This is just so crazy. If what is alleged is true, I don't see how the NFL does not come down hard on Deshaun.
And we shouldn't make light of the death threats and harassment of his children. -- Speaking about the attorney filing charges.

It seems fishy all these allegations right at this moment. Either Deshaun is trying to get out of Houston bad or Houston is degrading Watson value. Most FO have ears and eyes all over their city for their star players I am surprised this got leaked at this volume.

Agreed. It's difficult not to think this is not somehow related.
I should have clarified that I was talking about threats and harassment to the attorney for the woman/women.

Seems like a shakedown honestly. But in todays world, its better to have no comment. You side with the athlete, you arent believing the alleged victim. Side with the alleged victim, you are going against somebody who at this point has been nothing but an outstanding person in public eye.
Hopefully this all gets resolved.

Save face by accusing him of rape before trading him. That's all this is. Very classy Houston.

One of the cases alleged that he offered to fly a legit massage therapist he found on Instagram from Atlanta to Houston. 1) why would he do that. Are there no massage therapists in Houston? 2) why would she do that? Seems over like an over zealous offer from a client.
Maybe the offer from a big time NFL player was a draw for future business.
Either way the NFL has to stay on this because in one case I read the prosecuting attorney has noted how the NFL has been a paper tiger so to speak when dealing with domestic abuse and abuse towards females in general.

Just look at politicians too. Cuomo. And normally once one voices their assault/harassments, others feel more comfortable and follow so it avalanches. The odd timing of them shouldn't be a reason to disregard them however. I do think that there are a lot of false claims when it comes to stuff like this, but I also think there is a lot of truth too.

I am holding my breath on this one. I question why not call the police when the incident occurred? He is rich . Why not go after him pronto? Is it true or is it not? IDK. I am not a Watson fan and, I think he is a spoiled whiney QB brat. But this smells fishy to me.

The statement just bothers me , just so much wrong with it.
Bringing politics into it made no sense

Several factors I can think of. - The shock or embarrassment of it - Not wanting to seem like a money hungry gold digger faking it / getting publicly ridiculed. - Not wanting to lose the client who is rich and pays well - Feeling pressured

You really should start thinking things through Save your reputation as a GM after your first move in office was publicly saying you are not trading Watson* Fixed it for you

It could be Watsons camp also. Another thing to think about also it is a good out of paying what's left on his contract because Watson breached terms if such terms were in there.

But now they are not willing to protect him or are making a point of reminding him who butters his bread. Watson doesn’t have to be innocent for such a plan to work.

Yet no formal criminal charges have been filed by any of them.. only lawsuits 😂

I'm going to take a wait and see approach on this one. Sexual assault is not to be taken lightly, but there really does seem to be something rather squirrely in this case.

Not the greatest statement to RT.
Conjob? Trying the case?
There is no case to try at this stage. They have simply filed lawsuits. And how is this a conjob? What it could be is retribution.
Are they trying to making him look bad so Houston fans will support them in trading him?
Latest word is there are 9 women who have come forward.

Figure it out The timing DOES seem a bit fishy.
But having said that....why would the team do anything to devalue him in a potential trade?

CEOs usually have egos the size of the universe. Put yourself in that position for a second. Factor in your reputation is being put on the line by a young black man, and not a Matthew Stafford. I'm 99.9% sure that factored into the decision regardless of unpopular opinion. "Who TF does he think he is.. etc"

I have. The motivation for hurting him is obvious, but the motivation for further hurting their team makes no apparent sense.

I think that's a stretch. I respect bro but it's a different world out here man, respectfully. Look....These guys are all about self interest. There is no way they are going to hurt his stock in a potential trade because they care more about being less unpopular. Which BTW..if they get hosed in a trade, would be much worse. The fans would revolt if they didn't get a king's ransom in a trade.
If Watson holds out, the fans will turn on him. They know this. They aren't stupid. They will do anything they can to keep his stock as high as possible, even if he holds out.
It's definitely possible that there is something nefarious about these law suits. The timing and the sudden number of them is completely suspect.
But the team has every reason to keep his stock as high as possible. There is no way they have anything to do with it.

You don't understand that the allegations are to pamper the die hard fans who expect more than just a 3rd round pick. Watson has leverage. Other teams know this. Im not giving you 3 1st round picks for a guy who is about to sit out 2021. But... if he's a rapist maybe my fans won't be too upset about a 4th and 5th to end the drama. Ceo talk. Honestly, this is crazy talk.
And this kid NEVER had any leverage. If he refused to play, he would not only not get paid, he would have to reach into his bank account and pay BACK bonus money he's already collected. You keep saying he has leverage but it's just not true. How is that leverage? If he followed through on his threat, he could lose all his money and possibly end his career. It makes no sense.
But that aside you are clearly a true believer and there is no amount of logic I could use to convince you that you're wrong. No offense but you seem hell bent on believing the worst possible explanation of these events.
You take Occur's Razor, and turn it on it's head.

Bro, the “civil lawsuits” are playing out right in front of you. Read up on the lawyer and his affiliation to the Texans owner. But again, sayless Janice McNair? really? She has it in so much for Deshaun Watson that she would risk losing her franchise if there is any evidence of what you're claiming? Because that is what would happen. The McNair family would lose their team. You take the most fantastic, and unlikely scenario, and presume that it must be true. That they would be so self-destructive because of some secret racist beliefs.
It makes no sense.
