The last Giants coach to take this team to the playoffs made his return to Met Life this morning and there was much rejoicing. And Davis Webb's sustained success since McAdoo neglected to start him for Eli back in 2017 has been a continued embarrassment ........Oh wait, never mind.

Looks like his Midas touch is working for Dallas pretty good, 328 yards of offense today with 4 turnovers and 95% of their starters in the game.

Who's this Ben McAdoo you are talking about? The guy who had his mother dress him after the biggest job interview of his life. If that doesn’t ring a bell, the last winning coach of this franchise. And if you still don’t recall him, the last head coach who had the stones to bench Eli Manning.

It was pure desperation from a guy who was not in any way prepared to coach an NFL team. Starting with that suit. I don't dislike him. I blame it more on this horrible organization making yet another bad decision. And as far as the silly "last winning coach comment," most here know that was totally because of defense. His offense was bottom 10 both years.

McAdoo was a horrible head coach, but at least he had the fortitude to make a decision that he felt was best for the team. Everyone knew it was time to move on from Eli, except our owner and the Manning fan boys.

To be fair, Eli never got "benched". It was Eli's decision not to play if they were going to be taking him out of games.

He was going to be benched regardless of his decision. 2-9 record with the season lost, it was time for change. The Giants mistake was they inserted Geno Smith in, when everyone knew Smith was just a stop gap. Davis Webb starts, no one would have batted an eye.

That doesn't show bravery, it shows he was stupid enough to set himself up to be thrown under the bus. And that was after the suit. His mistake wasn't benching Eli. It was benching Eli for Geno, who everyone in the tri state area already knew couldn't hold Eli's jockstrap. The ****ing QB who even the Jets rejected? Give me a break.

Either play the kid or don't. Playing Geno was the nail in Ben's coffin.

Ownership and management gave him the ok.. Point is, he was the only head coach who had the guts to make that call. No one would have brought that idea up to ownership. Again, I didn’t agree on Geno Smith playing, that was beyond stupid. However, the decision was right to make the move.

In a two part move you lose any credibility the first part may have generated when you completely cock up the second part.

But he'll never admit to that. You could say that about the last two coaches. At least McAdoo got us to the only playoff appearance in the last 10 years.

You can never bring a coach back that loses a team how quickly people forget that was much worse then this., Shurmur probably deserved a third season more then him his offense was moving in the right direction.

You guys set standards that no coach could live up too. It’s worse than asking a surgeon to perform an atherectomy with a spoon. “He sucks as a surgeon!!!” Lol

We spent a shitload of money the last two offseasons, and what do we have to show for it?

Every post you defend coaches and GMs as if we all don't know the players suck. Coaches and FO share some of the blame for putting the roster together and not getting the best out of it.

But at some point of failure over a decade, you would think an organization should go out of business or be bought by a more successful organization. That almost never happens in the NFL boys club.
