Would he be big enough for 3-4 DE, or would he have the cover speed for OLB. Sucks he has no fit in a 3-4, MAYBE he could be justified in a hybrid system??? It would take alot of convincing for me to draft him for us

Im loving either C/T Dalton Risner or LB Josh Allen in the 2nd. Gotta say im leaning more towards Risner because we could get nasty pass rushers like Granderson or Jelks later on, and Allen while awesome is mainly a pass rusher.

Not sure if I like Oliver for this team and their scheme, he would have to bulk up to be a 3-4 DE and then we would shift Tomlinson inside to NT or trade him, because Snacks is still 1 of the best NT's in the league and has been showing no signs of slowing down

Even though we grabbed 2 cb's, given they are 2 of the top cbs in the draft, i still like this draft.
We really address the OL with the top C in the draft with Risner who can also play RT, Biadasz who is a great interior guy who can play G/C, and the top OT prospect before he got injured with Adams
Later on we grab 2 pass rushers who are totally oozing with talent
Overall i love the draft, we address the OL, we get 2 excellent CB's allowing us to trade either Jackrabbit or Apple for picks

Ihonestly dont love either of the qb's to draft em top 5. I think Herbert and Lock are good prospects and have alot to work with, but drafting so high I want a qb i could play week 1 if needed. Herbert has all the tools arm, mobility, size, but his field vision and how he progresses through his reads turns me off big time, he stares his guys down and fires or he will make 1 look on the same side of the field and fire. Lock is just inconsistent, he has it all too but he will have an outstanding game and then look like a different guy next week. We have so many holes on the team that we can draft in alot of ways and we would make the team better, id rather pick the best player available over being backed into a corner and picking a qb because we should. If we can get a 2nd tier qb like Tyrod Taylor, Marcus Mariotta, or Teddy Bridgewater for a year or 2 while we groom a 2020 draft pick

I’m still po’d that DG cut Webb but didn’t add a replacement. I honestly thought Bridgewater would be traded higher than a 3rd and I’d love to see what he could do for us but I think that ship has sailed. We don’t have many draft picks to work with next year so we would have to trade one of our current players to get him, which there are quite a few I can think of but the point is we could have got him for much cheaper than whatever the Saints will want. I don’t see them giving him away for less than what they got him for and we don’t have a 3rd to give them next year. This whole things is an absolute mess.

Deep draft in corners and on DT....slim on QB. Well, we are now in QB hell, thus first up to the flames, Herbert. I'm going hog mollie wild on offensive line...taking a flyer on Trey Adams in the 4th despite a serious back injury, surgery and missing all of 2018. Healthy, and he's a potential top player number 1 overall...consider it another back up QB pick we will release. In a 4-3 I like Bosa, still debatable on a 3-4, despite his big bro handling the switch fine...I'd hold onto to Vernon and if we don't go QB, and teams in front take trades for Herbert and Lock, hopefully we have Ed Oliver drop to us. The guy is being triple teamed this year he is THAT good....he's generational, and Donaldesque.
He's the only player I would take over a QB for our hell.

Absolutely Kase...he's a phenom player. He's long enough to handle it, as would Bosa handling a 3-4 as being athletic enough to drop. The guy is being double teamed every game, sometimes triple teamed...he would handle a 3-4 DE fine...sure as a 3 tech on a 4-3 would allow the QB pressures to happen more frequently, but as a 3-4 DE he can easily mow down the QB on any and every pass situation .... I'd take a Von Miller or Mack when we were playing a 4-3, why not despite not fitting a scheme that can change at any firing...you simply take this freak and let the DC play with his new toy MP5 and let the destruction begin. In short, he's a 3 tech on a 4-3, or a 3-4 DE...and will be moved around the defensive line creating nightmares for offenses, the guys who block, and the opposing oc's.

Since everyone has a hard on for Herbert so far ill do a mock with us taking him 1st
4: R1P4 QB JUSTIN HERBERT OREGON 36: R2P4 C DALTON RISNER KANSAS STATE 106: R4P4 CB AMANI ORUWARIYE PENN STATE 137: R4P35 C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN 144: R5P4 S LUKAS DENIS BOSTON COLLEGE 178: R6P4 EDGE CARL GRANDERSON WYOMING 239: R7P23 EDGE JALEN JELKS OREGON 248: R7P32 EDGE OSHANE XIMINES ODU
If our draft worked out like that id be THRILLED.
1st- we get our future qb who has all the talent and athleticism in the world, just needs work on his field vision
2nd- we get arguably the best center and arguably the 2nd best RT in the draft with Risner, dude will upgrade either RT or C depends where we want him, big, mean, plays to and sometimes through the whistle, awesome run blocker, has some trouble speed guys
4th- my 2nd fav CB after Greedy Williams, big, quick and a damn good cover guy, i could see him going higher that early 4th round
4th- probably the 2nd best center and 1 of the better guards in the draft, i could see him going higher as well. not alot of holes in his game, solid run blocker, solid pass pro guy, can play guard or center from day 1
5th- ball hawking safety, plays all over the field and would be a great cover guy to compliment LC, only knock is that he's only 5'11 187
6th- Granderson totaled 77 tackles with 16 tackles for a loss, 9.5 sacks, two interceptions and one forced fumble.
7th- Jelks 59 tackles with 15 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks and seven passes batted last year.
7th- Ximines recorded 44 tackles with 14 tackles for a loss, 8.5 sacks, three passes batted and four forced fumbles.
I feel like ONE of the last 3 has got to work out, TFL's are my fav stat when looking at pass rushers and DL, these guys are all small for DL in a 3-4, so they'd be more so OLB's

I would be really happy with something like this.
Get the QB we need in the first with Herbert. Guy has all the tools to be good and has all the weapons you could ask for. I will be tuning into every Oregon game I can from here on out (try to catch as many of the other top QB games as well)
Get a good pass blocking OT in the 2nd. Really like what I've seen and heard about him, although I will admit I haven't done the most research on OL this year yet. I'm just jumping back into things since the season is toast
4th round I really like Amani out of Penn St. I think we need help at CB, depth especially. Beal is basically our 3rd round pick this year, but I like the value here for him in the 4th
Render out of Iowa is solid. Iowa always produces solid offensive lineman. Center is an area of need for sure. I think he will be at the very least quality depth early on which is a good get in the 4th
I would like to get another safety or at least depth there. Riley has had his moments, but I'm personally not the biggest fan. Thompson is a tough kid, can tackle, can cover, etc. Good get in the 5th I think.
Granderson in the 6th I love. Kid has the tools to be a player at the next level
Olamide is a big play guy with experience at RB and WR. He could be used in multiple different ways. He's a real explosive guy and would be someone I would see how he can do returning punts and kicks
Gilbert III is a versatile player. He knows how to play the game and is a good tackler. He could he used in multiple different ways. I like his game
