Hand injury?? Upper Body injury?? A lower body injury wouldn't explain his dropsies this year I think it is a lower body injury preventing him from getting separation. Because of that more of his catches are contested, hence the drops. ehhhhh kind of a stretch..... especially when he bobbles them on uncontested catches when he has a step on the db. I have no idea though

I keep seeing people saying that Slayton is playing hurt, when did he get dinged up??? I sure hope that his hands are a correctable issue, its weird, last season it wasnt an issue at all. Maybe he over achieved due to lack of pro film on him, I have no idea, but he looks like a shell of the player we saw last season Look at how explosive he was week one Look at him now He got injured sometime week 5/6 It seems no one saw the game where his leg got bent back over itself, with the full weight of the defender even bending his foot back over itself - extremely awkward looking incident.

Give me Waddle or give me death.
Smith is great, definitely #2 behind Chase but his frame scares me. 6'1 and only 175lbs. A gust of NJ wind might be enough to knock him off his routes.

Waddle is kind of tiny as well...but comparable to my favorite receiver last year, Ruggs. It's that injury...if you are 100% sure he comes back at...100%, I'd not cry if he is the pick. Love the 10 second mark on the first video...Ruggs could do that over and over...stop on a dime as the CB is respecting that blazing speed, and bam...ball in hand...then he's scattering the secondary like keystone cops.

Lance loving him some Toney ... a spin in the slot?...as the Analyst can attest watching Florida games this year, Kadarius Toney has the moves. BTW, he's being roasted on social media for opting out

Remember this catch?
The, IMHO, Heisman trophy winner...from the stacked Tide, and that WR factory.
Mr Smith goes to Mt. Washington, and showing LSU they also have an OBJ....

Didn't take long for D. Smith to make an impact. 1 catch, 1 TD.
Apparently Smith isn't the burner of the group, Waddle is, but he looked like he was moving at a different speed than everyone else on that TD run. Real smooth, and under control. Very Kamara-esque.

I like Smith a lot. This receiver group in general is exciting. Maybe not quite as deep as last year's, but a lot to like.

There's #2. Pretty damn impressive. Based on a few plays, I believe his initial burst and vision are more impressive than his overall speed. Also, dude looks real skinny.....he's a beanpole.

Before last year's draft, when folks were talking about how good the 2020 WR group was, many folks were saying the 2021 group was going to be as good if not better. We should be able to shore up our WR's, and potentially TE, this off-season.

Very slippery and seems to catch everything too. The knock is his size but just saw him catch a ball in the middle of the field over a defender's head.

The people downgrading him are still stuck in prehistoric attributes with how the team was built in the past.... These kinds of recievers are the guts and motor to modern offenses ..... He probably won't run under a 4.4... thinking 4.45 ish...which is what Odell ran (and he really looks like )

I haven't seen Chase play much.

The performance of players playing now is tangible. Teams have to assume players who opted out won't miss a beat. I haven't watched a single snap, but this question is what worries me about players like the OT from Oregon and the LB from PSU. Were they really that dominant to think they can take a year off and walk into the NFL? There was actually an article today pertaining to the NBA draft and how teams may have had their big boards wrong due to the lack of workouts and combine. I won't be surprised if something similar happens in the NFL.

I agree with you but he's sooo good. There isn't a college defense that can stop him. He reminds me so much of Cee Dee lamb.

This is what he does. He kills teams there are no college defenses that can contain him. Notre Dame held him to 5 catches, 101 yards, and 2 TD's. In the first half.

Smith is officially a Heisman trophy winner Kinda a curse somewhat ...but wonder if this elevates him past Chase as the top guy

Smith is absolutely cleaning house with these awards. If by some miracle he falls to 11, I am making that pick faster than a speeding bullet. The most likely scenario IMO is him getting drafted by the Dolphins.

Most of us foward thinking fans realize good modern NFL offenses don't see size as the most important attribute because these are the guys that can threaten the entire field Goober old school fools still stuck in the past will not even consider anyone under 6'2 and think speed and dynamic ability is overrated This guy is great

I think Smith will be the #1 receiver taken. Waddle looks hit or miss to me. For every Tyreek Hill there is a Tavon Austin. Waddle looks extremely fast - haven't watched him much but in the highlights I just see simple routes and him just running by college players. I've read a couple scouts called him a gadget player..but a few said the same about Tyreek Hill.

I go back and forth on Waddle He to me probably can be dynamic as hell but early on will need something to make him not be "the guy" Tyreek Hill has Kelcey and Maclin early to be eased in Throwing him out there and "be our savior" ..not ideal

I think its funny the definition of waddle
wad·dle /ˈwädl/ Learn to pronounce verb walk with short steps and a clumsy swaying motion. "three geese waddled across the road"
Its like calling a fat guy Slim.

That versus the INCREDIBLE season Smith had makes me lean towards Smith It also makes it hard to compare Chase to Smith. Chase had an incredible season in 2019, now Smith does the same in 2020. How much are we willing to bet that players who opted out of 2020 are gonna be the same player we saw in 2019, cause it makes me second guess some of these guys that would have been LOCKS at their projected draft position
