything negative from him. Odunze reminds of him that way. |

I'd even go so far as that a lot of the QBs that turned out to be busts never got a fair shake, because they were set up to fail. The worst teams pick first. So unless the QB gets lucky and happens to get on a team that is already solid and was just plain bad for whatever reason. or everything sync'd up perfectly where all the young players started developing at the same time, he won't pan out. Just look what happened to Alex Smith. He finally got a fair shake, stopped getting hurt, stopped getting a new OC every year and he turned out to be pretty good. Brock Purdy would have never work out if he was the #1 overall pick. Mark Sanchez had no excuse though lol. Although even he looked good at times. |

Even OBJ went later. I don’t think the Giants need a WR at #6 overall. |
