It would be pretty cool to win the Super Bowl with Garrett as OC and just laugh at Jones. He was certainly a better OC than HC, hopefully he still has that in him. He has done well with young QBs in his career. Other than grooming Jones I just want an OC that can utilize Barkley to all his potential.

Craig Johns/RB coach, gets the axe...
I mean....I don't know what he could have done differently.

I would totally be okay with Garrett being the OC.

TE coach Lunda Wells, OLB coach Mike Dawson, DB coach Everett Withers and offensive assistant Ryan Roeder won't be retained. Why do I not see Hal Hunter on this list? Literally one of the worst coaches in football. Hunter should have been the first coach let go. The fact that he is still here makes me twitchy.

I'm guessing Jason Garrett is going to be announced as Giants new OC very soon. Will the new OC also be an Assistant Head Coach?

Looks like the Bills denied our request to interview Brian Dabol for our OC spot

Never thought of it that way. If we hired Garrett as OC and won the big one, how horrifying would that be to Jones and Cowboy Nation. I'm totally in.

He handles Allen extremely well, including yelling at him when its called for. Allen says he loves him and he's the best coach he's ever worked with. Not shocked it wasn't granted for a lateral move.

Yeah, the thought of Shula or Kitchens makes this look like a no brainer.

Garret has all the things needed IMO. Experience as HC, OC, and working with young QBs......with success. He needs a job and maybe wants to stick to Jerry .....maybe not. The only thing I dont like is that he has the stench of the Cowturds on him and if the the offense looks like crap we have to hear the a-hole Dallas fans BS. BUT>>>>>>>If the offense looks great we can bust their balls!!! Catch 22....

I find it interesting a deal hasn't been done by now actually. Who else is out there? I suppose these things take time though.

I don't think this is necessarily as high velocity as the head coach stuff. Garrett is going to be very selective about where he goes and I'm sure Judge probably has another interview or 2. Remember we had some people worrying the time it was taking meant we were keeping Shula and that's not happening. I'm anxious to see who is really going to be in this position and I'd be happy with Garret or an assistant on a playoff team we have not considered yet.

It'll be very interesting to see who Judge gets. The Graham selection was certainly not what I expected.
Garrett I think would be a solid hire, though I'm not sure if he's as much into the new age analytics and new age coaching that Judge seems to be about. But, he certainly has some of the stuff people seem to be looking for on paper. He's got HC experience (though it's kinda weird to work under a guy that you lost the job out to) and he's had success as an OC. If Callahan comes with him it makes it even better as he's a quality offensive coach as well.

The more time passes the more I think that Garrett will not be the hire.
Freddie Kitchens here we come! TEM’s head will explode!

I'm still hoping Mike Lafleur from San Francisco Seeing how Jimmy G and those 3 good, but not Saquon Barkley level running backs are being used. If he brings any of Shanahan’s scheme with him, as well as a bit of his brothers maybe, he could be quite the hire. It would also make sense that nothing has happened yet as he is still in the playoffs.

It would also make sense that nothing has happened yet as he is still in the playoffs. Lafleur is the passing game coordinator there but il sure his philosophy is in line with Shanahans. Looking at the passing game 1.Garrapolo thres for 4100 yards and had a 109 rating...(more below) 2.the use of everone in the passing game, especially how he uses Jurychzeck (deep seems, wheel routes)..this is litteraly what Judge wnats, find out what a player does and construct packages around each one of these players.. 3.Their screen game is about as good as there is in ybe league.. So combine this with their running game (we have to include the heavy use of jet sweeps to again everyone, including Kittles, and interior zone sweeps to Deebo Samuels.),which to me is fun to watch (let's run the same a gap run out of 5 different formations the same drive with 3 different sets of personal like they did in basicly the game ending drive which was all on the ground).. Easily the most balanced diverse offense in the league ... Lafleur would have more to work with here as well (well,no Kittles)

Oz has spoken. I have a funny feeling it wont be Eric Bienemy. He really wanted to be a head coach. I feel he will stay put in KC until another head coach vacancy opens up.

I'm not sure why this is such a popular opinion. If we were going to get a coach on a playoff team still playing we would have put in the request by now and it would be leaked out there. I very much doubt that's what is happening.
I wonder if they are trying to talk to Garrett and Calahan at the same time to see if they can work together. Stick it to the Cowboys and Redskins in one shot.
