Anyone familiar? I heard his name brought up on a couple podcasts recently and he looks like an interesting prospect. He's built like a refrigerator and his athletic profile is off the charts.
TE might not be a priority, but I like the idea of adding someone who's 6'6/260lbs and can run like a deer. A legit two-way TE who's a mismatch for opposing LBs. That'd be a nice piece to add to the puzzle.

If he's there on Day 3 a TE might be a target. But I think we have 3 on the roster already for whatever they're worth. But size and athleticism are always worth taking a look at. There are 210 picks every year plus compensatory picks, so if your a top 250 to 300 player in college last year or so people have looked at you.

Nah, he is a Canadian and those guys are too nice to be paying football! We don't need him thanking and apologizing to people the whole time.

Looks pretty good to me. Wouldn't be a bad idea with Waller always injured and not sure if he's going to retire or not. Would be good to have a backup plan. I will say Bellinger was a forgotten man last year after a very decent rookie season.

Just remembering the Late great Giant GM who said " When in doubt draft Big ". He liked size over speed. You can always find speed, a lot more fast guys than real big guys.

Think he would compliment Bellinger nicely could be a nice 12 personnel package 2 guys who can block and catch a lot to think about fr a defense.

Also this is a strange draft 170 draftable graded kids went back to school this draft dries up fast 5th 6th and 7 th rounds are gonna be filled with UDFA graded players, If teh Giants feel thye need a TE which they might they will have to pull the trigger in teh first 4 Res or maybe get away with it top 5.

Yes this guy does seem to have everything that your looking for in a TE. Can he catch ?

Theo Johnson was nowhere to be found vs Michigan the last 2 seasons. Coming out of Canada he was predicted to end up at Michigan but decided to choose Penn State. That was a good thing Michigan got better TE’s.
Theo has lots of tools but seems overrated and underwhelming. Don’t waste a draft pick on this guy.
That’s my take.

Built our big OL that matched the Redskins famous OL "The Hogs". He built a dynasty for us from a garbage team.

Day three, jump on him but tonight we need a CB a S and really another OL more than we need a TE.

Your guy is the guy in the 4th he can block and needs a little polish to his receiving game but has the traits to be a beast in both the run and pass. good value lots of people had him as day 2 guy.

I guess we’ll find out! Pretty exciting prospect! Nice find! I honestly never clicked on this thread until they just drafted him because I thought “I don’t care, what are the chances we draft him anyways”. As soon as we drafted him, I thought “holy shit”, lol. I love his physical stats and everything about him, I think him and Bellinger could cause problems. I like this pick a lot more than our 3rd round pick, can’t wait to see him in action. On a side note, assuming the O line is at least close to average, I would think most NFL QB’s would do really well with this offensive roster. DJ has everything now, he better shine and not just be average or even slightly above if he’s truly going to be our franchise QB.

What I like about this draft and most of Schoen's picks they are either good value or right on target. I used to drive me nuts with Reese at times drafting guys that not another NFL team talked to or DG reaching because of need schoen is pretty spot on when it comes to value.

For 4th round, home run potential given the measurables.

Don't worry about the kid in the 3rd he has a good rep in the scouting community from what I have read he is a tough kid with some good hips and will support the run D like a safety he wants it. just like any CB he is gonna have some developing to do but he has the attitude and traits to be really good inside outside flex.

For 4th round, home run potential given the measurables. Once these young weapons get it down if Jones can't cook with these ingredients we have issues Bellinger has great measurable's also this can get tough with Wandale and Nabors to deal with.

I'm not concerned if Jones can get it done with weapons. He did work with Richie James, Slayton, Hodgins & rookie Bellinger. The concern is if the line isn't good is he is capable of overcoming THAT.

Pretty much all of the analysts say he's a good player. If he can be a solid 3rd CB for us his rookie year, and go on from there, he's a good pick. We'll see, as with all picks, lol...I still would have preferred Beebe personally, last time I'll complain about it though...

Theo Johnson is a lame pick IMO.
He’s loaded with athleticism and some speed. Hasn’t done Jack Shit with that talent yet. Nothing impressive at Penn State.
Him and Bellinger are the exact opposite of a dynamic duo.
He looked gun shy playing vs Michigan last fall. He was a Michigan lean coming out of high school. Fans were bummed he chose Penn State. It wasn’t long before Michigan fans decided losing out on him wasn’t that bad because Michigan had and got better TE and not stuck with the dud Johnson.
Even analysts on the radio said this guy is still raw. Maybe things will improve with the Giants but I wouldn’t lay any $ on it.
Our draft has been laughable.
Cardinals - Vikings - Chargers - Philly and others have made the Giants brass look inept.

Beebe is a good player you can complain about it just they loaded the Barn don't want to have to cut or expose your 4th or 3rd round pick on the practice squad.
