Thought we could post what we hear in this thread to keep all the news in one place.
Wonder if he would consider Jay Gruden for OC?

I would assume, but could be wrong, he could take some guys with him from the Patriots. How about Steve Belichick as the DC?

I like the idea of coordinators with HC experience. Many cases where coaches went back to coordinator positions and excelled after busting as HCs. As long as they don't try to over power the young HC, I like that they are there to lean on.

Gruden would be perfect... Ran the same system we did in DC and really wanted to coach Jones..
If Martindale doesn't get the Cleveland gig maybe him Dan Campbell in New Orleans
Defense Someone who prefers the 3/4 Wade Phillips is the obvious one
Would actually prefer to have someone on both sides of the ball with age and experience

Callahan o line coach and running game coordinator (what he was in Dallas) The teams that have the best running attacks for the most part actually have divided the staff into a running game coordinator and passing game coordinator.. This is the modern analytical style offenses have morphed into

I would LOVE Wade Phillips, with or without a cane! Last year his D went to the Super Bowl, and they were NOT the reason they lost! Guy has been great for years. Where's that poster that says he knows Mara--get this done!

Itd be nice to have a strong staff around Judge; with shurmur I wasnt aware of any of those guys besides an occasional look at bettcher. I know it doesnt really matter, but did anyone see Shula for one second this season?? lol.
hopefully the coordinators are given the space to coordinate; cringeworthy watching shurmur try to figure out his 'plan' behind the menu while the other team was already 4 quarters ahead of us. lets get a unified team on the field, and a unified staff on the sidelines

I was expecting more help from him..

I'm still in shock. This better work out. This will either be a massive success or a tremendous disaster.

This just in - Bill Belichicks Barber a possible hire for OC. Hysterical! It’s all such a joke, isn’t it? JJ: “Hey Wade, hi, it’s Joe, Joe Judge. How you doin’?” WP: “I’m sorry, who is this?”

One positive thing that is being brought up about ST’s coaches for HC that I’ve been seeing is the fact that they are the only other coach that deals with every other position and position group (other than QB at times). Bill B has said Judge could probably coach any position if he wanted to, so that and having influence from Saban and Bill should have him have a pretty damn good idea what he’s looking for in his staff. With everything I’ve read it sounds like he is a very detail oriented person and that is refreshing knowing someone like Bettcher having a complicated system where half the defense had no idea what the hell is going on, would not fly with him.
I really will be tuned in to his presser, because I want to get a better idea of his presence. He seems much more commanding and confident than Shurmur in the limited I’ve been able to hear from him.
I’m glad they are going outside their conventional way of thinking with this move. I’m going to be open minded and I hope he can work well with DG and his way of coaching will have us trending in the right direction

im thinking does a wr/ spteams coach know what he wants or what to look for in a oc and dc? why wouldnt he... he's a football guy and been in the NFL for 8 years. I am sure he has, as most coaches do, ideas of how they would do things
