To dismiss this win as "a game we should have won" is blind fervor. Perhaps you haven't watched many Giants games as of late. There are NO "should wins" on our schedule. Every game will be tough to win, so let's take a moment to enjoy the one's we DO manage to win.
If that one handed catch doesn't prove to you that DJ is our franchise QB, then I don't know what else to tell you. He is finally lifting the team and making other players look good. There was no way this team was going to lose after that.
Big kudos to the defense. It only took you 7 games. I hope this carries over.
I am not optimistic for the rest of the season. 4-6 wins is about all I can comfortably predict without lying to myself. That said, I think Dave retires at the end of the season no matter what the record is. Abrams gets the nod for at least a year and Judge & Jones get one more year to get it together. If it still doesn't improve, then we blow it up.
Anyway, that's my take as worthless as it is.

Interesting take with Abrams for a year unless they improve.. Welcome back glad you're doing better.. Thx. It's more Mara being hesitant about firing another HC after 2 only years and no better QB prospects in the draft. When/if he blows it up, it will be all the way.

One game one win. Some good to take from it.
Jones carries the team in the two wins they have. Thats the most positive sign.

crazy thing is, we're right in the thick of the tough part of schedule, once through the chiefs, theres winnable games if we have half a roster and they can just play tighter football. if we could play with the energy we did yesterday, we should even give kc a game at least.
oh, wait a second, am i being positive? craziness

I am slightly optimistic. DJ has given me a bit of hope. I won't crown him the franchise as of yet. If he is I would love to see the ceremony, with Mara putting an actual crown on his head and a lot of bowing. Would make for good tv We got 10 more games, lets see what happens.. Come next week kumbaya will be over and the pitchforks will come out and the infighting on these boards will continue - more entertainment for me..

The performance by Sam Darnold was one of the worst I have ever seen from an NFL QB. It was Eli, 2004 at Baltimore bad.
The Panthers weren't beating anyone yesterday.
Not sure what I take from that game. DJ can certainly make plays. It's never been in dispute. It was a convincing win. I have no idea what it says about our team. Let's see what happens against an angry KC team next week.

A week ago, fans here were praising Rhule as some supreme head coach that we missed out on that had the Panthers "way ahead" of us.

maybe its says they still give a damn I agree. Judge definitely hasn't lost the room. yeah, the winning coach maintains control of the room while the loser lost control is the weekly theme. Have never felt Judge has lost the room regardless of outcome so far.

As bad as Gettlemen was in 2018, as many bad buttons as he pushed, he was definitely right about passing on Darnold.

Didn't go with Rosen so he was 50% right.. Yeah!

My take. Sam Darnold played like a fan with a hangover. Carolina would have gotten more out of him if they just went into victory formation all game long.

I've seen much worse performances than Darnold yesterday. The backup completed 3 passes. Carolina had a bad day, but nobody here was expecting us to beat them.

Shurmur didn't like Allen, so that was never going to happen. And everyone passed on Jackson, he was never going to be an option for us.

Darnold was pretty awful yesterday that's for sure (under 5 pts for my fantasy team), but their defense looked pretty good. And what's up with Rhule going on 4th down inside his own 40? That was some messed up coaching right there.
I think Garrett put together a creative game plan using Jones' athleticism to lead an undermanned offense. Seriously, just think about who we were pl--starting on offense.
Jones awareness was terrific. He looked poised. His vision was great. He took advantage of the Panther's D all game with his arm, feet, and "hand" too.

I couldn't believe how bad Carolina was yesterday. They weren't beating any NFL team...not even the Bears.
Let's see how we do next week.

I had us winning 24-20 and several in the GameDay thread poll had us winning. I think that the Giants had a lot to do with Carolina having a bad day. Our team deserves a lot of love for that game.

I think that we are going to get smoked by Kansas City, but that was a nice win by NYG yesterday. Our squad won that game way more than Carolina lost it.

Last Sunday night I was upset. I was in a bad mood all Monday.
Today I woke up feeling like we won a playoff game. When we beat KC next week I may wake up feeling like we won the Super Bowl.
